Review Westward - Seattle

Ciara
If you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience, look no further than Westward. They are offering an incredible selection of dishes that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making every visit a true pleasure. My recommendation about the food 1. Seafood tower. I love their oysters are fresh and they offer four different sauces. 2. The crispy potatoes which surprised me and I think it's worth trying. 3. My personal favorite was the spicy clam dip and chips. it's no so spicy and the chips are so crispy.

Beautiful restaurant on the water. Outdoor seating and view were a perfect pairing to the fresh oysters and delicious food. Recommend the baked oysters, the green onion risotto and the peach cobbler was a perfect ending to a delicious dinner by the water. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting Seattle.

We had a great time at Westward on our visit to Seattle. We knew the oysters would be fab here, and they certainly were. We also had the spicy clam dip, halibut ceviche, crispy Yukon potatoes, and Hama Hama Manila clams. All were incredible! The potatoes were a sleeper hit - perfectly crispy and wonderful.

Great place to hangout and have a good time. Beautiful view and a great place to eat your favorite oysters. Delicious and fresh as always. Good vibes, great service and gorgeous atmosphere. Must go

The server was good, nice and friendly. Waterfront environment, could be chilly sometimes at night, wear appropriate clothing. Plenty street free parking, however, need to be carefully do side parking so that street cars do not get close to your car back while passing.

We made reservations here for a Friday night, but there was still a long wait for the outside seats with a view. Thus we settled for a long table closer towards the inside of the restaurant that we shared with another party. The wait for a table with a view was understandable with amount of people at the restaurant, but I would just suggest honoring requests for outside/waterfront dining so those who made reservations don’t have to wait if they had planned in advance. We had drinks and they were pretty good, and we ordered the baked oysters and the clam dip for appetizers. Out of the two, the clam dip was our favorite. For entrees, we ordered the poussin and the halibut, and both were also very delicious! The chicken had a nice char and went very well with the chilli oil that it was plated on. The halibut was a little salty for my taste, but the star of the show was the charred veggies on both dishes. I’ve never had ramps before, but it was on the halibut, and that as well as the roasted turnips on the poussin were so so so yummy. I would pay for just a plate of the roasted veggies. Our waiter offered us a free donut for dessert, which was a very sweet ending to our evening. Overall, good dishes and great views! Try to be here for the sunset if you can :)

This is THE place to be on Summer evenings! Get there early and snag an outdoor table or Adirondack chair and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Union. Order two each of whatever oysters they have and don’t skip the mignonette. The baked oysters are good, but I would skip the lardo on top. It was a little flaccid and greasy. Was looking for something crispier, but maybe that’s not how it is intended here. Clam dip is also tasty and a bit spicy. The chips that come with it are good but could use some salt. Cocktails were decent and they have good N/A options, which I appreciate. You are paying for the view (and paying a pretty penny!) and it is worth it during that magical period in the PNW when the weather is amazing and before the smoke comes.

I've been here three times over the course of three years. Views are spectacular, but the service is bad to the point of being memorable. The servers have the enthusiasm of a boiled clam. The oysters and muscles are tasty though. Edit 10/12/23: Fourth time’s a charm. Had a lovely dinner with friends. Service and food were excellent. Raising my previous 3-star assessment to 4-stars.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate a special occasion. The view is stunning! Came for lunch on New Years Eve and enjoyed the spicy clam dip (their house made potato chips are to die for!), oyster po boy and the rockfish sandwich. The service is consistently charming as well. A must go!

The atmosphere is great but the food is too expensive. Oysters are $5 each but the cocktail sauce is an additional $4 😳 The pea shoot salad didn't have much flavor so I put the leftover cocktail sauce on it so it didn't go to waste.

Beautiful waterfront location!! At the end of Lake Union gorgeous boat viewing! Service was perfect! The food was delicious. A bit pricey but you pay for the location, food is more of the upper scale gourmet I loved it but not for your burger eating crowd.

The food was super tasty and well prepared. All the dishes we ordered were on point. The drinks could have kept me there for hours trying them all. We were offered free hot cider as we watched the Christmas ships passing. My first time at Westward and watching the ships was a perfect moment I will never forget. What a view, what a meal, what else is there! 5stars

The views and ambience is great...hand down. We had two dishes - one was spectacular, one was average. While I would totally come back to give the menu another shot, the service is keeping me from doing it. Our server was less than acceptable, and honestly, she ruined the experience for us. She was perturbed from the moment she approached out table the first time, and she carried it with her into her service with us. Not good. Took 30 mins to get drinks and an hour to even order our food. So, a "Good" rating is being nice. And its too bad, because the place is super cool, especially on a beautiful Seattle evening!

Everything was delicious from the oysters to the trout. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Worst end of a great afternoon! Didn't start out that way....Pulled up to the dock and got immediate service from the dock- hand which was great service. As we were getting changed from swimming gear to restaurant attire we were harrassed 3 different times to get moving and get into the restaurant. We docked, we were committed, but we've been having a laid back day and weren't moving extremely fast. These dock-hands changed into "thugs". Our experience kind of changed... Then we were seated at a wonderful table and the view and atmosphere was amazing. We ordered oysters (which were amazing and from Alaska. So everyone knows I loved them :) Then we received our food. Joey let me pick and we splurged for the special, Octupus. I took one bite and there was a long black curly hair that ended up on my fork. We sent it back graciously. Our waitress was an Angel. Then I got my second plate. Guess what I had in my second plate???? I'm pretty sure that it was my first, plate... YEP!! So hard when there is an amazing idea; but less than average follow through. And guess what??? Now I'm hungry!!!!
