Review Harper's Catfish - Scottsville

We love Harper's Catfish so much. We use to live in KY and we would eat there a lot. My family and I have taken a road trip from the Carolina's just to eat here. Great food and people. They make you feel like family. We miss you ALL sooo much!

Best catfish I ever had. Light batter and hush puppies are good. Very cheaply prices thru the whole menu, but bring CASH no cards accepted

Harpers is so great! Like drive across the state great! Me and my friends always make a trip out. It’s not that much to look at. And you may think you’re lost a few times trying to get there, BUT it is SO WORTH IT! The people are nice and you can’t get catfish this tasty anywhere else! They just have their own way of doing things and it works. The unlimited catfish is worth it, but they bring so much I never finish the first plate. It’s a great experience and you should definitely take a trip to visit.

Harper’s is one of those local famous spots in Kentucky that everyone in the area knows about. It’s not fancy, it’s just flat out delicious catfish that’s not greasy whatsoever. The lightly breaded fish is cooked to perfection, homemade coleslaw is creamy with a kick of pepper and baked potato’s are a must in my opinion. Cash or check only (yes, check believe it or not). Come prepared to eat and don’t wear skinny jeans.

A rather crowded place on busy evenings. In laws dont dine there. They think its shabby, but we dine there, food is good and not all fried up to a pulp. For you first timers, remember they only take cash, no credit or debit at all. They have a small salad bar for dining in. We take out mostly and never have to wait long for orders and when dining in service is good as well. All you care to eat catfish is available.

Quick service for a large party. Tables were a little close to other guests even without covid. However, our waitress was attentive. Our food was very quick, fresh, and correct. It had been years since I had visited, but it was as good as I remembered.

Will be going back. The Southern hospitality and awesome prices were amazing. The food was scrumptious. We had the seafood sampler and ribeye dinner both worth having again. Bring cash or check no cards here. Worth it completely!

Good food! Good folks. Been coming to Harper's since I was a kid. I think of my Dad each time. Bad day? "Let's go to Harper's " Need to celebrate? "Let's go to Harper's " Just want to visit with one another? "Let's go to Harper's!"
