Family owned restaurant with the best smoked flavored meats and MacNCheese EVER!! My husband loved the fried okra and even sang with the talented owners, Joe & Vajra.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The owner and his wife were very kind to us, and the food was absolutely top notch. We were treated to a couple of jazz tunes the owner played on the keys, and he invited us to play a little as well (we are both musicians).

Smoked Bratwurst Bites, BBKing Sandwich, and the Sliders, oh yes, very good. On Thursday, there's a group of gentlemen who play music; one plays the harmonicas, and I do mean harmonicas. When I go back to Arizona for business and I'm in that area, definitely going back.
What an experience! The food was fantastic!!! Highly recommend the brisket and the pulled pork mac and cheese. Joe, the owner, always takes the time to play some jazz on the piano. Highly recommend!!!

I had the brisket salad and a side of cornbread. It was delicious! An added treat was when the chef (I’m guessing the owner) came out and played some blues on the guitar. He even played the piano. I will definitely return here the next time I’m in town!
My date and I enjoyed our dinner and a Suns game with owners Joseph and Vajira! This power couple traveled from Globe AZ to open this delicious hole-in-the-wall BBQ spot. Tasty food that’s cooked to perfection, served with love and passion. The husband and wife dual of Joe’s Barbecue Shack are destined for multiple locations.. Great food and music.
Lunch, greeted promptly, drink order immediately taken and delivered, food came in short order, was hot, delicious and just the right portions. The owner thanked us for coming by. Definitely will return if the area.
Came in towards closing and the staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Above and beyond fantastic!! Will definitely go there again soon!!

Arizona BBQ is nothing like Texas BBQ. However, this restaurant was pretty decent to its competitors in the Arizona state. The small restaurant even had some live music that was great. Additionally ,the staff was friendly and helpful and recommended a few options to try.
Okay, so I thought the BBQ was great for a little shop. My wife said she has had better in Texas. I have learned not to argue. This is way closer than Texas. Super friendly staff. I enjoyed the food; burnt ends (Google it) the Saturday special!
