Cafe Besalu - Seattle - Photo album

Small, neighborhood bakery. There is usually a line outside the door, but it goes quickly. There are benches outside for waiting and for eating, and a few tables inside as well. Their croissants are some of the best in Seattle. They're buttery and flaky and have beautiful layers. We also tried the
A tiny cute bakery. There are small round tables inside, outside has benchs, a few tables and stools. Parking may little tricky since they locates on a big road. Small celections but they keep baking so that they restock their products pretty often. We were there on Sunday around 10 am. Busy and alr
"Oh snap!" is all I can say. Had a croissant with bacon and it's a good thing I was sitting down. Buttery? Check! Flaky? Check! Light and fluffy? Check! Check! My day was done after eating this bit of heaven. Do yourself a favor if in Ballard and get a bunch of these to share with friends.
By far the best bakery in Seattle. Their croissants are excellent. Their quiche is creamy and crispy and buttery. Never had a bad or average pastry here. I really hope they re-open.
Googled coffeshop and Besalu popped up.. I mentioned they had great reviews and this was my first time in. I ordered a beautiful machinations and the Barista gave me a chocolate croissant on the house! I highly recommend this place . Great customer service and coffee and awesome customer service!
As others have said, this is the best bakery in Seattle - by leaps and bounds. Croissants so airy and flakey it’s like eating buttery clouds. I check back here often to see if they’ve reopened, and sincerely hope with all my quiche-loving heart that they do reopen.
I came here on a cloudy Sunday and ordered a Pain au Chocolat after a few minutes of waiting. I like the slight bitterness of the chocolate with the crispy layers of the croissant. Worth waiting in a line for this.
Worth the wait! They have a large selection of unique, delicious pastries that are well priced. I had the pistachio croissant and it was fantastic! There’s indoor and outdoor seating and the food is packaged nicely for take-away, as well. You can buy whole bean coffee in addition to your typical cof
This place is pretty close to my place and it seems very recommended. So I gave it a try and it was really pleasant visit. I really like the quiche and the sweet pastry too. Would like to make another visit to try the other menu here :)
This place has one of the best chocolate croissants that I've ever had, and I just got back from France. The quiches are also amazing here. I heard on the weekends the lines are out the door but we went on a Monday at 11ish and there was still a small line. Very popular place.
Grabbed a seasonal raspberry croissant with filling. It was a nice treat to have to start the day. They had many other pastries.
Best ham and cheese croissants in the city. Everyone is so nice at Besalu, and every pastry I’ve tried is consistently delicious. Because they make such yummy treats and it’s a small bakery, they can quickly form a line, but they do such a great job of moving through efficiently, so don’t let a long
Somebody give this place an award already!?!? Light buttery flaky melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness.
By far the best chocolate croissants in Seattle! Really all of their pastries I've had are phenomenal. They use coffee beans from Herkimer, and I'm a big fan of the mild earthy flavor of their coffee. Particularly the lattes are great, rich and not too sweet like some other places.
Great fruit Danish! Try the pear! The ham and cheese and onion and gruyere cheese pastries are really good too!
Thank you so much for making sure I got my order on Christmas Eve! I don’t know who the employee was who dropped them off at the hospital (I’m a nurse and couldn’t get there the day before because of the ice storm) but I can’t thank that person enough. The desserts were absolutely delicious-thank yo
*Update! Bought a variety of pastries the other day, waited in line for maybe 15 minutes but 100% absolutely worth it! Everything I got was so fantastic, fresh and absolutely delicious! I just had a coffee but it was delicious and I'll be back for some pastries soon! They all looked absolutely fant
Neat little neighborhood bakery coffee house place. Pastry was beyond expectations, very high end. Whoever's in the kitchen putting this stuff together has the magic. My Americano was also great, naturally sweet big coffee flavor, because they have the grind and dosing down just right and use good b
