Excellent cuisine and beverages with a diverse menu offering meals like fried chicken, cod, hearty beet salads, pasta and pies. The restaurant was bustling so it was fun to see it is appreciated by its community.

We had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Nice, spicy gravy on a tender fried steak with potatoes. Excellent! We sat on the dog friendly patio they greeted our pup with a bowl of water and pets. Our pup enjoyed the chicken breast. The breakfast cocktails are very good as well. I had a fruity sangria. There were Heaters on the patio to keep us comfortable. The manager even came out to introduce himself and let us know about live music on Thursday night. We are looking forward to coming back for that. 5 stars for sure!

Kicking ourselves for not coming here sooner! First of all, the restaurant itself is beautiful and my kind of vibe; plants inside and out. I'm a patio diner unless the inside of a place is really aesthetic. This place is cool inside and out; made for a tough decision. The front patio is bright and open, the back patio is shaded in plants, and the inside is gorgeous. Then, the food. I'm not a real fan of breakfast because it can be boring and the same... not here. We struggled to pick what we wanted because there were so many unique options. I chose the Heavenly Hash with beef tenderloin, bacon, potatoes, eggs, cheese sauce, and all brought together well by the grilled veggies. I love a good country fried steak, and my husband's Crazy Cowboy order put a fun spin on it with green chili sauce. The kids loved their chocolate chip pancakes with bacon. Also, our server was great. He kept us all smiling and gave great recommendations. Lastly, the drinks. A good spicy bloody mary is my husband's favorite, and the jalapeno bacon bloody was perfect. I went for Duck, Duck Booze because it was fun and I knew the kids would get a kick out of the rubber duckie. We will definitely be back because we now need to experience dinner here!

Come hungry!!!! I visited two nights in a row and would have gone a third night if I was not heading home to North Carolina. Absolutely phenomenal food, fantastic service, great drinks and delicious dessert. Make sure to order the key lime pie, there is nothing like it. Tell your waiter when you arrive because if you wait too long, they may run out. I had the Mexican Meatloaf the first night and the pork chop the next one. I can't even decide which I liked better, they are both phenomenal. The meatball appetizer and green chili pork appetizer would be my recommendations, but I honestly doubt you could go wrong with anything on this menu. Yum!

The shrimp and grits and cocktail I had were tasty! The atmosphere was so relaxing and lovely and there was a live band playing tunes everybody would enjoy. The service was stellar and I truly enjoyed my experience here. The ONLY complaint is that when the band took a break they started playing country music, which I really don't enjoy and neither did my friend. The bartender said it's the music they typically play. I'm hesitant to come back, but I loved this place so much I might just come back on another Thursday. Or maybe just not play country music?? Is the owner reading this?? Haha!

I climbed to the top of Humphreys Peak and wandered around the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on my recent trip to Arizona. You know what else I did that was absolutely awesome? I located and consumed multiple cocktails that literally had a rubber duckie floating in it. It may not have been one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, but what a sight to look at AND drink. Several months ago when I was researching destinations for this trip (we're talking dead of winter early February-ish), I was looking for edgy places fairly close to Phoenix for the night before the trip home to NJ. It didn't take long to find pictures of a bright blue beverage with an equally bright yellow duck. Problem solved. Soul Cafe was a LITTLE out of the way (it seems to be literally right in the NE corner of the Phoenix metro area before it gives way to full-on desert), but made for a fairly easy stop after a long car ride that started in Sedona hours earlier. The large strip mall it was housed in was located uneventfully, and my friend and I had a late lunch nearby before meeting up with one of my noble OG chums from olden times here (we met in the kindergarten bathroom - those bonds last for life). I was nervous coming in because a prior menu review indicated the Duck Duck Booze was only referenced within the breakfast/brunch cocktail menu (no waiting until 12PM in these parts). My OG chum was confident it wouldn't be an issue, and after explaining to our waitress the situation we watched as she went to the bartender to make the impossible a reality. I have no idea why you would limit this wonderment to one part of the day, but the staff at Soul Cafe made an exception for me on this magical evening, and that's what matters. Literally my only piece of constructive feedback here is to add this drink to the other part of the menu. The drink arrived with great fanfare, and as you can see from the attached, it was the visual perfection I had been waiting for. I'm not sure I've seen a water source this exact color in real life, but that's not even a quibble. Easily one of the best cocktail optics I've ever seen, and the drink itself was delicious. I'm usually not crazy about gin, but blue curacao isn't a stranger to my glass, and egg whites are one of my all-time favorite booze accompaniments; if you want your drink to be as smooth as a glass of Evian AND put a hue on your cheeks? Look for the egg whites. I may have accidentally had five over the course of a few hours, which was definitely at least one or two too many but I was on vacation so it's allowed. One of my friends also ordered one (when in Rome, right?) but wasn't as excited as I was, claiming it was too sweet. My argument would be that it's practically fluorescent and has a bath toy in it - how was it not going to be on the sweeter side? Regardless, a rare item that lived up to the hype that had been steadily building for about three months. The service was very good. While it was pretty empty when we came in, it was PACKED within an hour or two throughout the restaurant. This is clearly a hopping place (though I didn't see any rubber ducks at other tables, so the conclusion I drew was that they have other scrumptious items on the menu). Our waitress was great. Not only did she nobly advocate for my off-menu request, but she was absolutely slammed for most of our visit and still kept her head above water (honestly a phrase I'm not sure I say if I'm not thinking about the ducks). Super friendly and kept the blue beauties coming. For me, Scottsdale was pretty much just a drab, tan-colored town with some cacti and golf courses. I can't think of a single reason to ever come back to this area except for this wonderful place. Loved it. Perfect experience. Quack.

Breakfast is delicious. I had the scramble with goat cheese and potatoes on the side. I requested the green salsa with pork to add to my eggs and it was a wow. Also, I had a blueberry mule. I came here with a group of girls. The service was great. They will not disappoint.

Nice place all around. A good variety of dishes including fish dishes. All the meals were well portioned and looked delicious. Good options for drinks and apps and all very tasty. The desserts were all pies and they were individually prepared and served. Price was reasonable; good value. Overall a very solid option.
