The customer service today was superb. The bartender entered my order in incorrectly and caught the mistake when the food came out. It was no big deal to me but she let me know that my food would take a little longer and then they comped the meal even though i told them it wants t necessary. Then they brought me the correct meal and it was the best chicken sandwich i have had in years. Great food, great staff, great experience.
Weve visited this restaurant twice after long days of basketball games. Weve had great service both times, but yesterday was exceptionally great. It was my sons 10th birthday, and we stopped in to eat before the long drive home. Our server, Angie, was very helpful and allowed my son to order whatever he wanted for his bday dinner. She also brought a few other servers to sing Happy Birthday and gave ice cream to both of my boys. We will definitely make the long drive back up here from Morris soon to eat again. The food is great too! Next time we'll get the nachos!! Thank you!

We discovered Village tavern years ago and this is our favorite place. We have celebrated Birthdays and graduations here. Service is always great and the food is delicious!!! We always have a good time here. Try the nachos and the famous chicken tenders.�
They have best chicken fingers, and nachos are great too. Actually everything is good, portions are huge so you will not leave hungry. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm sitting in the Tavern as I write this! Excellent place to visit no matter what time of day or week! The food is always great and feels like a home cooked meal. Warm, inviting, fun atmosphere! I have only gone here a few times and it gets better everytime.i had the coconut chicken fingers and mango sauce which was to die for!everyone should give it try,I don't think y o u I'll be disappointed!

Just ordered take out and it was amazing! I was worried the quality wouldn’t be there because we weren’t eating in person but the food held up great. We got salmon and baked potato and the sampler platter. Huge portions, tons of sauce options, and everything was super tasty. Definitely hit the spot and will be ordering again soon.
The breading on the fish and chicken strips is amazing. Good ribs as well. The bar has that nice neighborhood atmosphere that many bars are lacking in the suburbs. Employees are nice and seem to like working there. Everything I’ve had from here has been good.
This was the best stack of Pub nachos in years. You wouldn't think there is an art, but there is. The chips are big and crisp enough to hold all the yummy layers. The chili was excellent, cheese plentiful and spread throughout. They loose one start on the sangria. It was just ok and it took ordering it three times to get it. The service was not-enough-servers slow (not their fault) but very friendly.

The place is definitely casual and it is clean. It was busy when we got there, but we were immediately accommodated by their friendly and attentive staff. They have a nice selection on their menu and, of course, a wonderful selection of drinks. A lot of people are saying that their chicken fingers are a must, so we did not forget to order them. The service was okay. It was not fast, which is understandable, and it was okay because it was not slow. All of the food that we ordered had a nice portion. I understand why people love their chicken fingers. They were good. It is tender, they got a nice crisp, and the dip was good too. I must say that the chicken fingers are good, while the other food tastes fine, and it has nothing special, but what’s important is that it tastes good. The prices are fair and reasonable. We also liked the drinks. Overall, we had a good experience. We expected something better based on what we heard about this place, but we still enjoyed it. We liked the drinks, and the food was okay. It is a nice spot. I recommend their drinks and the chicken fingers as well.
The food is everything they say it is. But the chicken fingers are the BEST I've ever had and the sauce oh my goodness you could have it served as a drink!
Wonder staff. Our server was great and my bad memory is the only reason I can't remember his name. I want to say Carlos that's a guess. Still met all our needs. 10 🌟 if it was possible.
Good food! I came with my extended family so in total it was about 18 of us. I was happy, although the service left a little more to be desired. I think the issue was just because of how loud the music inside was. Otherwise, it was nice to eat dinner there.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend who lives in the neighborhood and glad we decided to try it. It is definitely a local place, but felt very welcome and comfortable. They have bar and table seating available. It is a great place to watch a game too as they have TV’s all over.
In regards to the pandemic, mask are required to enter, all staff had on mask, social distancing was in place and each table had hand sanitizer available. Also, during our visit we did see them disinfectant a table.
For food, they are known for their chicken fingers, but each dish we had was good. The chicken tenders were battered light, fluffy and buttery and their honey mustard was delicious. They do have different sauces available, but our friend recommended their honey mustard. We shared this as an appetizer, the dish is 6 pieces.
For entrees, my boyfriend ordered their full slab of ribs which was a special (on a Saturday). I am personally not a rib person, but these were so good! I actually recommend these over the chicken fingers to be honest. They were cooked perfectly! Charred outside and so soft it came off the bone. I would have preferred more barbecue sauce, but I don’t mind to get a little messy. The ribs came with a choice of soup or salad and we tried their chicken and rice soup which was a broth and this was so good too! We weren’t sure what to expect since we are use to creamy rice chicken soup. I ordered a BLT sandwich which was tasty. I know super basic just a BLT, but they do not skimp on the bacon and the bacon was cooked perfectly and had flavor.
Our waitress was so great! She was very friendly and kept checking on us. She was on top of our refills and before we received the ribs, she brought us a basket for the bones, extra napkins, and wet wipes. I’m not sure if this is something that they normally do or if she just did that, either way we appreciated it!
I recommend to stop by if you are in the area or craving good soup or ribs.
