Review Goldwater Brewing Co. - Scottsdale

Christina Wang
Had a flight while visiting Scottsdale on a solo trip and was pleasantly surprised by the local beer! My favourite was definitely the machine gun teddy - classic brown ale flavour šŸ˜ I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Sublemonal since I'm usually not a fan of IPA but this wasn't as bitter and the lemon made it quite refreshing! Enjoyed the humour by the water station šŸ¤

Super nice folks with really tasty beer. Found this place because they had an outpost in the old town. They let us try beers and even had a spot outside for us to park out bikes. Would recommend this to anyone in the Old Town. Hopefully the next time we are there, they will have tin tackers and other cool souvenirs!

Out of towner looking for a quick drink and we were recommended this brewery by locals. I tried the Excessive Hop Warning IPA and it was dank! Great spot and friendly service. Would come back again.

If you're looking for great beer around Scottsdale this is a great place to start. Really nice variety of styles and most of what I had was really on point. Some beers are pouring straight off the tank which is always nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a fairly small indoor area but there is outdoor seating as well. Nice selection of canned to go beer, and they do crowlers of anything on tap. Well worth the visit!

Cool vibe with a talkative crowd. A bit tight inside but good amount of seating and they did well maximizing the space. Thereā€™s 1 TV that was playing the NBA playoffs. The AC temp was good! The bartenders were super friendly and offered tasters. We got the birthday suit IPA and Moon Rocks TIPA both were good and strong.

Great spot - great location! Servers a super chill and friendly as heck. šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼The patio is such a cool spot for hangouts with friends or even a date night. You can bring games or food to make most of the atmosphere. Need to try the super tasty goodness ā€œHop Chowdaā€ for sure. The flight is a great idea - plus they have a good selection of beers to go.

I took myself on a solo date here after brunch and met so many wonderful people to just chat with at the bar. Justin and Abby were serving and incredible at recommending the different beers, I did get to try a few different ones, but ended up loving the Day Beer. I did two rounds and it was around $15 for a regular pint glass. Pet friendly place as well.

Cool old school tap room. The beer was very good (I had their brown) and the bartender was friendly and helpful.

Was in town today for work. Stopped by for a flight. Beers were very solid, great customer service. I feel bad and forget the 2 guys names behind the bar but they both had great local recommendations for things to do as a non-local. I would definitely make this place a regular stop if I was local. I would go out of my way to revisit when I am back in town.

Perfect spot for a quick drink. Great vibes. Friendly atmosphere. The guy behind the bar tonight was very nice.

Goldwater is a Scottsdale hidden gem. All of the beers are great (Desert Rose is my fav!) and the space itself is fun (tap room, basement, and upstairs patio!). Iā€™d love to see what theyā€™d do with food pairings, but itā€™s also kinda nice to have somewhere just for great beer with so many other options in Old Town for food and drinks.

Iā€™ve been here several times and this place is awesome! Great beer, awesome environment, and they have crowlers and growlers to take it on the go. No food but they have jalapeƱo popcorn always popping for free. You also have to check out the rooftop, you will feel like you are in SoCal. Staff is always super friendly and chill. Donā€™t listen to the complainers and grouchy snowbirds. This place is one of the best breweries in the valley.

My FAVORITE brewery in Phoenix! Love that it is within walking distance to Old Town, without being "Old Town" atmosphere ;) The beers are all delicious, but my favorites would have to be the Say John and the Desert Rose (and any variations on them). The Goldmine is probably the best part of this place though, which is where they have some smaller, super creative brews on tap (I love any of the wine barrel beers)! The staff is incredibly friendly and they recognize us when we go in - this is one of our neighborhood staples!

I keep thinking about my experience at Goldwater. This past weekend we were in town for a wedding. My wife and I wanted to try the local beer and turned to Goldwater. I cannot say enough good things: atmosphere, beer, and bartenders went above and beyond to create an experience I won't forget. My wife and I would highly recommend this place!!!

They have many different types of beers on tap, all pretty good. The desert rose imperial is very good and unique. Their unfiltered IPA and stout also are very good. Service was good. Parking is tight but available. Id like to see an imperial or double/triple IPA and a BBA stout (or something like Prairie Bomb). They also need more seating and maybe some other snacks. But all in all they have a good selection of beers, none of which are bad. A sign of a good brew master. Do Arizona laws limit the ABV that brewpubs can serve?

The best beer in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Regardless of the type of beer you enjoy, Goldwater has something that'll please. If in doubt as to what to try, Desert Rose is a phenomenal ale that will satisfy any palate. Awesome staff, awesome atmosphere. Go try a pint...and enjoy the popcorn, too!! ļæ½ļæ½

One of the best breweries I have ever been to. Every beer was high quality and got the "I could drink a pint of that nod" from me and my husband. We shared a full flight of tastings and even made it down to the gold mine to to sample the barrel aged. We live near by so we will be visiting often.

Awesome beer, awesome location, cool vibe. The only downside is the copper bar tops. They make your hands and forearms smell like shit (unless you like that smell).

Visited these guys over spring break. Best beer in Scottsdale in my opinion. Tried several of their NE Style IPAs and they were all delicious. Bartender was great as well. Adding this to my list of must haves each time Iā€™m down there.

This place was great! The beer was excellent, and they really had some unique brews. If you're considering it, you should go get a pint (or a few) here.
Gary Scronce
Loved the Scottish Ale and even the stout, which is not normally my favorite style of beer. Bartender was knowledgeable and friendly.

Great setting. Beer is excellent. Great variety and their Birthday Suit IPA is a must taste! Highly recommend coming here if your from out of town.

1st time here. Great products, great staff, great crowd! You have to check out the basement!

Hands down probably the best local brewery in the greater Phoenix area. Friendly staff, fantastic interior and exterior space; however most importantly, the beer is spot on.
John Forbis
First time here, beer was very good, had the NE Hazy IPA and the Double Hazy IPA - cool environment - but the service here was very, very poor.
David Marsh
Great service and tasty beers!! The Desert Rose Cactus beer was on point!
