Review Le Caviste - Seattle

Laura Alexandra
Excellent service! Good atmosphere! This place has a great variety of French wines! I ordered a dessert wine called Macvin du Jura, and it was absolutely delicious! The planche Fermier was great! I added blue cheese, and it was a great complement. I absolutely love it! The butter and the bread were super tasty. This is a great wine place in downtown Seattle.

This place is wonderful! My girlfriend and I went again last night for the second time and enjoyed some lovely French Vino. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. They can answer questions and make recommendations. For example, my gf wanted a bumble wine and tried two types. I enjoyed a nice red wine. Lara one of the servers was very kind and fun to talk too. We are already planning our trip back in a few weeks for more great wine! Oh I forgot to mention last Sunday they had a pop-up Oyster Tent, with fresh Oysters from Hood Canal

I missed the bistros in Paris and this place reminds me a lot of them. They have a great selection of wine and the staff is really knowledgeable about them. Their mushroom special was great. Also like their cured meats and cheese assortment

Super cute and romantic. Dimly lit with lots of lights and analog menu system gives this spot an old school charm that I haven't had in awhile. The house bubbly was good and the wild forged mushrooms were lovely. The servers were lovely but can get a bit busy so order when you can. Defs coming back and looking forward to it.

Great selection, good seasonal options, great cheeses and meats and some amazing wines as well. Reminded me of my time living in France, felt very authentic. Knowledgeable staff too.

A friend recommended this place, and we were not disappointed. Make sure to go early, and get yourself a table. The food is so so good. The staff is so so friendly, and the prices are good.

As always, it is a pleasure going to Le Caviste, always friendly service, amazing wines, and great food. It's a great place to meet friends. It can get crowded 5-8, so plan ahead. Also, if you want to enjoy the fresh air, you can get a sit outside.

overall experience was incredible! Everyone was so knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate to lend some advise or details on their selections. Charcuterie was equally incredible as the wine. A new date night spot for my girlfriend and I or a night out with some friends! Highly recommend!!

An excellent spot for some French food and wine! The energy of the wine bar is incredible- people genuinely talking with one another and enjoying the great array of wine paired with some delicious food. Great spot for a 2nd or 3rd date! Try to get a seat away from the far wall though, it’s hard to read the menu as it is up on the wall.

There aren’t too many French wine bars in seattle to compare to, but it doesn’t matter. Because this one would undoubtedly rank #1. Great service, tables inside and outside (although there’s quite a wait on a Friday to get outside tables) and amazing service. The menu is confusing since it’s French but any glass would be $8-12 which is well priced for this area. We also got their regular sized charcuterie board (the smaller size) and it was more than enough for 2 people. Comes with crostini but we had to ask for more bread to finish the board. Great ambience, well priced, and felt authentic.

Love this place. Delicious nibbles and even better wine recommendations/selections. So happy this cozy place made it through the pandemic and is now thriving.

What an amazing hidden gem in downtown Seattle, had a really good gastronomic offer (food and wine) and outstanding service. The "planche du Beaujolais " (a.k.a. picadita) was delicious. Downside was that they don't take Amex and you find it out at bill payment time :( otherwise it is a must if you are in downtown

We're lucky to have such a great wine bar in Seattle. The long-time wine industry Francophiles running this scrappy little space keep a fantastic and always evolving list of by-the-glass pours and fair-priced bottles. The list is carefuly curated to go with the menu of mostly shared charcuterie boards - which are amazing. Your best bet is to give the server an idea of your preferences and let them take the lead - for both the wine and food. Thank baby Jesus they survived the past few years and have emerged better than ever!

Imagine finding a small oasis of French wines in a dessert of Pacific Northwest/California wines!!! La Caviste is exactly this oasis. The selection of French wine is the main attraction accompanied by a good sideshow of French style tapas and entree’s. Do yourself a favor and branch out from the local wines to savor the deliciousness of wonderful variety of French wines. The owner is almost always on hand, but always friendly and eager to help you find a French wine which suits your pallet. Bon Appétit !!!

A wonderful wine bar that seems to specialize in a French experience. There is a thoughtful selection of wine and several small food options that would pair well. The environment is cozy. While we were there everyone was talking to everyone. There is a table in the corner called "the desk" that is perfect for a more private dinning experience. A bit pricey, but understandable considering it's location and selection.

This place is a real treat: the wine, the food, the delightful service, the combination made my evening. Read the reviews, the only reason not to come here is if you're (a) vegan, or (b) otherwise don't want to eat a little bread, meat, and cheese with a glass or two of wine. The butter really requires its own 5-star review, it's an absolute revelation.

Great drink and great food. I had the opportunity to sit outside while it was good weather. The petit aioli had a wonderful aioli that was a perfect balance of garlic, lemon, and salt. The tartare was perfect with the onion, capers, and hint of lemon. The formage was also very special...and I hardly ever eat cheese. If I lived here, I would frequest this spot. A little slice of France in Seattle...albeit a bit more expensive.

Excellent selection of wines and snacks for wine. Some tables outdoors on the sidewalk -- very pleasant on a balmy evening. The assiette de Bordeaux was a nice charcuterie board for wine. My only (minor) complaint: the casing should have been removed from the saucisson before it was sliced.
