A couple has just purchased Drake's and are planning to completely renovate the motel. Waiting to see how it is going to look when it's finished. Very depressing motel! True, there are new owners working on the place but it looks abandoned, the parking lot is cracked with weeds and we were the only people there. They clearly aren't ready to be open, but they are. The pictures on the website are deceptive. This is a neglected and shabby motel.

Lovely hidden gem! Great people and amazing setting. Weekend getaway in uncle John's cabin and we'll be back again! Very close to downtown Schroon Lake which is beautiful and the beach was refreshing.

No free breakfast. Google info is wrong. The restaurant is closed in the mornings, so even paid breakfast is unavailable. Wi-Fi is free but cannot be connected from the room. You have to go to the restaurant for that (when it is open). The pool was closed without any explanation. Other than that you
