We tried this place out yesterday early afternoon, and wow! From the ambiance, to the food, to the mixed drinks, and the marvelous wait staff, this was a true HIT for my friends and I. Best Mac and cheese I’ve had in a long time and the Bloody Mary was excellent! Highly recommend this place to others!

Hands down the best BBQ this side of the Mississippi! Great drink specials and service. Highly recommend you try the brisket.

Amazing smoked brisket dip...waitress was a complete doll and all the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I accidentally stumbled on this gem and will go back before I leave Seattle

The food was amazing, service with Jenna was great! We had never been there before so when we asked our server for recommendations she was spot on. Everything we ordered was delicious, the only one I did not care for was the bread pudding - it was way too sweet. We got it to go and took it home and heated it up after we went to the haunted morgue. We will definitely be back!

We just had lunch here since it's close to our hotel! My Mom & sister loved their pulled pork sandwich! I had a wonderfully savory portabella mushroom sandwich with home made barbecue sauce! Unique, delightful food! Succotash side was well seasoned & had great flavor If I lived here, this would be a regularly visited restaurant!

I am a bit of a smoking snob, and let me say that this establishment is simply awesome. Great selection for the protein lover and let’s not forget the awesome beer choices. I give this a five on all levels.

Cask & Trotter is a gem in the Lake Union area in Downtown Seattle. Magnificent food, and generous portions are complimented by an awesome selection of Scotches, Bourbons, and draught beer. If you are in the area, it needs to be on your list. Make sure you say hey to Steve the owner.

Best wings in the PNW and a great vibe. I've been hanging here with my son Tone all through is years at the UW. It has a chill environment, great BBQ, and excellent spirits. Love the place....

We had the pulled pork and the brisket sandwich. The garlic fries were amazing! I wish now that I would have had the bread pudding.

I had an excellent meal. The beef brisket was delicious and so were the parmesan garlic fries. The service was great and friendly. Definitely will be going back again.

Excellent pastrami. Likely the best I've had. They brine, season and smoke their own.

We usually have our first lunch when traveling at a different place, no more! We found our mid day home for when we travel up! Thankyou all so much, food is amazing, service is perfect, great first day in town!

This is more like a 4.5 star experience. It was quiet inside and we were directed to seat ourself. There is a map that you can put pins on it where you are from, that was super cute. The service overall was okay, our waitress did forget our biscuits, but was attentive and kept our waters filled. The fried pickles ($10) were just okay. The mac and cheese had no flavor and could have used some salt, but the noodles were cooked okay. The pulled chicken sandwich ($19 for deluxe) was the best thing, hands down. It was juicy and flavorful, but the bottom bun was quite thin, so it was soggy and unedible by the time I ate through one half. The tangy coleslaw was not to our taste, but I love the different sauces. I would try again but maybe get the sliders, since the price adds up here. The 3 meat meal ($35) is enough for two people, so you can get that and save some money since the portions are high. The hot links were hot too haha.

Love this place. BBQ is great, but the Brisket Poutine was a real game changer! The menu is endless and has so many other delicious sounding food that I’ll definitely be back to try. When the main window/doors are open they allow dogs at the tables next to the open front. Great view of Lake Union and a great drink selection as well

Nice place. I ordered the BBQ Plate with two meats (baby back ribs, beef brisket) garlic mashed potatoes, and corn bread. Fried pickles as an appetizer. The pickles were really good. For the price, ribs were a little small. Brisket had just enough fat, but were a little on the dry side. The corn bread had no flavor. I had to add butter before every bite. They were out of Coke, and I really needed one. If I were to go back, I would try a burger.

This place is great, I like that is open late specially, after the game or if you like to eat late. The food is great, and the drinks a good too. I don’t eat meat but I got the Portabella burger, its perfect I ended up getting, bbq sauce on the side. My brother got a salad and tri- tip and brisket , and for side he got mac & cheese and mashed potatoes , he loved everything he ate the whole thing. As for drinks I got a Moscow Mule and he got an classic old fashion. We stayed at the Marriott just up the street may be about 3 minute walk from the hotel perfect location. There is also a big bar with pool tables.

Above average experience. I liked the mac-n-cheese most. The baked beans were pretty good, but I was disappointed with the garlic fries. They were not salted and I didn't taste any garlic. I did like the atmosphere and it's a whiskey bar as well...

Cask and Trotter delivers again! It has been over five years since we moved away from Seattle and our first time back! Excellent food and a great assortment of drinks! Will certainly be returning the next time we are in town!

This is going to be my neighborhood bar that's how much I enjoy this place. Fantastic whiskey selection, great beer rotation, really nice staff and a very chill vibe! The whiskey prices are great in my opinion and they have some special bottles. I like the food here especially given how difficult it is to find BBQ in Seattle. I recommend the chicken wings (brined, smoked and finally fried very lightly, unique deliciousness) and the smoked chicken thighs as well as the moist brisket. It is not a very large space but it has a wonderful ambience, there's a rather cozy feel to it. I recommend stopping by if you have a craving for good whiskey or some BBQ!

My husband and I discovered this awesome spot while hanging out at Lake Union. It had a great atmosphere and smelled amazing when we came in. Their service was very good, the food was delectable, and their 3 house barbeque sauces provided at the table - incredible! Also, their Brisket Poutine appetizer was out of this world; I actually ended up having it as a meal, because I love great Poutine.

It's hard to find good barbecue, and not only does Cask & Trotter deliver, but they have some unusual menu items which take it up a notch further. I had the alarmingly named BBQ Sundae. It was (my choice) beef brisket with sweet BBQ sauce layered with baked beans (good southern baked beans with ham hock and the like) and mac and cheese, served with very good corn bread with butter and honey on the side. There was nothing half-hearted about this hearty lunch. I would absolutely order it next time I am in Seattle.

Nice place. It is noticeable that this place is kinda far from Texas. The service is fast and friendly, but the pork chops were dry, and the artichoke sauce was plain Mayo.

The happy hour wings and pulled pork were good, but the pork ribs were great. I enjoyed the vinegar slaw, and the garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. The service was attentive, friendly, and speedy. It was lively, but not too crowded or noisy, for a regular dinner hour.

We visited Seattle for the week and when we had a craving for barbecue we decided to google the best bbq in Seattle. Cask and Trotter popped up and after approving of a couple pictures we decided to Uber over. Boy did it not disappoint. We had the Brisket Sundae and the Poutine Fries, both highly recommended. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service was great.

This place was close to our hotel, so we tried it. Small with paper for table clothes. I asked for a drink most places don't make anymore (Singapore Sling) and the bartender was happy to try it. It was pretty good. I ordered the BBQ Sundae with brisket, Mac and cheese and coleslaw. It hit the spot! My friend had a smoked chicken salad. The chicken was VERY smokey. Overly smokey. TOOOO smokey. The staff was very nice.

Best for takeout, for views of Lake Union, and for online delivery. The BBQ is the best in the city, the sides are delicious and they have a bomb mac and cheese (tip - add bacon!) there is a long bar where you can relax, have a beer and enjoy views of Lake Union. Also an enormous selection of whiskeys.

New American BBQ worth the name. I got to the first item on the menu and stopped. No further reading needed. I’m a dual citizen Canadian American who’s just relocated from Austin, TX to Seattle. I fully expected to never get BBQ worth the name ever again. Brisket is hard to do well, Poutine is hard to eff up but my American experience of Poutine has been 10 years of lackluster. The brisket was intensely smoky, with a perfect mix of crunchy ends and melting inners. Gravy was traditional (which to me is an unadulterated requirement). If I could critique one thing, I would have liked more curds distributed throughout the layers.

Had it catered (thus the poor presentation in the photo) and WOW! All the meats we're perfect. Marinated portabella was delicious, but the sides kept me going back for more! If you have a function and need food for everyone, choose these guys.
