I love Ludi's !! Not only because this is my personal family's restaurant, but because of the hard work and determination my family has gone through to make this a successful business. Although they restrict some customers for service there are REASONS for their doings. Some interesting people that come are drunk or disturb the peace in the restaurant, that may afflict the customers. Those who do that , are given chances , but if the problem continues then, of course, you're going to get kicked out. It's a restaurant not a playground. Besides that, the food is amazing! All of their dishes are made with love. Making sure any of your additional requirements to your food is added. The setting of Ludi's is not that great, but other than looks the food and servers are prominent. I love you Uncle Greg ( owner), Ate (waitress, daughter of Greg ), and Ludivina ( daughter of Greg, and namesake of " Ludi's"). Keep up the great work!
We've been to Seattle numerous times, and when you walk towards Pike Place Market, you inevitable pass Ludi's.
We've always wanted to try Ludi's but somehow never did. This time around, we stopped in.
First off, the area Ludi's is located attracts rather interesting people. When we went (morning) is was ok and no interesting people were around, but I imagine later on in the day or night these interesting people come out.
Ludi's is not fancy, and very rustic. There are signs in the restaurant that says $3 minimum, and it looks like there is only one washroom.
After perusing the menu, I really wanted to try the 3 piece fried chicken meal, but it included soup or salad and it felt heavy for breakfast, so I went for the pork silog.
Service is rustic, but they did ask us how we liked our meal and they did refill my coffee.
Food service was ok, wait wasn't too long; the meal it self was huge ! 2 large pieces of pork loin - cooked very well, despite it being a lean cut, it was juicy and moist. The marinade was also good. I asked for the eggs to be cooked over hard, but it arrived over medium. Oh well, no big deal.
For the price your pay the amount you get, it is a good deal. I would not hesitate to come here again, as the food is quite good.
Woooo!!! Porksilog is the .... Woooo!!!
Porksilog is the way to go! 2 pork chops, 2 fried eggs, rice and I added some French fries to mine. BEST HANGOVER FOOD. Good prices too.
We stopped in at Ludis after a few days in Seattle. We were looking for a good old fashion hearty breakfast which seems to be a monumental request in Seattle. The place looks like a dive but I encourage you to step in & give it a try. The portions are generous, service is quick, friendly & responsive. Corned beef hash with hash brown & fried eggs was tasty. The cheese on the Denver Omelette was a little too thick. My daughter's Oatmeal was the perfect consistency and my son's fried eggs were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend.
Stopped here as a tourist for breakfast before the King tut museum trip! Sooo pleased we did! I had the pancakes with bacon and egg. They arrived before I had a chance to sip my drink! The pancakes were utterly delicious!!! Loved the crispy bacon and my egg was cooked perfectly to order. My husband had the clubhouse sandwich and it said it was good. Perfect portion sizes. Coffee was nothing special especially given the Seattle location. All in all great place for a quick bite of breakfast!!
Good food and good service. We were looking for a breakfast spot and found this location.
I originally chose to eat here because i wanted to try their brioche french toast, but unfortunately when we got there they told us they didn’t have any. So I settled for a pancake. The pancake was delicious. Customer service was good. If you’re looking for a quick, clean place to eat breakfast I recommend you visit Ludi’s.
Place is so packed all morning, expect to wait.
Ube pancakes - amazing flavor, texture and fluffiness. Ordering only them is a lot, I had leftovers. Side of sausage and hot chocolate good too. Staff super friendly. Great music too!
FYI - setup so you order your food when a space has opened up, before you're seated.
Can't wait to visit again!
Cannot recommend this place enough. Family-owned and operated. Cozy and fun atmosphere. Normal breakfast menu, but you must try the specialty menu as well. Hearty and hot, not greasy, vibrant flavors. (And go ahead and get that Irish coffee or hot cocoa, you won't regret it!)
Perfect little family owned breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Seattle. I was in search of a diner style breakfast, but all the other places were too fancy or too hipster. Ludi's is the classic real deal. I ordered the western omelet, and the portions were huge. Great deal. I wish I was feeling more adventurous and ordered one of the breakfast rice dishes because they looked delicious, but I decided to stick with what I know. Service was fast and efficient, and you pay ahead of time which was great because it saves you from having to wait around when you're finished.
First time here and we met the owner Uncle Greg. He was so kind, very humble person and has sweetest souls. Food were so tasty, affordable with a huge serving! Service was fast didn’t have to wait for our food. Definitely get their Beef lumpia too. Highly recommended! ❤️
Come meet Tito Greg and eat his authentic Filipino food. You'll love it. First timers, take heart: just order the Silog Combo! Sweet tooth? Go with the Ube Pancakes! Seriously, you can't go wrong.
I love this place. The portions are huge, the food is amazing, and the people working there are so kind and sweet. We showed up on Saturday at 1 and there was a line outside the door, but it moved decently quickly and it was well worth it. The ube pancakes are EVERYTHING and so large—easily splittable among a whole table, which is what we did. I loved the lumpia, too. They gave each of us a leftover cookie because it was almost closing time :) Definitely going to make this a regular place for me!
Ludi’s has such a welcoming environment. Feels like home even for a lone traveler. The food is amazing and even got to meet the owner and 2 of his 7 daughters. The crispy pork belly is to die for. Definitely give this spot a shot
Had not been to the new location. If you have not been to Lydis you have to go. The Filipino food is so bomb. Spam musibi and lumpia and longanisa ... Link sausages that are just a tad on the sweet side. And little pecan pies and just a really really great place. Huge portions.
You order first then you sit. It truly is no frills and fantastic. Ube pancakes. I mean it's all great. And yes vegetarian lumpia and yes you can find something if you're gluten free. And you can. Goose potatoes or sausage or bacon with your breakfast.
Bathroom was clean and there is just so much history and generous portions.
I ordered the Lumpia silog and single Ube pancake. I was delighted when I was told I could order one piece of Ube pancake! However a point to note that I found it quite pricey. $33 USD in total felt abit much for the ingredients.
I enjoyed the beef lumpia and egg! Wished the rice was slightly tastier, that would make it five stars.
The Ube pancake was fantastic!! Loved it. The single portion was still really huge but I loved the flavour of the sauce (tasted abit like yam/coconut) and the texture of the pancake. Very yummy.
Service was really excellent. Very friendly. I think it was the owner, I had a coffee cup (from elsewhere) and he offered to top it up for me. I declined but I felt it was such a nice gesture. Overall a nice ambience and glad I tried!!
