An incredible little shop. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful little breakfast (:
I recommend the Torta Rustica!

Can't wait to visit my family in Seattle, again. Then I can Pick up the BEST pastries every single morning for breakfast!!! Favorites chocolate croissants, better than what I had in France! OR Cheese danish with fresh peaches barely baked on top. OR whatever else is fresh, even savory scones. Everything I pick has been perfection itself.
It is hard to find a,really good bakery, I think. Columbia City is such a unique, cool neighborhood just S of Seattle. The bakery is cozy, clean & cool vibe! Places to sit or room to stand while ordering & waiting for drink. Pastries & coffee drinks are delicious. Staff is very nice
Just what a cozy neighborhood bakery should be, and the baked goods -yum! Do you ever look at a menu and say "ok" ?
Picking up my thanksgiving order was a yummy dream. Wouldn’t be thanksgiving without a Columbia City Bakery pumpkin pie. My favourite bakery in the city.
I had the most divine croissant I have ever tasted.

I had their bread while visiting the Bookstore Bar and Cafe and they were so amazing that I asked the chef if the were made in house or sourced. He raved about this great bakery he sources them from so we drove 20 extra minutes to pick up a few loaves up before heading back to Portland. Fucking delicious bread!
Stopped by today with a very old coupon that was purchased at some fundraiser or another that I can't remember, but this amazing bakery honored it anyway. Thank you Columbia city bakery. You have made my day. We will be back!
delicious coffee & exceptional pastries. exactly what we needed on a rainy morning.
Best cure for a gloomy day: cozy atmosphere, delicious pistachio snail (it was hard to choose, everything looked great), and hands down one of the best dirty chai lattes I've ever had. Thanks!
Worth the wait! Amazing coffee, pastries, and breads.
Great food & atmosphere!!
Best bakery in Seattle period!
Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside
Excellent coffee and baked goods; worth the wait. Also, they have Tegan and Sara on their playlist. Pedal to the metal awesome!
I am new to this neighborhood and I'm proud and glad this is our bakery! I just got a whole wheat sourdough and a pistachio snail pastry that is mind-blowing good I'm glad that the pastry wasn't that big else it would be sinful!
People commented that they were forced to buy two of the same items and I was concerned at first for someone with a small household but I'm glad that this wasn't the case I was there today :)
Staff was so polite and helpful and gave me a recommendation for a loaf with my requirements.
Let's support small local businesses! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Passed by this place on a Saturday. There was a good queue of people outside waiting to place their orders. It took about 10 minutes or so to get the order in and about another 5 or so minutes to get the order. Looked like there was a good selection of items. Ordered a curry potato and cauliflower hand pie. It was very warm on the outside and a little cool on the inside. The dough was very flaky and a little oily. It was very filled which was nice. I wish I had a little bit of salt to bring out more of the curry flavor. Also ordered a couple of blondies. Liked it because it was a nice big cookie shaped like a brownie. Would be good with some vanilla sauce.
By far the best bakery in Seattle, Columbia City Bakery always delivers. Get there early because they sell out fairly quickly, I recommend pretty much anything, everything I've had here has been excellent.
This bakery is unreal. Every pastry, bread, quiche, everything. So delicious, so well portioned. The coffee and espresso are very good but you should really try to get everything on their menu. You won't be sorry for waiting in the long line. Friendly, efficient service and great prices.
Columbia City Bakery is by far the best bakery in the area. I ordered cinnamon twist, lemon bar, and lavender lemon cake. They all were phenomenal. The lemon wasn't too over powering. I can't wait to come here again. Must go if you haven't already. Columbia City Bakery has limiting seating but there is a park close by so you can head over there. Also they sell out pretty fast so get there early.
Wow!!! It was so good! I eat jam tomatoes sandwiches and soy latte...the stuff was welcoming and kind. Support our local bakery of Colombia city.
Would be able to spend a week here trying every drink, pastry, quiche, and sandwich and truly wish I could! Wonderful atmosphere and friendly baristas.
Colombia City Bakery has Herkermer coffee!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰 I was here for the bread and left with a latte too! 🥖☕😍 it's the little things 🥰 (drove 2.5 miles for this lovely tasty baguette). Lines on the weekends as it is a popular spot for neighbors to grab a bite, that said the line moves quickly! I waited about 3 min on a busy Sat at 11:15 am).
Literally my favorite bakery of all time. I can't tell you how much I crave the ham and gruyere cheese croissant. They've got a wonderful selection of pastries and breads. They also sell their flours too. Be aware of their hours though. I believe they're only open 3 days a week right now.
You are the best in this part of the globe. Balanced recipes perfectly baked and ability to keep the neighborhood feel with being so well known and busy always is an art of making happy customers.
Today I met one of the great people who work there. You are the ray of sunshine and happy energy. Thank you for being so kind ❤️
everything is so good, love the hand pies and the croissants! great service every time
Such a trash bakery. Has so many options. I love that you just walk right up to the countertop and order.
One of Seattle's excellent American bakeries. Competes with Macrina for the best bread. My Americano was stellar, from the craft of the drink to the mug.
I had a walk-in visit one day and got a traditional croissant. In fact, I got two because they sell everything in boxes of two (which definitely pisses me off). The croissants look more American than French, you know, like an apple pie or a mushroom turnover, but they taste surprisingly not bad at all, and the cross section reveals some really crafty lamination.
Columbia City Bakery currently only opens two days a week from 10a to 3p, so it's not easy to get something casually from them. Maybe I'll come back when their operations come back to normal.
The Findlay is just OMG. So good. Smoky hot brisket deliciousness. Just get extra napkins because that sandwich will mark a shirt. It's worth it.
I LOVE THE BAKERY! Been going here since I was a a baby and have grown up loving their treats. My favorites are the pretzels (preferably in knot form), the savory toccata (a recent find and SO GOOD), the croissants (crispy buttery perfection), and the cinnamon twists (basically the croissants but with cinnamon sugar, amazing). Really all their stuff is great, GO BUY STUFF FROM THEM! Please :)
We live in Montana. Every time we visit Seattle - every time - we must stop at Columbia City Bakery for breakfast or road food. It's become a tradition for the last 6 years or so. Their pastures and bread are sooo good. Today we bought the chorizo hand pies. Yummm! Tender flaky crust and savory filling. And the chai is outstanding - a little extra cumin gives it a unique flavor.
Quite literally the best cold brew I have had in my entire life. Drip is very good, but the cold brew is amazing.
Not a pastry person myself, but the baked goods always smell amazing.
Welcoming staff, and a generally pleasant and friendly environment.
Very good baked goods and coffee. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
