Review Dough Zone Dumpling House - Seattle

Kristina Miller
We love dumplings and while visiting Seattle, we found Dough Zone and loved it! We didn’t know what to expect and it was great going in with no expectations, because we thought everything was delicious! The sweet and sour cucumbers were a surprising favorite. The soup dumplings and Dan Dan noodles were incredible too.

Surprisingly the foods were delicious. The service was fast although all the tables were fully occupied. The most I like was called Q-Bao.

The menu selection is excellent. I placed an order to go with relative ease (it’s on paper, but Ok). The soup dumplings are delicious, especially the shrimp and the chicken ones. Another delicious item we enjoyed was the sweet and sour cucumber. They have something for everyone at this restaurant. I highly recommend.

Great food, fast service, nice ambiance. We walked in added our name to the waitlist and we’re seated before the time they gave us. FYI you can add yourself to the waitlist via Yelp instead of doing it at the restaurant. When you sit down they give you a pen and paper with the menu. You fill it out with your order and they bring you your food. Everything was fresh, delicious and came out quick. And the prices for the food was really good. We had the Q-Bao Buns, the Pork and Shrimp Pot Stickers and the Dan Dan noodles. I recommend all of these.

The restaurant is bright and spacious and the menu has so many options for everyone and anyone to get something they enjoy! I loved the fact that the menu has pictures for just about every dish so you know what to expect when ordering. The food came out quick and it was very responsibly priced. The employees were very polite and helpful throughout the meal and the most important thing, the food was DELICIOUS. The soup dumpling were our favorite!

Dough Zone is an eclectic dim sum restaurant with many unique items that you can’t get at the other dim sum places. They are very unique. Our server Jimmy helped us order and was very friendly. - Spicy beef shank- the fusion of flavors of Szechuan peppercorns they used danced on my tongue and the meat melted in my mouth - Onion pancake - nice flaky layers - Chicken potstickers - almost like a soup dumpling with less broth and delicious filling - Pan fried ground beef cake - almost like a minced little meat pie. Crispy outer layer, soft inside - Beef noodle soup - nicely seasoned rich broth and a good portion of meat pieces. Ramen noodles were fresh, spongy and went well with the soup.

There is an unfortunate smell when you enter into the hallway that leads to the entrance of this restaurant. Could definitely lose your appetite. But I'm so glad I did not! This was my 2nd time dining at Dough Zone. My first time at this location. The service is very quick and the food is delicious! I would strongly recommend the chicken & vegetable wonton soup! I also enjoy the soup dumplings. They're divine. Quick service and reasonably priced.

Decent place compared to Din Tai Fung. Had some unique items that most places dont carry. DTF XLB are still the best imho. Get the pork and crab XLB. Very flavorful yet delicate. Does not overpower you.

Really delicious dumplings. You can get super full off of a few plates and the wonton dishes were really great. We also bought some extra noodles and those were very spicy and savory. Always happy to come back to Dough Zone for more dumplings.

Good and service was great! Everything was super hot like it was freshly made to order! (As it should) and my pig ears were delicious! Not everybody’s favorite but I loved it ᵕ̈ we ordered the pork and shrimp pot stickers, hot and sour glass noodles, onion and soy sauce noodles, and the pan fried ground beef cakes. It was delicious! I would come here again! ᵕ̈ around $20 a person!

I loved their passion fruit green tea! We ordered their famous Dan Dan noodles and we loved it. It had a unique spicy aftereffects which I really liked. The portion is decent. The chicken pot stickers were hot but okay. The service was quick, fast and friendly. The atmosphere and price is decent too. I'm coming back here again :)

What I really like about this place is that the dough for everything has a nice bite. The soup dumplings held their shape well with no leakage and were tasty. Also really liked the Dan Dan noodles. Great texture on the noodles and the sauce was quite numbing and creamy

We dined for lunch today and ordered the zucchini shrimp dim sum, xiao long bao (pork and pork + crab) multiple orders, spicy beef pancake roll (absolutely fantastic), chicken wontons steamed, mala spicy noodles and finally for our kiddo we got the noodles with minced pork. Everything was bang on and delicious. Worth the prices that are pocket friendly. Ambience is family friendly however the overall neighborhood seemed sketchy if you go after hours. Overall a positive experience

Very different than what I'm used to but very delicious and I would definitely go back for the soumplings and the bao. Also super last, I've only been to places like these that have been very dimmed and atmospheric and this one is super loud and bright by the other customers, the waiters and hostess just busy keeping up with the many people in there but theyre very good about helping clearing the tables and not having them too full as they get pretty small when it's just two people

Get the soup dumplings, they were fantastic. The fried on the bottom bak buns were tasth as well. The other couple of things we got were not that great - kind of a fusion attempt that went too far. Service was great though. Would go again.

Excellent! Soup dumplings were amazing and we loved the Dan Dan noodles. The chicken soup with dumpling was also great - very comforting. Fast service and great location.

Pretty solid dumplings and wantons. Fresh and juicy. The bao was delicious as well. We also got the spicy cucumber as an appetizer which was lovely and gave us a nice kick before we started the meal. Overall this is a solid place in chinatown and you wont go wrong if you pick this place . There can be a wait though . So try reserving your spot through yelp

Horrible experience ! When I walked in I got sat by the bar I was by myself ! As I sat down I'm not sure if I was greeted by busser or server they didn't even tell me their name . I ordered my food another couple came sat next to me ( they were white ) they got greeted warmly, asked for drinks server told them their name etc. my food came our however the couple who came before me got their entire mea before I did .. my bao buns took 15.20 minutes server never once came check on me but deff came check on the couple next to me .. I stood up from my chair to ask for my food because it took 30minutes I'm not sure if this because kitchen was closing .. but .very terrible customer service I usually tip but I don't believe I wanted spend more money I felt like I was being discriminated either because of my skin or because I came by myself .. I'm not sure which is which but I was excited about eating here but never will go back again at least not this location ..the food flavor wasn't the best however the naan bread wasn't bad ..

My go to place for northern Chinese food. Only concern is that quality seems to be getting lower over time, or it could be that my taste buds adjusted.

Used to be better. I had a disappointing visit. I love Dough Zone! But today, tiny Sichuan dumplings, two fit in a spoon, Dan Dan noodles with no meat, and ground beef fried buns that were tough, like they’d been microwaved, or the dough was very overworked to the point of being tough and chewy. All the flavors were spot on, save the lack of any visible meat in the Dan Dan noodles. Crossroads in Bellevue shop

Dinner at Dough Zone in Issaquah is so yummy. We started with the chicken pot stickers, then ate the chicken Wontons in Szechuan sauce (boiled dumplings), Q-Boa pork Joan boa (boa is the big fluffy dumplings), broccoli with oyster sauce and the the dessert we must get every visit the mango pancake (I can’t honestly tell you what it is but it is delicious and it has real mango inside). #doughzone #doughzoneissaquah doughzoneusa #potstickers #dumplings #bao #qboa #boileddumplings #steameddumplings #broccoli #broccoliwithoystersauce #mangopancake #dessert #dumplinghouse #food4paige food4paige #foodissaquah #issaquahwa #issaquah #food #foodie #eat #eatissaquah #eatissaquahwa #foodstigram cityofissaquah #Eatingfortheinsta

I used to love going to eat at Dough zone Seattle but the last time was such a disappointment, the food was cold, they brought out food that I did not even order and the service was terrible.

What a fun experience! We'd never been to a dumpling house before, so our waitress was very accommodating in explaining how it works and also offered some great suggestions. Everything we had was great. We can't wait to go back.

Amazing food! It’s our favorite. We just did a very large to go order today for the first time. I was very impressed with how everything was packaged and labeled so we knew what each thing was. SO good!

It was our first time trying dim sum. They were helpful with delicious recommendations. Loved it!

I want to like dough zone because it's cheap and delicious but every time I go I leave feeling disgusted. Last time I went was a year ago so I thought I'd try again today. I found two hairs in my bun today. It was gross. They offered to comp me for the one bun with hair in it. I rather pay extra to not eat any hairs.

Excellent food, one of the best Xiao Lhong Pao in the US.
Ellen Beeman
Delicious dumplings, especially the xiao long bao and Jian buns. It would be great if you posted a current copy of your menu on FB.

Great food for a great price! Always looking for a reason to go there.

Great food & busy place. People were waiting all the time we ate. Seats around 40 but worth the wait. Northern Chinese style dumplings & noodles.

Wow can't be beat. One of the best Dim Sum ever! Be sure to order the Qbao

Great XLB, slightly juicier than from DTF. The place just opened so I didn't think the quality has stabilized yet. The second time I was there, the XLB was smaller, but the filling more tender and tastier. The noodles in Szechuan sauce was perfect, in both texture and taste. Mouth tingly good with a goid balance of prickly peppercorns, chili, pepper and vinegar.

I love the spicy noodles with minced pork and the pork and crab xiao long bao!!
