Great find in Scottsdale! Hubby and I dine here twice, it was that good! During breakfast we tried their All American breakfast and bagel. Love the cinnamon raisin bagel and their blueberry cream cheese. For dinner, we tried the matzo ball soup and reuben. Everything we tried was excellent. On top of it, staff were great and friendly. Shout out to Shea and Kelley for making our dining experience wonderful!
Highly recommend and would definitely come back when we are in the area.

Great tasting bread, and perfect little eclair. Friendly staff, and clean environment. Turkey sandwich was delicious and lettuce was fresh, not browning. The Swiss cheese was fresh and good thickness. The tomatoes were surprisingly not wet messy but firm and with good bite.
Not busy at all on late Friday afternoon and staff was extremely accommodating. I’m looking forward to returning to try more bakery items and the corned beef.

Was able to accommodate a large party with little advanced notice, only 20 mins for 11 people. Very large menu to choose from. Probably the most choices I've seen. Gluten free options. Big portions. Very reasonable price and great service. Bakery with lots of sweet treats. A family favorite.

Awesome New York style deli. My wife and I tried this location for the first time 6/6/22. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Our server was Tina, she took the time to explain menu items and was super quick to get food out and refill drinks. Tina was very helpful! We ordered pierogi’s, the homemade knish and sweet & sour stuffed cabbage rolls for appetizers. Ordered their famous Reuben for main course. You must try this place, you won’t be disappointed!!

We were there at 11:30 am on a Saturday. There was only a two minute wait for a table. Table service was slow and extra coffee was brought even though it wasn't ordered, and a bagel that was ordered wasn't brought.
The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. The food is the only thing that kept this from being a lower score.
Update on 10/16/23: food was outstanding. Large portions, hot and tasty.

This place was not what I had imagined it to be.
It is located a walking distance from Shea Honorhealth. We waited 20 minutes to be seated at Noon. The time flew by since we were looking at all of the bakery goods.
A patron at a table in the bakery saw us looking at the menu and she told us what she was eating. It sounded so good my husband ordered that. It was Sheila'Turkey Sliders. I shared Mark's Monte Cristo with my granddaughter. And they actual served the split meal on separate plates. So nice! My granddaughter also got the chicken matzo ball soup which is $3 less when ordered with a sandwich.
Adam our waiter was very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The whole experience was enjoyable. Our total was $50.
My husband and granddaughter both took part of their meals home. All if us loved the flavors of our meals. Then we bought some baked goods to take home, $9.
Seriously come try this place!

I have loved going to Chompie's for years. It has always been quality service and they are able to meet my allergy needs. They were able to figure out what salmon I could eat and get me the sides I was wanting. It tasted delicious! My daughter enjoyed the fried chicken and fruit. The rest of our group enjoyed their meals so much they had no left overs. It is always a pleasure going to all their locations. They have a great bakery as well!

August 2023 - this is my first visit to the restaurant, and I doubt will be my last. There was a bit of confusion on my part when I entered the restaurant as there is a takeout order area, and a seating area next to each other, with no clear signage for a first time visitor to follow. However, this got straightened out in short order and I was cheerfully greeted by the hostess and seated. My reason for seeking out this restaurant was the recommendation of their Reuben sandwich, specifically the Classic Grandpa Ruby's Reuben. The service was both prompt and professional. The Reuben came in short order, appropriately hot, stacked high with some of the most tender and delicious corned beef I've had here in Arizona. This sandwich, with just the right amount of dressing and saurkraut on toasted rye bread could easily stand with the best I've ever found in Chicago and elsewhere. No sogginess, yet juicy and tender with just the right balance of savory, sour and sweet to make it worth at least a second visit.

I really like this Arizona chain restaurant, serving up some baked sweets and treats, New York style Deli sandwiches along with Breakfast and hearty meals. I have to point out that his place is decorated with nostalgic decor and the staff is professional and friendly. The sandwiches and the food that was being dished out around me at my visit was so tempting to have every dish there. The food described by the group whom I was with agrees with me were fantastic.
I will give this Arizona establishment a 5 Srars rating . I totally recommend d them. I would like to tha k them for honoring military a d Veterans with a discount. I appreciate it..

Haven't found any other deli in Phoenix yet that gets me in that NY State of Mind like I get at Chompies. They've managed to nearly replicate that feel and experience of an iconic NY Jewish deli. Their breakfast menu has all the classic breakfast items as well as many ethnic favorites. Their deli sandwiches are nothing short of the mile-high stacks of meat you'd see anywhere in the Burroughs. They have a full service deli with better options than the local supermarkets and a full bagel shop (with REAL NY-style bagels - don't get me started). Their bakery display cases are a walk down memory lane, filled with cookies and other sweet treats that you just can't find easily here in Phoenix. Even their Italian classics treats and Christmas cookies during the holidays are spectacular - enough to make the Christians blush. I judge all delis by their ability to create a good pastrami Reuben. Chompies has a menu of various Reuben classics, all of which I have tried over the years and they never disappoint. Make you try the pickles! I'm happy that they're working on another location in Phoenix. I always enjoy dropping in to get a reminiscent Jewish deli fix. They always seem busy and the weekends may find you waiting in lines. But the staff and service has always been good.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! I just had an amazing experience here at Scottsdale Chompie's :) Every staff member we met was incredibly nice, and then on top of that the food was delicious! The best pastrami we've ever had. Wow! And their homemade desserts were perfect. You have to come try their Deli and Bakery! We will be back. Thank you to the amazing GM, Jill, and Abbie :)

I've been there 3 times. The first time the food was great. The second time not as good. Potato pancakes where not hot like the first time I went. Second and third time cold. I had the brisket sandwich this last time. No flavor. Very disappointed the last 2 times. Serves wasn't good. Our food was kinda just thrown on the table.

THE BEST corn beef I have ever tasted!! I had it in an egg skillet and it was great but when I returned a week later for lunch and had the Grandpa's rueben - I was in heaven. Tons of melt in your mouth corn beef on a toasted rye bread. I wish I could stay in Scottsdale longer and really wish they had a Chompie's in teh Chicago area. I will be back in 10 months!!

This place is absolutely amazing and I am absolutely heartbroken that I have lived here for 7 years and never heard of it before yesterday. I believe when we walked in the door her name was Rosalinda she was phenomenal very friendly explained all the specials explain the restaurant the deli and the bakery to us very very sweet very very helpful. Then there was our waitress Taylor she was quick efficient and super friendly as well. Rosalinda brought over several cookies for us to try from the bakery since it was our first visit and I fell in love with the black forest cookies I also purchased a few things to take home such as a dozen of your chocolate covered strawberries linzer Tarts and Santa Claus and snowman cookie which I've eaten today they were delicious. I had a combination sandwich on rye bread of the corned beef and pastrami with a side of the coleslaw and all of it was delicious my lunch mate had the sliders and he enjoy those as well. Since yesterday I have been talking Non-Stop about this place and they will definitely see me again absolutely phenomenal.

I love Chompie’s! Amazing sandwiches, and the chicken noodle soup is the best I have ever had! This is also the only restaurant I am aware of where you can order stuffed cabbage rolls. They are great!

First time I went here was with my mother great experience service is great food is awesome I ordered a sandwich not exactly sure of the name of it now it had corned beef and pastrami on it but it was so big I couldn't eat all of it there is just no way my mother ordered potato pancakes they looked awesome definitely I'm going to have to try it again

Was at a bowling tournament and a local recommended that we try Chompies for dinner! Loved it--half sandwich had more meat on it then could be eaten. The bakery had so much to choose from we bought multiple items!
