Review La Hacienda - Scottsdale

Recently dined at this upscale Mexican restaurant and it was a culinary delight! Started with a mango Margarita - strong and flavorful. Their appetizers are a must-try, especially the shrimp seviche and shrimp tacos. The Brussels sprout dish was a pleasant surprise. Don't miss the tableside guacamole - it's a showstopper! Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience.

First off, we love the location within the upscale resort. The food and ambience were fantastic; as well as the impeccable service by our waiter Orlando. The guacamole with carnitas was phenomenal. Secondly, The Tequila Goddess is extremely knowledgeable and personable thus making the experience unique and unforgettable! We travel globally and have not yet encountered anyone like her that provides such an educational service of the tequila industry. Lastly, if you are in the Scottsdale area and seek a memorable adventure, go to La Hacienda, which is definitely one of the top culinary spots in the country. Kudos to the team! Great restaurant in the Fairmont Princess Scottsdale. Food is yummy, service is great, and good vibe. What more can you ask for... You just have to give them a try and see for yourself.

I have been coming here for the passed 10 years and my experience has been great every time. This is my absolute favorite place to eat when I am visiting Scottsdale. I have brought friends and family, I can confidently say that everyone I have brought here has loved the food and has returned for more.\ The Food is amazing. I can say that this is my favorite Mexican restaurant by far. Most food we have tried has been amazing. There has been some misses and I will share them with you. To be fair for everything I have tried that I did not like I have tried 2-3 things that I loved so to me that is an amazing resturant. The service is great on our last visit we had Carlos serving us who was great, we ate here 2 times on our last visit as my family and my friends family loved the food so much that we decided to cancel our reservation at really nice resturant to return the next night to try something else. I am a big fan of tequila so I am continuously on the hunt for the next best to try and buy at home. One of my favorite thing about this place is that they have a Tequila connoisseur and her name is "Berkeley Alvarado" who is AMAZING. She is very knowledgeable and the best part is that she is not like a car salesman who wants to upgrade you and just sell you something to make a buck. She truly loves what she does. She is very informative and goes out of her way to make sure that you get what you are looking for, no pressure. She makes your experience exploring new Tequila much more pleasant. Much thanks. We tried the steak for kids, Chicken strip for kids, Steak Fajitas, Shrimp ceviche, Corn tamales, Vegetarian Enchiladas, SeaBass, guacamole and Pomegranate Guacamole. Although everything was great, the sea-bass was amazing. The stake could use more salt but the quality was great. The guacamole is to die for, the pomegranate guacamole was okay not my favorite. Vegi Enchiladas, amazing, Corn tamales WOW. Shrimp ceviche was delightful. Kids loved their food and the beans was great although I am not a big fan of bean. So Overall food was Amazing We ordered chorus and ice cream, Tres Leches and the flan. We love loved the Chorus and Ice cream. Our group was not a big fan of the Tres Leches although the presentation was beautiful. We felt that it lacked the flavor and texture of a great Tres Leches cake. The flan was good but it was a bit of a strong scent and flavor for us, we would have liked for it to be a bit lighter. Again this my opinion and I am sure someone with a different taste profile may think that they are great. Side note I love how clean fresh smelling the restrooms were. A huge plus for a high end restaurant. Here is the break down for my rating based on my opinion. You should always try it for your self. 5 For Service 10 for Tequila selection and Expertise 5 For Food 4 For Desert 5 for Ambiance 5+ for cleanliness of restrooms.

Every moment of our dining experience was amazing. The staff are friendly and attentive. The cuisine and drinks were so deliciious. Best Mexican style seafood we have ever had! The setting is beautiful, warm and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!

Very nice, great chips and salsa, portions are small but worked for me. It was my birthday, I got chocolate tacos/with chocolate mousse inside. Great experience-and I am very picky. Great margarita as well I had the pineapple spicy one and the blood orange one. Very good.

Our server was Rosa and she was amazing! Had some good recommendations. The food was good, service was good as well, and very nice atmosphere for our monthly date night. I also had the blood orange margarita...it was delicious!

Everything we experienced here was fantastic. The food was incredible, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a group of 24, so we ordered from the group menu. Every appetizer was delicious, the main courses were all delivered at the same time and the desert was excellent. No one waited for a drink or their food, they literally kept the entire table very happy.

Aaron was amazing ! We eat here every time we come to the Princess but Aaron exceeded our expectations by far. He was friendly, efficient and very gracious with the four children at our table. He offered great suggestions for food and drinks and anticipated every need. Thank you for a great start to our night at the Princess!

The fish tacos were fabulous and the service and atmosphere were fantastic, would definitely recommend going here for dinner 😊💗

The food was awesome especially the chips and guac I am not a huge fan of veggies but i liked the cauliflower side dush

Have dined at the restaurant a number of times and it is always a great experience. Our waitress, who I always ask for is Yuri (believe that is the spelling); she is the best; knows the menu, always makes great suggestions and is one of the best.... well timed and not intrusive whatsoever! I can't say good enough about her and hope she remains with La Hacienda.... we visit every year!

Beautiful & exciting. Not a typical Mexican restaurant atmosphere a bit more elegant. Very large bar, so if the restaurant is full, you can eat at the bar. Outdoor, sparking patio overlooking the resort. The margaritas and cocktails are very unique and delicious. We loved the place.

I chose the top-end whiskey flight and paired it with delicious rib-eye tacos. Both were excellent choices and priced reasonable for the quality and service. The only critique I would have is to step up their game on the tableside guacamole. Theirs was prefixed and simply mixed tableside. Most high-end restaurants that offer this, peel the avocados and mix ingredients with input from the guests as to content and spiciness. That said, the guacamole was very good as is.

Enjoyable this modern Mexican cuisine. I still missed the authentic style as some twist to its the usual pull pork quesadillas but served slow braised pork instead ! The lobster tacos which you won’t typically find it in local Mexican restaurants is great. The mushroom Sopes is yummy as it has blended with some levels of spiciness! The wine selection are rawly good at reasonable price. Something puzzle me was when we called to book at 7pm , told no seat available but 730pm. When we got there at 710pm, almost half of the restaurant is filled …nice ambience when sit outside in the evening and great service too!

Service was so nice and professional at La Hacienda. I loved the ambiance - contemporary, relaxing and family friendly. The food was excellent! The appetizers and entrees came out very quickly after we ordered! Loved the chips and guacamole! I would recommend at the Fairmont Princess Scottsdale resort.

The atmosphere was subdued lighting, romantic. They offer tequila flights in order to taste excellent ones. We highly enjoyed the carnitas and chocolate flan. Our server, Orlando, was excellent. The blood orange margarita is a great choice from the norm. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Great, food was fine served insulated by servers working hard to get it right. We sat right by the ice rink. Great idea. We could have the table from 6 till 10. Beautiful lights everywhere.
