Review Lo-lo's Chicken And Waffles - Scottsdale

Tender Mccoy-Pyburn
I think their chicken is SO good! I love their waffles, mac & cheese, whipped potatoes, sweet tea and lemonade! I've only been there twice so I haven't had the chance to try other menu selections yet but I think they'll be good too. Their food can be really filling. I was full for hours so I ended up not eating dinner! I ordered a larger meal so that I could take some home and have it later, lol! They get really busy sometimes. I had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table last time I was there. We had to circle around their parking lot a few times because there were no spots available. We had to wait for someone to leave to be able to get a parking spot. When it's busy it's hard to get the waiter to your table but from what I could tell they were working hard. They had Sports playing on several TVs. They have a full bar. The decorations are really cool. There was a DJ. I personally liked the music mixes. I definitely recommend going there!

Wow! This was my 1st time here, and let me tell you what, that chicken and waffles was so good! Our server was friendly and outgoing. The sweet tea was also tasty. Thank you for having me today. We'll definitely be back!

There was a 30-minute wait to be seated, but the food was worth it! The service was phenomenal. We received our food fast and it was fresh. The cook and seasoning of the chicken were perfect, the waffle was fluffy, and the hot sauce was delicious! This was my first visit and I will be back

For a Sunday morning breakfast spot, this place was a vibe! Nice music, great service, great atmosphere, and amazing food!!!! Ordered the chicken gizzard and it took me back to my younger days ordering chicken gizzards from the chinese spot. Lil crisp on the outside, full of flavor, and tender in the inside. Also got the two pc beast wing and extra thigh with waffle. Damnnn!!!! Chicken was crispy full of flavor and the waffle was full of flavor as well. Only thing I would like to see is the waffle a little more fluffy. Overall great experience and service!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lolo's Chicken and Waffles, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. This restaurant not only offers delicious soul food but also provides a fun and lively atmosphere that is perfect for a night out with friends or family. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the upbeat tunes of a DJ spinning some great music. The lively ambiance instantly put me in a good mood and set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The staff at Lolo's were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every customer felt welcome and well taken care of. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh boy, where do I even begin? The smothered chicken was absolutely divine. The chicken was tender and juicy, smothered in a rich and flavorful gravy that had me licking my lips with every bite. Paired with a side of mac and cheese, it was a match made in heaven. The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and had just the right amount of seasoning to make it truly irresistible. But the star of the show, of course, was the chicken and waffle dish. The crispy, golden waffle served as the perfect base for the succulent fried chicken. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was simply mouthwatering. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and had a satisfying crunch with each bite. It was a delightful twist on a classic dish that left me wanting more. Overall, my experience at Lolo's Chicken and Waffles was nothing short of amazing. The combination of great soul food, a fun atmosphere with a DJ, and a friendly staff made it a memorable dining experience. Whether you're craving some comfort food or looking for a lively spot to enjoy a meal, Lolo's is the place to be. I highly recommend trying their smothered chicken, mac and cheese, and, of course, their famous chicken and waffle dish. You won't be disappointed!

The food was on point. The catfish, collards, and cheese grits were the perfect combination. The portions were plentiful. The staff was friendly and kind, but they were understaffed.

The atmosphere was lively, service was excellent for an appetizer I had the gizzards, they were tender would have preferred them a little crisper but good. For my entree I had the plater with fish, chicken, candied yams and Mac and cheese and cornbread muffin with strawberry lemonade seasoned and flavored throughout.

If you are looking for a delicious southern style breakfast, this is the place for it! Oh, not to mention service with a smile! Food was seasoned to perfection and served hot!

For a first timer. I would say this is a go Must go to spot. Great atmosphere, music was a plus. Great play list. Service was great, specially for a party of 7. Not the mention the food was on point. Thought granny was back there.

Nice laid back urban bar vibes, with hip-hop/R&B music working as white noise. Having chicken & waffles in your name gave me no reason to order anything else. They didn't miss with taste. So good we returned the following day. Sonia was our waitress one day and Adam the other.

The hot honey wings were the bomb! Wings were fried to crispy perfection. Friendly service too. Dirty rice (with gizzard) was ok.

OOH! Lo-Lo's is the real deal! Best chicken and waffles I've had. Sweet potatoes were tender and glazed just right. The crazy fries were so good, but they're built for about 3 people. When I get back to PHX, I'mma get back to Lo-Lo's.

Went on a Sunday and there was about an hour wait. The food was really good and worth the wait! I loved the sweet tea too. Being from the south, I was impressed!
HopeLoveCare Everyday
The food was great!!! The chicken was seasoned just right, nice and crispy, and there was plenty of meat on those bones. The atmosphere was welcoming. Our waitress was MIA, but the other staff was happy to help. We ended up getting our drinks about 10 minutes after our food arrived. I did "dig" in the other plate, too. The yams, greens, catfish, mac and cheese....all fire!!!

If you come to AZ. You gotta try the famous Lo-Lo's Chicken waffles. To be honest it brings me back to childhood memories back to the Midwest. Southern cooking hits the spot every time. Let's just kickstart like this... you haven't had good fried chicken until you eat at Lo-Lo's... the combination of waffles and chicken is mouthwatering. Peaceful heavenly food for the soul. Must try... what are you waiting for? Note: don't forget the Kool-Aid is on tap freaking awesome and refreshing. Just amazing 😊

Such a great southern feeling find! We are from Atlanta and this place felt like home! Great energy, food and experience! Waffles are amazing!

One of the top soul food places in all of greater phoenix. I always get the Famous Soulfood Platter when I come here, and it always hits the spot. A large portion of your choice of fried chicken, catfish, or others with 2 sides and some cornbread. I always leave wanting more. Things here are a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

I first ate at the original Lolo's in the old small building. I am grateful that as Lolo's has expanded it has not lost the taste and quality. I also love the ambiance added by the live DJ. I'll be back!!!

Juicy chicken

The go to at this place should always been the #8, a chicken breast and waffle. The chicken breast is juicy and moist throughout. The skin on the chicken is spiced right. Get a lemonade for your drink, but realize it’s sweet and full of sugar

Typically a busy place and that's a good indication the food is worth the visit. The fried chicken is fabulously prepared, the portions are generous and the wait staff are very welcoming, even for obvious tourists.

They have some adventurous dishes worth trying, fried chicken gizzards (excellent) and beautifully done catfish. Go ahead - try them - you are not likely to be disappointed.
Yes. We,re Eating Again.
Touristing around in Scottsdale made us very hungry and I have to tell you that I couldn't have been more excited as the plan was to go to Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles! I have been wanting to go to this place ever since I first visited Phoenix a few years ago but it just never worked out. Now here we are! There are 5 locations of Lo-Lo's and I don't know about the others but this one is modern and comfortable. The sound track was hip even if it was a little loud and the servers were friendly and seemed to be willing to help each other out (as well as us). The waffles here are spectacular! They are on the thin side so more crispy and less doughy with a nice hint of cinnamon making them the perfect vehicle for syrup...and chicken. And really good fried chicken too! Crunchy with a moist interior. We ate a lot of it! We ate it with Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese and Corn Muffins. Marie and I were smart enough to share an entree this time which made it just right. I loved the greens. They had just a hint of al dente (I now its a pasta term) and were not too soft. And the mac and cheese was very rich and creamy! We ate it smothered with Rice and Gravy and Potato Salad. And we ate it as fingers with Rice and Gravy and Fries. For the record, there were 6 of us having this late lunch. And the menu here offers a lot of choices. Obviously, we did not get to the catfish, red fish, biscuits, grits or desserts. Let's just say the food is rich and delicious and the atmosphere welcoming!

Omg. This place was so good!! I got the chicken and waffles and the fried chicken was so good and flavourful. I tried the Mac and cheese on my husbands plate and it was delicious. I will be coming back for sure.

Had breakfast on Sunday morning. Things did not start off well when we tried to go in one set of doors in the main entrance and they appeared to be locked. As it turned out they were not locked but we're very difficult to open. I noticed numerous others experiencing the same problem. Upon entry the noise level was very high. Strange as there were only a few tables taken. Apparently the management must think real loud music is perfect for the Sunday morning breakfast crowd. We ordered the special with two eggs, bacon, toast and grits. The grits were barely warm and included a HUGH scoop of butter on top that really seemed out of place. The food was ok aside from the butter. The waitress was very good but really couldn't make up for the other issues. Hate to be so negative but whoever the manager was on Sunday morning needs get a clue. 🙁

Dealing with the staff is NOT worth the food.

This used to be my favorite place a few years ago, but after the long waits when dining in I decided to only get carry out. Love their red velvet cake and ordered one 24 hours in advance for my birthday. We came it pick it up 20 mins after they were supposed to have it ready, to find out the bakers never got the order. Was told it would be ready in 5 mins by one staff member, so we waited 10. Only then to be told by the actual baker that it would take at least an hour. He was apologetic and said since we couldn't pick up the cake until after my party (since I wasn't going to leave my own birthday party to come back a second time) was told there would be no charge. So one of my guests picked up a second cake at another bakery just so I would have one.

When I came back to Lolo's, the cake was ready, and I asked if the $90 I already paid for it when I placed the order the day before was credited as I was told earlier in the day that it would be. After waiting 12 minutes for the manager to check on it, I was told I was wrong, no one told me it would be free, and they'll only credit me $20. After explaining my situation, and that the cake we had to buy to replace the one they didn't have ready in time was almost $50, that I would be fine if they credited me that amount instead of the whole $90. By the time the manager was done arguing with me, I was furious. And after we finally agreed on a 50% discount for dealing with all of their mistakes and misinformation, he even shorted me $5 when he credited back my card!

All in all I spent almost an hour in two separate visits on my birthday and ended up having to argue with a senior staff member just to pick up a cake I had ordered a whole day in advance while getting less than half the credit I was promised.

And the cake wasn't even as good as I remembered!!!!

Total fail, will avoid like the plague and tell everyone I ever hear mention Lolo's name that there are much, MUCH better soul food restaurants in town where you don't walk out of there feeling like you want to punch everyone who works there.

Fried chicken good.. Very enjoyable. Great food. Crazy good chicken. The chicken legs are insanely huge. Just get one to be amazed. Drinks were great too. Service was outstanding. Parking can be hard with the hotel next door, but there is valet service.

Horrible customer Service/Managment!!. I first called Lolo's to place an order for pick for my lunch. When I called they told me that they were extremely busy and not taking phone orders at this time. I enquired as to how long the wait was if I came down and place my order. I was told 10-15mins. I traveled from south east phoenix to central and Buckeye road location. When i arrived I had to tables ahead of me. I explained that I would like to place a to go order. The hostess proceeded with the customer ahead of me- which was not an issue. After waiting about 15 mins and 5 customers later i asked the hostess when someone would be able to take my order as I was on lunch, she told me that she had to find someone to take my order. I waited another 10 mins, So now I was 45min into my 1 hour lunch and not even an order placed. Needless to say. I left hungry and upset(don’t play with my food). They didn’t even notice. I called and place a complaint with the manager Mills. I explained everything to him and he gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him and he would make sure I was taken care of and that my next order would be on the house. About 2-3 week later I called and tried to place an order. When I spoke to Mills he made several bad management decision 1. He didn't handle my order personally he told me to call the main number and place an order. When I called the told me that they are only taking payment over the phone for call in orders, I explained to them that Mills told me to call and he would be taking care of my order, they said they had to verify this. 2.Mills then got on the phone and began to question me like I had made the whole thing up. Stating did He tell me that he would take care of my order? Or are those my words? I explained the initial situation and 3. he said he remembers me but doesn’t remember stating the order would be on the house. He seemed hesitant and said well what would you like to order? I replied nothing and hung up. HORRIBLE customer service. I only wanted a Tre-Tre which was $7 (and nothing for me to pay). What a way to lose a customer. I was not out to get over or just cop a free meal. I wanted to know I was valued as a customer, and repayment for my time and gas I spent driving half way across town the last time I visited their establishment. I know that my order would not break LoLo's but their horrible customer service will. Because if this is how the do business I know there will be other customers who will not be returning to LoLo's. My co-workers wouldn’t even order form there because of their previous bad experience with Lolo's and now I won't be returning either.

Diabetes, but worth it.. I drank the Kool Aid and my eyes popped out of my head, same with the Tea. I watered down my second and third drinks - it was still good.

Chicken and Waffles are good, Velvet cake was dry and average.

This place gets hot and steamy in the summer - it is always crowded - parking is a pain.

Order to go on hot days, service and price were just right.

Food Coma. I love this place, I have been here in Az for work since Sept and I go almst every Friday to Lo Lo's .. I love it .. the food is great and the service is better, from the chicken to the light and buttery waffles.. even the sides are great tasting. I have read some of the negative stuff that others have said and I really cant believe it.. I would have to see it to believe it. Also I have learned that some of these people that complain about stuff .. complain about everything and they are never satified. dont go there.. they wont miss your buisness.

The best chicken!. Love Lo Lo's! Always great service and terrific food. He loves their gizzards. We avoid normal dinner times because of the wait and either go early or late. We've lived here less than a year, and didn't find Lo Lo's until about 6 months ago. We don't eat out a lot, but we keep coming back here!

Shizit. All these peckwoods on here talkin up LoLo's. Don't know a thing bout yardbird. LoLo's needs to GoGo's.. Cane's all the way..

After waiting 40 minutes for our food watching parties larger than us who satsat after us EATINGEATING there food I kindly went up and asked for the manager and tried to explain what happened, not to mention we didn't get our drinks until 25 minutes later... she cut me off and did not want to hear it. when she finally brought the food out she argued with me and said it only took 30 minutes. I told her we have been waiting over 45 minutes at the table, she interrupted me again and told me to eat my food before got cold and would talk to me later and walked away. I waited another 15 minutes to talk to her because for the first time in my life I was not going to pay gratuity. the chicken was dry and the waffles were cold. I refused to pay the gratuity to my server and paid that hostess instead. so that female manager when call the police and made a huge scene outside. I waited for the police to arrive and told him what happened. she basically call the police on me because I did not leave my crappy server a tip...the server who never came to the table. the police could not believe that she called in because I did not leave a tip and they let us go... not to mention I have my three children under the age of 10. she then yelled at me to never come back to work w it again and that she was the owner... ya I will never go back.

Excellent. Outstanding service. Great food. A must visit when you are in town!!!!!!!!!!

Waste of time never received our food. Wish i could tell you about the food, but they never brought us our dinner. We sat there for an hour, a family that came in at the same time had received there food and were almost done eating. The Family next to us and the people at the bar all arrived 15 minutes after us had also received there food and almost done eating. At the end of the hour they tried to bring my wives food, but it was not the correct order so we had to send it back. Which is also is not very good service when you bring 1 person there food and not the other. The staff did not even seem to care, still charged us $6.50 for 2 fountain drinks. When talking to them they did not even look at us when responding to our lack of service.

This place truly was horrible I don't know what these other people are talking about because the employees there were absolutely terribly and nasty they treat people horribly I don't know how this place even stays open with that kind of customer service go somewhere else where you will be treated kindly and like a customer

Not what we expected. After hearing of the big buzz with Lo Lo's Chicken & Waffles we finally decided to try it out. There was quite the wait for a place with decent seating space - would say about 15-20 minutes. We got a seat at the bar. People were friendly, high energy, but the music was awful.

Can't say much for the chicken either - I had a chicken breast that was not tender and lacked flavor. Also tried the fried cat fish - again not impressed. Over priced. Sides are nothing but cafeteria quality. Menu is lacking variety. Waffle batter however was quite delicious. I recommend going there only for the waffles - which probably isn't worth the wait.

In other words - Glad I got it out of my system and will never go back.

Service was amazing my drink was never empty. The food came out hot, fresh and tasty. This place rocks, we will be back!!!!

If you like Southern Fried Chicken and you like Golden Waffles, you'll Love Lo Lo's. I was a skeptic, now I'm a believer, even bought the T-Shirt. Great staff, friendly and willing to help.
David Fiet
Fried chicken is only ok, over cooked actually. Waffles are nothing special. Tums required after meal. Worst of all no jalapeño to go with fried chicken! Will not be returning, can't figure out all the hype for this place.

Big bird and waffles to boot

LOOOOVE IT. So good...we went there to try the new cool food thing...chicken and waffles...and it was amazing...so good... the chicken was fried to perfection and the waffles probably the best I have ever had. Its GREAT!!!

Love the Food...Returning Customer. I have been a loyal customer of Lolos for a while now. I LOVE their waffles, even though I typically never eat waffles. The chicken is good, especially the Honey Hots...my favorite. I would agree with comments that I feel rushed once I receive my food to pay and get out. I typically have to wait close to 40 minutes and then once I order, the check is tab is brought immediately to the table. I would like to get 1/2 way through the meal first and decide if I want some of their awesome banana pudding before being reminded to pay the tab. I was also disappointed too because the last time I was there, the Owner informed me to call ahead any time I was coming to put my name on the list so my wait time would be lessened and when I did so, the lady on the phone would not do so. She stated, "We NEVER take reservations so don't know why the owner would tell you that!"...hhhmmm, let me see...maybe because she is the owner, I don't know!!!! So I would agree that the staff needs a bit more training on customer service, but I would definitely continue to return for my Honey Hots and waffle.

While I did enjoy Lo Los and I would go back, I was not blown away. I am a southern girl through and through and LoLos is almost there but not quite. Loved getting sweet tea in a land of the sugared nectar deprived and served in a giant mason jar to boot was great. The waffles were too brown and chewy so order them light if that is how you like them. Now, the star o the show...fried chicken! Delicious batter and the wings are cooked just right. Unfortunatly, the super star breast piece was cooked to death and dry as the Phoenix air! The staff was friendly but slow as all get out. If you go, keep in mind the portions are big enough to share.

My Wife's Favorite. There is no way that either of us could finish a meal at Lolo's, so we team up on one of these delicious meals. Chicken & Waffles with eggs and grits! What a feast!

I love the kool-aide! Go for the Grape, you will enjoy the ice cold "mason jar" ... It's huge AND you get free refills.

If the food is great (and it is) then the service is even greater... Seriously great attitudes flow is this wonderful eatery!

Scrumdidilyumptious!. Chicken, waffles, cute chicks?!?

Sign me up please.

First time eating chicken and waffles together. I liked it. It worked for me and I would recommend it. Enjoy.

Great sides, Good chicken. Had Saturday night supper here.
Both ordered chicken & waffles, with sides of collard greens, and candied sweet potatoes.
The corn bread which came with my combo was exceptional! I could make a meal of the spicy greens and cornbread alone. Candied sweets were delicious, good enough for dessert.
Chicken was good, not great though. Crunchy skin & light batter, but the chicken itself was not the best.
Waffles were good, but a bit light and could use a little more crunch.
Service was quick and efficient, no problems.
I'm being very critical because I expect a lot here. This was a very good meal, and we will most definitely return.
Food...B+
Service...B+
Ambience ....C+
Value....A-
Good place to eat!
Ricky
Food is excellent...especially the cheese grits!!! However, the wait staff coul stand to be a bit more pleasurable ..... not nice.... less tip!!!! The Phoenix location is better overall IMO

Great Food, Great Service. If you are near Phoenix and haven't had the chance to jump on the chicken and waffle bandwagon yet, this is the place to go. I was surprised to find out that the Phoenix area had a chicken and waffle restaurant. In Phoenix for business, I went to the Lo Lo's location in Scottsdale, and ordered the waffle with 2 chicken legs. (the #10). Not only were the chicken and waffles ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS but the service was also very good. My waiter was extra helpful and was on his "A" game in always making sure I was enjoying everything (props to LaMark) .

This place also has great sweet tea they even serve kool-aid, which I thought was cool and nostalgic. Be sure to give Lo Lo's a try, you wont be disappointed...
Kayla Janel
Being originally from the South, I know fried chicken and this place was amazing. The menu variety, along with the great service makes this one of my favorite Soul Food places around. Since I've been in Phoenix, I've had a hard time finding a place that serves "SWEET" tea. I'm always getting served some bland iced tea. But Lolo's got it right. I had to take two to-go cups home!
Sunshine
Went there last week with my family, we all loved it. It's a Southern thing for those that don't 'get' it and it is playing off a culture in a fun way. Our service was great, we all bought some cute Hood Rich t-shirts and hats. Great for vacationers.
Allen Henderson
I don't understand some of the other reviewers who complained about the service. You went to LoLo's because you heard about the chicken. The CHICKEN does not disappoint so in that respect you got what you came for. Like any other eatery that has more than one location the quality of some of the other non-signature items may suffer from time to time BUT the chicken is kickin! Overall, LoLo's is a place that you should try at least once. I love it - the wife loves it (Any time she's happy I'm happy too!). I have been to the Phoenix location several times since moving to the valley but today was my first visit to the Scottsdale location. At my age I can't eat from this menu everyday but when I start thinking about good home cooked food from my days growing up in Ohio I head to LoLo's to satisfy the craving. It's all about what you know and if you don't understand the whole soulfood experience you will feel mistreated sometimes at LoLo's but it's nothing personal it's just how it is. Bottom line - the food is very good especially the fried chicken!
Chubchub94
Chicken and Waffles. Place was pretty crowded when we arrived so we had high expectations. Both my friend and I were not impressed. The portions were big but the fried chicken was average and the waffles were soggy and heavy.
Jim Madrid
Lo Lo's is a no go. Food is a 3 out of 5 and customer service is a 1 out of 5.
Save your self the money and make this food yourself at home. I love chicken, Chicken and women! The chicken and waffles where comparible to Rapper Ludicrous's song of the big butt women with the mean overbight and buck tooth that he takes home after having (just one more drink). The customer service for being in scottsdale was unacceptable. Free refills actually mean bring your own beverage. Go to Poppy's chicken where the real southern'ers do!
Dac
Ate there yesterday. Always tasty and the best fried chicken i have ever had, puts roscos to shame!!
Shivah Ruiz
A must go - the chicken is crispy good full of yummy spices get the cheesy grits and a full mason jar of the sweet tea ;) you can dangerously over eat here
Katrinka
INTERESTING AT BEST!. I still haven't figured out how fried chicken and waffles can go together but I'll never know, I like my waffle to have a bit of a crunch so it holds up under a little syrup. The chicken was very good, did I say very good, it was quite tasty, I mean A+!. Now, it must have been a bad day for Lolo's because the mac and cheese was over cooked and soggy and he greens had way too much sugar in it, did someone trip carrying the sugar! Greens only require a pinch of sugar to cut the bitterness, that was just too much. I did not visit the Scottsdale location, I visited the South Phoenix location. I was supposed to have Dr. Pepper but it was mystery soda! Lolo's keep making that chicken and practice on the sides because they need help.
Troy
Fantastic fried chicken, good people and you leave with a full stomach. I highly recomend you try this place when very hungry.
Cliff LeChiffe
Pretty Good. Yuma Street is better.. If you want the real Lo Lo's experience you have to go to the downtown Phoenix location. Both places serve great food though.
Robert Boyles
Wow. Was in Phoenix for a wedding and ended up stopping by Lo Lo's after reading in the paper that Lo Lo's had the best chicken in Phoenix. I ended up eating some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Great place, wish i could go back again.
Walt In Scottsdale
No No to Chicken and Waffles. If you like Lo Lo's in South Phoenix on Yuma then you will like this better. Why? Because it has air conditioning. Otherwise it is exactly the same food. The problem for me is that I didn't like the food at the Yuma location OR the food here. It's not so much that I didn't like it but rather I just would prefer to have food that was seasoned. Service was slow and no one would actually claim they were are waiter or waitress but when asked they would take our order and bring our food. Again, AFTER we asked for help.
My sister wanted to take her Southern born and raised husband some chicken gizzards (as she was never going to make them for him) but they wouldn't take the order for gizzards alone. The entire meal had to be ordered. You would think they could accommodate the request.
In fairness, the people who I have gone to these restaurants with actually go crazy over the food. Me? I just don't get it. Everything needed seasoning.
Just A Dude That Likes Food
Went there today around 1030 I didn't mind the wait. I was told 20 minutes but only seemed like 10 minutes. Sat at my table and was immediatley asked for drink order (good) then asked again by a second girl, then by a third, then by a fourth all within 90 seconds. I was glad the drinks arrived so people would quit asking if I ordered a drink. The menu says free refills but apparently an empty glass at the edge of the table and a plate still full of food isn't enough of a hint to the girl who walked by the table several times. I had to interupt her and ask for a refill. We also had to ask for knife, forks and napkins. We were given our check within 1 minute of receiving our food. Was not asked if everything was okay or if we wanted dessert. The chicken and waffles were good. I realize that the place was packed and they had people waiting but when I sit down to eat I like to relax and enjoy myself and did not appreciate someone trying to rush me through my meal. I would give the service 1 out of 5 and the food 4 out of 5.

The Legend Lives on in Scottsdale. The fried chicken rocks just like the original location in downtown Phoenix. For those of us who find this location on Scottsdale Road between ASU SkySong and Old Town Scottsdale more convenient, it's a great day. The new place can't possibly have the same character as the original but the food is on target. Enjoy the fried chicken with greens, mac and cheese, corn bread and that hot sauce. Add waffle. It is the best fried chicken in Arizona. Oh, and they fixed the timing issue - they're now open later like a normal restaurant. Highly recommended.
Tony Morales
My favorite part of eating fried chicken is the crispy skin and Lo-Lo’s doesn’t disappoint. The skin was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, the meat itself was plump and juicy (many people and restaurants seem to dry out their birds, a tragedy). The waff
