Visiting Arizona for the first time and headed one morning to find breakfast not from a chain. We came across The Breakfast Joint and desired to give it a try. And I will say we enjoyed every thing about it! Starting with our server Melinda, she was amazing friendly, attentive and informative! Then came the food, amazing, flavorful! So then we had to get the pastries to go from being to full, great for lunch though.. wish they had a place in Ohio!!

Loved it! Fantastic, friendly service with Chicago attitude. Great food and generous portions make this a spot we are sure to return to. The 2x2 with Banana Pecan Pancakes was a star. Fabulous pancakes. The Patty Melt was perfectly cooked and delicious. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Wonderful spot for a bite to eat after hiking the McDowell Mountain Preserve .

The only thing I'll say is to make sure you go to the correct location. There are two that are only about 10 minutes apart. It is Cubs/Chicago themed, with Wrigley field and the Cubs logo painted on one of the walls. I had the breakfast quesadilla, which was so delicious, and they were able to do it without the meat, so that was exciting. The only think I could say is that I wish they had fried potatoes on the menu, since this is brunch restaurant. Also the staff were all really great.

Still the best breakfast in town with the friendliest staff in town. Bruce's Bowl is my favorite. I sometimes think about it and wonder if it is also thinking of me. My wife loves loves the biscuits and gravy. She is a bit of a biscuits and gravy fanatic, and she thinks these are the best she has ever had. Sorry, Aunt Shirley

I just wanted to say thank you to Brittany at " Breakfast Joynt" my family and I enjoy ourselves, the service from Brittany was impeccable and the food was outstanding. My main reason for this review was to shine light on Brittany. I had a such a great experience, especially being my first time visiting Arizona. She was able to handle my family with their substitutes and add-ons. She had a great sense of humor and she can tell you a few jokes or two. I will definitely recommend everyone reading this review to ask for Brittany. Besides the great customer service, the atmosphere is great and very clean.

My wife and I had been anxious to come here for awhile. We love trying new breakfast spots suggested by word of mouth or with good reviews. I had the breakfast fried chicken which was pretty good. The gravy was good and the hash browns were as well. I would not ask for them to be extra crispy tho as they were harder to get on the fork lol. My wife had the crabby Benny which she loved as well.

Decided to stop for breakfast after an appointment at Mayo Clinic and we were not disappointed!! Everything was fabulous. Our server, Raymond, was personable, attentive, and kept our waters full. He offered to top off my coffee and even sent me home with a full to-go cup! I had the eggs Benedict (pictured) which was delicious except I didn't care for the ham. No problem, I just gave it to my husband. The hollandaise sauce was amazing, which can be hit or miss at many restaurants. I also asked for my hash browns extra crispy, which they were! My husband got the country fried steak and it was incredible. The pancakes were delicious. Basically, everything was a hit! Can't wait to return and try the biscuits and gravy and maybe even some lunch items!

4 stars might be a bit generous, but you can hardly complain too much when the prices are so low, portions are generous and the restaurant is bright and clean. Service was good until we paid the check. No one cleared the dirty dishes and coffee and water service stopped as I write this review... Hubby had the chicken fried steak and eggs ($9.99) with hash browns and toast (1 slice cut in half). Chicken fried steak was incredibly tender but a bit salty. Which was okay with the hash browns that were cooked perfectly. Well, perfectly the way we like them. Cooked crispy, mixed up then crispy on the outside but still tender on the inside with a bit of crunch throughout. I had the basic breakfast ($8.99) with the corned beef hash and eggs with pancake option instead of toast (wanted to try as many things as possible on one visit!). Corned beef hash left A LOT to be desired. First bite was reminiscent of wet cat food. Reminded me of the canned stuff we used to take camping as a kid (no, not a good thing). This "basic" breakfast came with 2 pancakes (approx. 6"). Nothing special about the pancakes. Not great but not bad. Syrup wasn't really syrup, mostly sugary water so I'm guessing along the lines of log cabin or Mrs. Butterworth's. You know, the high fructose corn syrup with coloring added. Again, with these prices, can't really expect the real stuff, I guess. Munchkin had the kids waffle. Basically half a plain Belgian waffle with 2 slices of "really yummy" bacon. Bacon was thick and crispy. For how great prices were for everything else... $5.99 seemed a little high for such a small portioned plate. So all in all, nothing to write home about. And in all fairness, for the price I shouldn't have expected a good homemade corned beef hash. Basically you get what you pay for here. A cheap, no frills breakfast with the bonus of a nice clean environment. Music wasn't too loud that we felt we had to talk over it and employees all pitched in. We had someone take our order, another bring it out and yet another in addition to our first two that was attentive in refilling coffee and waters. Biggest complaint was that the coffee was terrible. We'll definitely be back when in the area to try other things. Where else can you get a basic Eggs Benedict for only $8.99?!? Oh, and someone did clear some of our dishes just as we were getting ready to leave.

I normally don’t leave reviews, good or bad. But my food and service were such that I felt compelled to. I took my kids there (10101 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale) for breakfast in between baseball games on a Sunday. Our server, Bri, has to be one of the best I’ve encountered in years. She was very attentive to our needs and possible needs. She was not overbearing either. I could tell that she cared about her job and how well she did it. It was truly refreshing to see her investing something from within into her job. It is usually the other way around with most. In such a short amount of time, we felt completely at home in an otherwise busy atmosphere. She is a tremendous asset, in my opinion. The waffles, pancakes, eggs, OJ, coffee…all were spectacular. I would definitely be a regular if I lived here.
