Got off the plane headed to the hotel and in the middle of Seattle what does this Dallas born country boy see....... Texas BBQ?¿? Had to stop and put it to the test. Passed with flying colors. Had a table for 10 hungry travelers, and everyone was impressed. Brisket, ribs, chicken, chili, appetizers, you name it, they passed the test and exceeded expectations. Service, atmosphere, and overall vibe were. OUTSTANDING. THANKS, YALL.

Best BBQ I’ve had yet in the PNW! Great atmosphere, friendly staff—definitely worth the drive. Fun to get a pit tour as well!

My wife and I tried something new. We tried the prime rib dip. It was the best prime rib dip I have ever had, big portions and full of flavor.

I came out to Jack's BBQ in SODO in Seattle for some Texas Barbecue, which unlike St. Louis or Kansas City, relies on spice and smoke. For the uneducated, Texas BBQ is seasoned and placed in a smoker for something on the order of 12 hours. JACK'S BBQ is located in a most unseemly industrial spot in Seattle/SODO, adjacent to huge iron-made facilities, sprayed with graffiti, next door to razor-topped chain linked fences; with the only sounds being that of vehicles going.. somewhere else. A lone ornamental longhorn steer on the building's visage only really gives a clue as to what awaits inside. The veneer is an iron grey, except for a bright Texas flag painted onto the sidewall. Very Metal. Inside is wooden, very welcoming, attractive staff, built around a kitchen, channeling every bit of Tejas it can. My host, MICHAEL, was instrumental in my experience. A bearded Vet, he may be a bit too much for some, but I grew up around guys like this. A Shiner Bock off the tap (and don't pass it by if you haven't ever been to Texas) and I was turned to the food menu. I settled on the DOUBLE TROUBLE -- which the downloadable PDF menu describes as "Choice of any 2 meats and any 2 sides." I elected for brisket, sausage, mac and cheese, and their Trinity Chili. And it was almost great... ... until MICHAEL came to check on me, and he took sight of the portion of brisket I had been served. Noting it looked a bit dry, he took it upon himself to speak with the cooking staff and brought out a new, succulent, dripping moist piece at no extra charge. The difference was night and day. The second piece melted in my mouth like some kind of Venus goddess's... yeah. Potato salad was chilled, crunchy, and highly mustard tinged. Chilli was robust and comforting. The sausage was immaculate. I'd recommend getting 2 smoked, as I found the cheese loaded a bit too rich. Nothing a bit of sauce couldn't fix, but -- Texas BBQ should require no sauce. The tab (including tip) came to 46 bucks. And due to MICHAEL's diligence, it was worth it. Go get some.

Decided to try this BBQ spot on the way back from Seattle. This restaurant doesn't accept cash and I appreciate that a sign is posted before you walk in. It wasn't busy when we got in and we were seated quickly. I like the interior decorations and having the water already at the table. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered a few different items to try. Honestly my favorite dish was the frito pie and ribs with Jacks jalapeño bbq sauce. The brisket was tender and I liked the hot link sausage. The pulled pork had too much fat in it for my liking and I wasn't a fan of the queso Mac and cheese. There was great char on the ribs and brisket. I enjoyed the house made pickles. Overall a good experience.

I have wanted to try the BBQ at Jack's since I first drove by it on the way into Seattle. I had the brisket platter with the Texas caviar and collard greens for my sides. The brisket had a nice smoke ring and excellent flavor. Our server took us through to where the meat is smoked with Apple and Mesquite in the massive double chamber smokers.

Great smoke house diner. Tacos are very filling and delicious, I recommend the beef bacon! The nachos are amazing and huge. Decor is warm and inviting. Staff was friendly too. Large TV with sports on, bar, and kitchen. Excited to come back to try more of the menu.

Good food but depending on what you're getting, would recommend eating at the restaurant and not getting takeout. Trinity ranked: pork ribs, sausage, brisket—Ribs had smoky flavor and meaty texture, yum! Sausage was solid if that's your thing. Brisket was pretty good but was not as flavorful as the ribs, and part of what I got was kinda tough and bland. Greens were excellent, and the chili could be its own meal with how much meat was in it. The loaded fries were delicious. The cobbler was tasty, but I think it's probably only worth getting at the restaurant since the takeout portion is the same price but does not include the ice cream. Takeout was timely and well-packaged. I'd be interested to try the beef ribs and billionaire bacon to compare.

I didn't have a clue that bbq in Washington could compare with what I've had in Atlanta, but DAMN?! Jacks chili is the best I've had. Brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs were flawless - seasoned with only salt and pepper! Original sauce is 🔥! Only minor challenge is that most items have spice, so be prepared!

The brisket was super fall apart tender. We also thought every side dish was good, Texas caviar being our favorite. Great service and a nice laid back bar vibe. Overall a good place, but expect the tab to be on the pricier end.

Came to Seattle for work from Dallas and was missing good Texas brisket. Jack's bbq hit the spot. Good bark, nice smoke ring. Lean was a lil dry and fibrous but nothing I'm not used to getting when ordering lean brisket. The Cole slaw was decent and not overly juicy. Some pepper would have picked it up really nice. The corn pudding cobbler or whatever it was called, so freaking delicious. I was stuffed from the brisket but had to finish the corn cobbler. You just can't let something that delicious go to waste. I will be visiting here again, probably several times before I fly back to Texas.

Cool ambience. I’ve had hush puppies and they were just OK. My husband and his friend LOVED the brisket and even better was sausage (pork + beef) with jalapeño cheese. Corn bread and Banana pudding were just OK too. Definitely a place for meat lovers!

Love Jack's real deal BBQ. Been here many time and I love the brisket, and that they have their own parking lot. Had the spicy Cesar with brisket and a bruised cherry Manhattan. I thought the spice level was mercifully on the milder side. My friend had one with pulled pork and he thought it was a bit spicy but he's not as much of a spice lord as I am. My friends Uncle had the Cobb salad and it looked amazing. Will definitely be trying that next time. Like a nice whiskey drink with beef and the bruised cherry Manhattan hits the spot for me. It's a sweeter version of a Manhattan. Which is how I make mine at home and I may steal their use of cherry liquor instead of the cherry syrup I use at home (1/2 tsp) if anyone wants try it. It a little pricier but high quality ingredients and large portions. I usually end up with enough leftovers for a second take home meal. Service was good to.

Where to begin because this is exceptional BBQ food. I haven't had this of good BBQ in a long time was about three years ago because there hasn't been a BBQ joint worth eating at. Last time I had the best was in Texas but then that is states away. Way better then Dave's BBQ which I wouldn't recommend, Dickey's BBQ or even Warthog BBQ. Jack's BBQ -SoDo they know what they are doing. Beef Brisket was super tender feels like it melts in your mouth the juices from it shows how tender it was. Ribes smoked to perfection. The hush puppies were good but the meat was the highlight. Best BBQ highly would recommend eating here. I definitely would come back to eat some fantastic BBQ. Super amazing customer service checked in I would say at good points throughout my dining experience. I am curious their Dr. Pepper was different taste then what I had expected in an odd but great way. Definitely can be loud with the other dinners but it's a BBQ restaurant so nothing much that could change.

This review is specifically for their catering service. We had them service our wedding in summer 2022. They were EXCELLENT. We got rave reviews for the food. A family member who has worked with many caterers was incredibly impressed by the professionalism of the Jack's BBQ staff. They went above and beyond in their work to help make our wedding special. The events team was very communicative and they were pretty flexible on changes and such that needed to be made (within the contract). We plan to eat at Jack's for our anniversaries when we can and definitely recommend them for catering!

Great to find some good BBQ here. The dining room was clean and spacious, if a little echo-y. The staff was friendly and quick. The only downside really was there seems to be a good amount more saying capacity than parking.

The superior Jack's BBQ experience. I live closer to the the SLU location but the SoDo location feels like a more authentic BBQ spot. Same delicious food and drinks, great service and ample parking. A must visit if you love BBQ!
