Awesome was there last summer of 17 with my brother got the fried seafood combo. Shrimp, scallops, and clams were unbelievable. Everything was great, fresh, and delicious. Atmosphere was good, we went on a Wednesday night in the place was mobbed so we sat out back on the new patio and it was awesome. The place has really changed for the better. Probably one of the best places on the island. I will be back.
Went here for the first time today and will be back again soon. Our service was great(thanks Nikki) and food was terrific(we had the crab cake sandwiches). Nice beer selection as well. Highly recommend.
Love the food and the service staff was friendly. Love the wide variety of IPA beers to choose from. Also large portions of food had the fried diablo appetizer had the crab dip amazing!
I think their food and service is excellent. We go out of our way to go there as often as we can. Love the outdoor patio in the summer. Great place to stop at after a long hard day at the beach! LOL.
This place is the best! My wife and I go as often as we can when we hit the beach. Great happy hour food and drink specials.
We like going Saturday afternoons. Always sit at the bar, everything we've ordered has been great and the bartenders are entertaining. Highly recommend.
Good times and good food. I drive a hour to hang out at bum rodger and I’m sure the miller lite taste the same at the local bar from my house. But it’s just a good drive and a good time.
Bum Rodgers is an amazing spot in Seaside Park, NJ! Great food, great bands, great atmosphere! We always have a fun memorable time!

Great to have the dog patio! Great service, but for 2 people for $200 it was just worth 4 stars. Clams were nice and meaty, salad was good but they were out of all cheeses, meals were good but the 'famous' garlic crabs were just ok. I ended up getting an Old Bay shaker and drawn butter which made them better. Granted you did get quite a lot! Boiled platter was very good but $18 for the tiny lobster tail was not worth it.
So happy we spent our last dinner in seaside at Bum Roger’s! The live music was great and the bar was filled with listeners. We decided to play it safe and go for the snow crab legs, but they had options for local crabs and Dungeness as well. We tried to order the famous lobster bisque, but our server forgot to put in our order. By the time we mentioned it our mains came out. Thankfully she was nice enough to bring one out on the house because she overheard us talking about how much we wanted to try it. Honestly if I had to choose between the crab dip or the bisque, I would go with the crab dip. It was cheesy and filled with crab. Overall, the vibes, the service and the food was great. Excited to come back next summer.
We ate here the 1st night in this area. The waitress was great. The drinks were okay. The food was good. There was a live band. The only thing was happy hour specials were only for the ones with indoor seating. The prices were reasonable.
We went to have lunch with the dog 🐩. 1- they allow dogs outside in the patio area 2- they have dog menu ( chicken or beef steak and on the side veggies or rice or carrots. Portions small medium and large. We take small for 7 dollars and it was really big :: ) 3- be prepared to show vaccination proof for the dog (nobody asked but it was mentioned in the rules about the dogs) 4- our waitress was very organized, nice and attentive 5- food was fresh 6- we like atmosphere there 7- if you have dog they would bring water with the ice 🧊 we liked our experience and I would highly recommend this place !!!!!!!!!
Our second time visiting and we LOVED it!! The crabs are da bomb!!! Must've been served about 8 or 9 crabs and had to take three home as leftovers! Clams on the half shell were fresh and tasty! Seafood fra diavolo was giant and with just the right amount of spice! Serving portions were huge and food was delicious! We ate at the outside tables and our waiter was excellent!! Hopping bar scene for those looking to enjoy drinks with friends! Can't wait to go back next time we're down the shore! Thanks for a great meal! 😋
Came in and the waitress was so sweet. Quick service. Gave me a heart-shaped straw and ive never had a better experience. My waitress was Ana, please give her a thanks from me! Food was fantastic, calamari and crab cakes were delicious. Singer on stage did a great job. Overall had a great night!
Francesca is the best bartender I have ever seen . I will definitely be coming here more often and making this probably my permanent hang out. Christina was also fantastic.
SO good! Somehow it was our first time here, even though we live locally! My husband chose it for his birthday dinner and we were not disappointed! We were a party of 10, and our server, Mary, was awesome! Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back soon. 🤤
Our family of 8 from three generations enjoyed dinner here on Tuesday night. The service was great, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Noteworthy menu items were the Garlic Crabs, Shrimp Creole and especially the Jersey Shore Thing, which my grandson said was GREAT.
I LOVE this place! I used to be a resident in seaside and fell in love with the entire island of seaside and Bum Rogers will always be on the top of my list for my favorite's on the island. I have been going there for 2 years and now drive an hour to dine there. I have tried quite a few things on their menus and assure you no matter what you order....you will never be disappointed ! The best scallops ala vodka you will ever have for sure!

Lobster bisque - a little too creamy but very flavourful and had chunks of lobster in there.
Crab cake - lots of crab and not dry. Served with a mildly spicy remoulade. Was a little too greasy.
Connecticut Lobster Roll - first time having this but the fried lobster and roll wasn’t to our liking.
Jersey shore thing - incredibly fresh lobster and shrimp. The garlic crabs didn’t taste the freshest but the dish was really good altogether!
Haven't Been there in years, but The service and atmosphere I remember being the same. Our waitress Ashley was amazing and did well With our group humor And all! The food was very good, the Only complaint was The size of the clams in the clam strip platter. Overall would go again and Recommend. If you have dinner Reservations make sure you Leave early as parking is a bit hard.
Parking is rough, especially during the summer months. Great options for dining both inside and out. The patio is a nice casual atmosphere. Food is above average, and there are choices for even the finicky eater. Price range runs the spectrum, you don't have to break the bank for quality seafood. If you want to splurge, I recommend the Filet w/ garlic crab meat topping.
Very casual restaurant and bar. Prices were good and the food was good. If you are a beer drinker, they have a large selection of beers. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Great place for everyone
Excellent Seafood Restaurant. Nice beer selection. Sever Danielle was terriffic. Menu, with choices for everyone. Baltimore style crabs were delicious as was the Ahi Tuna, appetizer. Nice dessert selection. They make a great cup of coffee. Off season, plenty of parking. Went for Lunch. Only downside is they charge an extra fee for use of credit card, real turnoff.
Went here on an idle Tuesday night and the food was great, serving staff friendly, and the owner even pitched in to help behind the bar for a while. Had the stuffed shrimp and it was two huge skewers of shrimp The trio band was great and not too loud. Would go back again!
