Everything was top notch and delicious. One minor "ding" was the steamers app was not served with clam Broth so we couldn't get rid of the sand/grit. If the dipping sauce wasn't so wonderful, I would have sent it back.

Excellent in all respects! We came here for our anniversary last Sunday and they honored our reservations right on time, although crowded the service was very good and the food delicious! The hostess was even cleaning and setting tables which helped move things along and all the staff were attentive
Went there for my boyfriends birthday with family with reservations and everythingwent smoothly. I started with a costal mojito and it was delicious. As appetizers the group had calamari, and muscles with white wine sauce with decent portions of both. I like the fried banana peppers in the calamari!

Only downside is that it is very pricey for the amount of food you get, and very, very pricey for drinks. Love this restaurant! The lobster special is out of this world! And the watermelon salad is delicious! My only suggestion is for the baked clams oreganoto- needs more Italian flavor- garlic, oil, & parsley!

At first we couldn't find it, but if you take Seamans neck road south off of Merrick road, go to the end, we are so happy we did! Great, friendly atmosphere, awesome service, and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the grilled Branzino fillet, cooked to perfection...

Located right on the water, Anchor Down is a great choice for Sunday brunch or dinner. The menu has a variety of choices including steamed mussels, fried clams or raw oysters. The main course offering includes a whole branzino, crab cakes, fisherman's platter and salmon.

Nice on the water choice. Came there with a big group and waitress was accommodating/friendly. Some solid good menu selections, fun drinks. Overall a winner on the water.
