This hidden gem is a definite go-to. i had the best pork chop I’ve ever had and my wife had the special burger with goat cheese and mushrooms which was so incredibly flavorful. to top it off the service was impeccable from the moment we walked through the door. a very memorable experience that we will never forget:-)

We were surprised by how beautiful the restaurant is at nighttime, we were promptly welcomed and since our “igloo” wasn’t ready yet- we were offered complimentary glasses of rosé immediately. The igloo is in a hidden patio with views of the sound, and during an atmospheric river the pitter patter of the rain while sitting in a heater warmed igloo lit by quirky neon signs and decorated butterflies was perfect to lift mid week blues. The incessant pouring rain did not slow down service and our server braved the rain to check in on us multiple times. The food was phenomenal- the onion soup perfectly balanced and not very salty as it is in most places. The tuna in the niçoise salad is perfectly grilled, the escargot buttery and delectable. It was one of the most romantic meals we’ve had in seattle with perfect ambience, great food and an unhurried pace. I cannot recommend a more romantic date night than this gem of a french restaurant!

Went for a Friendsgiving dinner and opted for the igloo seating experience. It provides a great view of the bay and the Seattle eye with sunset in the background. Their drinks are great - across cocktails, mocktails and also warm cocktails on request. What did we order? Hors d’oeuvre - charcuterie board and the fried Brie. Recommend the charcuterie board. The half baguette that comes with the board is enough to share Le plat - Duck confit, Halibut and the scallops. Liked all, must order the scallops. Duck was surprisingly not gamey. Please note that the helpings are generous and could be shared. They would also prepare a vegetarian main if requested. Sweet tooth - crème brûlée and the flourless chocolate cake. The brûlée was sweeter than I hoped it to be and could have benefited from a harder cover but the cake was great and very low on sugar.

The BEST authentic French food outside of France. I went here for a birthday dinner, and the food did not disappoint. I had the pork, and it literally melted in my mouth and was served on a bed of DELICIOUS mashed potatoes. The staff was also super knowledgeable about the food, ingredients, and the proper way to eat it (I had the escargot for an appetizer and had no idea how to eat it, but our waitress explained the best way to eat the delicacy). The Basque-style burnt cheesecake was exceptional and not too sweet and was a perfect ending to the three-course meal. The prices were reasonable prices too, especially with the quality (and amount) of the food. The views were amazing, especially at sunset when the ferris wheel lit up. I cannot wait to go back!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Our server was great. She elevated the whole dining experience. We had a table outside. It was a lovely view and very charming. The earl grey mocktail was delicious. The steak was cooked well and I cannot fault the scallops.

The view is just amazing, and the ambience is classy, but still preserves historic Seattle charm. Booked dinner here for the first time before an evening event at SAM, and immediately noticed that the service is really top-notch. The food was delicious--everything was cooked perfectly, from scallops and pork to toothsome veggies. Front and back of the house know what they're doing here, and it absolutely shows. Really lovely experience across the board.

We were lucky enough to get a table outside on a beautiful day. This came with its positives (the view) and the negatives (mice in the garden). We started with the Foie Gras which was buttery soft and topped with good balsamic. We also got the seafood tower option. Some of the muscles and clams were still closed, which is usually not a good sign. My recommendation would be to stick with some of their full entrees.

Came here for my wife’s birthday. Had to reserve weeks before since it was a quite popular place with a great view. We ordered a steak frites and mussels with foie gras as an appetizer. The mussels were pretty good and fresh. My steak was way over cooked and the fries weren’t the typical skinny fries you would expect from a good French restaurant. Besides the subpar food, this place charges 5% service fee regardless the size of your party. I am not sure what it is for really. 🤔 I generally dislike restaurants which make decision for me when it comes to tipping so it is safe to say I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Very nice restaurant hidden away in the buzz of Pike Market apart from the food and service which were excellent that have an outdoor terrace it what used to be (well part still there) the hidden garden with a spectacular view Must go!!

One of my favorites let me down. The view was stellar, of course. However, the food was rushed and undercooked. Once it arrived, we didn't see our server again. Coffee warm up? No. At that price point, it was not good.

Fantastic view of the sound and a lovely romantic atmosphere. Food and service was excellent. The salads are almost family style in size so good to share. The escargot and mussels were both divine. My husband and loved it. I would recommend anyone to dine there. I would suggest during daylight to take in the beautiful view!!!

This place is a nostalgic favorite. They deliver and they offer one of the best views of Elliott Bay. Classic Seattle and classic French cuisine. Je l’aime beaucoup.

I’ve been eating here every chance I get when passing through Seattle. I have never been disappointed. I will say I understand the the extra service charge but it’s a flagrant in your face thing . Perhaps posting a notice on their menus and website that’s big enough to see would give patrons a chance to decide whether to dine or not. Or the host could graciously advise guests as they are seating them. I think we’re all tired of being treated like we don’t matter as potential return guests. I have probably eaten at this restaurant at least 50 times and I don’t even live in the state. I want Americans to earn a decent living so it’s gotta from somewhere. Exemplary, professional, kind service could mitigate agitation when the bill arrives.

Been there multiple times but it is getting worse and worse until yesterday. We always celebrate Bastille Day there but yesterday was bad. 1) We just arrived and had a wait a good 20 Minutes before someone finally took our reservation. 2) Had a also wait a good while before our waiter finally came. 3) Menu overprice for the taste 4) Never received our wine. Sad because it was a place I liked but they need to make a good change.

Yesterday's visit makes it perhaps my fourth or fifth visit to this establishment and we are never disappointed in any aspect of this experience ~ always outstanding food and service, not to mention the view! Always a special treat when I get to dine at Maximilien!

Bartender was awesome and friendly. Drinks are good! Didn't have any food but could tell everyone was enjoying their meal and it smelt amazing! Nice view of the Farris wheel and water! Will definitely be going back!

I haven't been here for years but I have to say I was really underwhelmed by the server. He was very nice but seemed really unsure of his job and having been a server myself it's not rocket science to anticipate people's needs. My drink was not how I ordered it but I just let that go he did not remove things from the table when they clearly needed to be, did not know the daily cocktail, had to ask about everything that he wasn't sure about on the menu. We ordered two appetizers which I thought were pretty nominal the greens were wilted ( and not because they were supposed to be )and the soup was terrifically salty . The host seemed annoyed to even speak to me. For the price, and the new added "service charge", I'll stick with Place Pigalle.

My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday for our anniversary. It was my first time at a French restaurant and it was amazing. From the view of the water with the sunset to the service it was an incredible way to enjoy each other. The food and drinks topped off a great night in Seattle. We will be back.
