It’s been a while since I had authentic Italian food. I was glad that I came here. If you want good Italian food in a very nice decor, Il Fornaio is a great spot. My server, Jake, was very professional and personable. I definitely see myself coming back here soon!

This was a great date night! Staff was friendly and service was very fast-- they knew we had tickets to a show at the Paramount and were highly accommodating. Wine was delicious and food was phenomenal. Definitely recommend!

It was our first time here and we loved it. Sadly, it's only going to be open for another few weeks. The food was delicious and fresh, and the service was spot-on. Even the bread at the beginning was so good! We would have definitely returned when we were back in town.

We have been here only once. I had gnocchi and they were little heavenly pillows of deliciousness. The owner is a warm, lovely person. I would go more often and give it a higher rating but I find the atmosphere too open and kind of cold. It is definitely wonderful food.

Service was scattered and slow. On a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being awesome, I would give the service a 5. The food was good. I would give the food a 7. The best part of the dining experience was the atmosphere. It's classy and upscale. The likelihood of my going back is 50/50.

This is a great place to eat. It has a fine menu of Pizza and Pasta. The Soups are thick and very nice flavors. This place is right down town and not hidden,so no excuse not to come in and warm up after shopping or walking around town. The people that work there are very nice and will describe the menu selection so you make the right choice. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes great food.

I had been to II Fornaio once before about ten years ago. I had a great time ten years ago, the reason I haven't been back is multiple reason but nothing to do with the restaurant. I went last night with my wife. The service is fantastic, the server was full Italian which helps with the Authenticity the one thing that brought me down a bit was the lipstick on our wine glass. I know it's small but there are standards with the prices. you serve a pizza for 20.00 your glasses and your silverware needs to be clean. There's no excuses, for that none. But otherwise the food was good, the service was good, the lighting the decor the environment was good. I do suggest if you haven't been there go. Markos P.

Pretty solid place. There's some oddities for sure, my favorite being the bathrooms that are upstairs, but the staff is quite accommodating. My favorite example of this is at one point we asked for a garbage bag to improvise some rain gear and they were more than happy, also happily taking care of even the most unusual of bags. Food's solid, maybe slightly overpriced but not by much. Parking's dismal but that's the area in general really. Good service and fairly good food, very little else can be asked for.

The Food is like Superb! I stumbled across this place while Christmas shopping with my family. This place serves Legit Italian food! The atmosphere is beautiful and very cozy. If you happen to get a window seat the view is awesome. I highly suggest the Scalloping with garlic spinach if they still offer this dish. It's of this world delicious! The Chianti, the desserts,the wait staff,the chefs I give them a thumbs up!

Mama Mia was this a great place to stumble into. From great food to amazing staff. I was wondering around late evening reading menus around surrounded restaurants. This one had my appetite wet. I wasn't sure what to decide on. I always ask the wait staff in these situations. He recommended the risotto. And so would I now! A mushroom risotto that I could have easily had a second plate of. So much so, I asked if he'd be willing to give me the recipe. I have one similar, but nothing that good. The waiter gave me plenty of helpful tips for around the Seattle area too, along with free dessert card for bringing back my wife. We will sure to be back when back in town.

We returned for a special occasion after several years and were happy we did. After arriving early for our reservation we waited in the bar. The bar service was fast and friendly. We were picked up by the hostess and seated at a corner window table. Our waiter was attentive, pleasant and helpful with selections. He was right there throughout the meal. Salads were split table side as we had ordered. Although we waited a tad long for our entrees, we were glad to see they still serve the fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic. Our food was hot and flavorful, just as we remembered from years past. And the layered creme brûlée was a great finish. We’ll be back for sure.

Honestly, I don't like to write reviews, because everyone has an off day once in a while. I was not impressed, by the ambiance, the food, or the service. We were a party of 4. The waiter was not only distracted, he was unprofessional in multiple ways. We were never asked if we wanted beverages. When the waiter asked if we were ready to order, we asked to order cocktails first. He never asked again if we wanted another cocktail or more wine. When we ordered salads the waiter suggested they were large and we should split them. So we did, if that is their suggestion shouldn't they split the salad on to 2 plates? Instead we got 4 empty plates, 2 salad plates and utensils to dish it ourselves on a table that was already full with bread, cocktails, water, wine and wine glasses that weren't going to be used. (or better yet, why not add a side salad for $6. to the menu rather than an $11.50 salad that is too big for a side salad and too small for a meal). Our entrees sat on a tray by the table while finished salad plates that had been empty for at least 10 minutes (maybe longer) had to be cleared in order to serve the entree. My food was warm, it was not hot. After a few things go bad, you start to notice every little thing after that, I could go on. Based on this experience, if I return it will not be by my choice.

Freshly made pasta, sauce was delicious, as was the pizza. Dessert was outstanding. We shared 2 different desserts among 4 people and it was just enough to satisfy. Had a 9 oz pour of red wine. A bit pricey but wine always is. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place for dinner and would return here

We LOVED Il Fornaio (downstairs dining room) so much we came 2 nights in a row! Our server Jeff provided amazing service and we were luck enough to have him for our server both nights! Highly recommend coming here! Order the salmon and ask for Jeff!

Very good food and the waiter was very friendly. The food was cooke thoroughly and had great flavoring. The gluten free pasta was different, but in a very good way.

Seriously everything from the uninspired bland soup to the overcooked salmon everything seemed out of sorts. The server avoided us like the plague and we had to put our dishes at the end of the table for.someone to notice we had dirty plates. If you don't order wine they will ignore you. We were going to order wine but they were quick to take all of our wine glasses away. The Cannolli shell was so hard we couldn't even get our fork through it and hurt to bite into it. This was very disappointing.

Great food, great service!! Don't listen to all the negative reviews. Always experience a place on your own, so glad we didn't listen to the reviews. We stayed up the street at the Hilton and arrived an hour before closing time. Usually when you get to a restaurant that late the wait staff are not happy, it was completely opposite with this place! We loved it!

The food deserves a 4+, but our waitress was a very sweet airhead. I asked for a gluten free menu. Thank you for having one. I ordered salad from the gluten free menu and it came with toasted bread on it (not GF). so they made me a new salad. I asked what shape pasta they used for GF. She told me "like macaroni but smaller" Macaroni is not a shape so i still had no idea what she meant (Im Italian). Then when I ordered dessert, she told me the Gelato and Sorbet were GF. So she brought me a dish of Sorbet with 2 cookies stuck in it (not GF). Had to send it back. I suggest you be more careful with customers with food allergies. Could have been a nightmare if I had to break out my Epipen.

I go downtown every year at Christmastime, with a group of 15+ people. Il Fornio has always been very accommodating. The wait staff has always kept up and been very helpful. (The bar service could be a little faster) I have the Butternut Squash pasta every year...and it never disappoints! Desserts are point on as well.

I have only positive things to say about my experience here. Service was great-welcoming and friendly with the right level of attentiveness-and the food was lovely. I tried the bruschetta, vegetable soup and grilled salmon and I enjoyed all immensely. I wish the restaurant and staff continued success. Thank you.

The food was amazing, and we had the best waitress we've ever had at any restaurant, ever! Ask to be seated in Jax's section (upstairs). She was knowledgeable and amazing. If I was a restaurant owner, I would have poached her on the spot. Our dinner was so delicious and definitely order desert. Such a great experience. Can't wait to go back.

Our first time here, and I was very impressed. We were seated quickly, and the wait staff was very attentive. My husband had the cannelloni, and I had the caprese calda. Though my husband thought the sauce on the cannelloni could have used more seasoning and was a bit bland, he otherwise enjoyed it. The caprese calda had the most scrumptious heirloom tomatoes! It was so good! The wine hubby ordered was great, and I really enjoyed the Tuscan Lemonade. All in all, a very enjoyable meal. We will be back.

One of our favorites. Yes, experience it and ignore the pouty people. Great food, great wine list, try Caesari Mara, fabulous deserts. Ask to sit in Christian's area - excellent waiter.
