Review Bluestone Brewing Company - Sayre

Very rarely do you stop into a brewery and like every beer you try, but this is the place! We had 2 flights trying 10 beers and not one was disappointing. Big Elk Amber Ale was my husband's favorite this time, they were out of Mexican Radio but he really enjoyed that one at a Maple Festival we had been to. I am not a big beer drinker but the Bueberry Pale Ale and blackberry ale were both very good. I had the black bean burger tacos which were good but extra spicy. My husband had the pulled pork tacos which were very good along with sharing broccoli salad which was delicious. The pretzel logs started off our meal and were nice and soft with no salt, the honey mustard and cheese dips were very tasty as well. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather under the covered patio, very nice place inside and out.

Love this brewery. Beautiful properly/building. Really friendly staff and lists of delicious beers to choose from. The food is really good too!

We came here today after a hike and this was the best spot to come. We were dressed really casually and didn’t feel out of place. We sat and ate indoors. But they do have an outdoor area where they do drinks only. It is a family family place and dog friendly outdoors. He food was really good. They did have a smaller menu, but they had a variety of options. My boyfriend doesn’t eat beer or pork and he still managed to find something on the menu. My best friend is a vegan and they had vegan and vegetarian options. That’s something I really appreciate. The beers were really good. They had a good options of beers, cider and seltzer’s. I’m Not sure if it is seasonal or all year round but I really enjoyed the options. I ended up taking home a growler of the maple beer which I really enjoyed. The flights were good sized portions along with a nice set up plan to go from lightest to darkest beers. If I’m ever in the area again I would come back it was a place that I really enjoyed. The vibe was chill the food was good the beer was take home worthy

Great selection of quality craft beer. Brewery atmosphere was great. Had a large outside area to enjoy some beverages. Inside was very nice also. Staff was great and helpful. Filled my Growler with Thunder Chicken Maple Porter and grabbed some cans of Trail Juice (Highly recommend both!)Will definitely be back!

Just needed a quick meal for an overnight stay and found this little gem. Tasty food, moderate portions and nice micro- brewed beer.

Food and beer are excellent! And I'm very picky! I had the black bean burger salad and ordered a flight. Loved all five beers. Usually, I'm lucky if I like one beer. Go here!

Wish I had more to say. Showed up and less than half the seating was full. Around the bar was busy but table seating was almost empty. Took almost 10 minutes to be seated and once seated no one came to serve us. Three groups were seated after us. All had a server great them and take a drink order. Where we were seated we could see the servers hanging out behind the bar. After almost 10 minutes of no one coming to take any type of order we left. Place is beautiful and they had a great menu. But doesn’t matter if no one wants to serve you.

We decided to come tonight even though we were leaving half hour later than anticipated and planning on. I am glad we decided to come. We both got flights and dinner. I was really impressed with the pink lemonade hard seltzer and the trail juice aka blackberry ale from the flight of 5 I chose. My other half really liked the penn pale ale from his flight of 5. We both ended up choosing to go with a barrel aged option as our drink after dinner. He went with the Grapefruit IPA and I chose the Grand Cruz which was more of a sour which I love! He liked his Grapefruit IPA saying he would only be able to drink one and I loved the Grand Cruz! I got the gyro which was good I just wish the tzatziki sauce was more flavorful as it tasted like mayonnaise. The dill pickles were delicious! We both got the jalapeño mango coleslaw and loved it!!! He got the steak tacos which neither of us can say were delicious as they lacked something but the pesto style sauce was really good. He ordered a side of salsa and for 1.50 extra was not worth it as it was not homemade (which we do at home) it tasted like chi chis or something store bought. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again when the funds are there to come!

Pat and I had lunch today at the Bluestone Brewing Company, located on Pitney Street in South Waverly, just around the corner from the Hampton Inn. It is tastefully decorated in brewpub décor and offers a dozen tables of both standard and high top heights that seat 4-6 patrons. There are another dozen stools at the bar and a stand up bar, as well. With about a dozen taps on hand, the Bluestone offers craft beers for everyone’s taste. The lunch menu is more than sufficient as it offers 5 to 6 choices of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and salads. Pat ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich with ham, bacon, and cheese on a pretzel roll. I ordered the BBQ Bluestone Burger with sharp cheese and sautéed onions on a roll. It was perfectly cooked to a medium. Both came with chips as the side. We split the sandwiches so we could each sample two entrees. We agreed they were both of good flavor and quantity, as well as nice presentation. While Pat ordered her usual water, I had a flight of beer consisting of 1537 Imperial Blonde Ale, Wheat, Big Elk Amber, Penna Pale Ale, and Toasted Lager. Not being a fan of pale ales, the first three were very drinkable for my taste. Our interactions with a waitress in Christmas attire and one of the owners found them both to be very cordial and helpful. I would certainly recommend you give Bluestone Brewing a try for lunch or dinner when you visit the valley.

The best meal, best atmosphere and an awesome waitress at a reasonable price. The 'crack' cheese on the pulled pork nachos was to die for. The local wine was delicious. Wonderful night out with my daughter and her boyfriend!!

It is my 5th time and I'd have to say that even busy the food is really great, like the variety of specials and the beer is good too. The Octoberfest was perfect with my meal. Service is good even when busy, they make you feel welcome.

Had lunch and a beer yesterday. Food and drink were both superb. Great, friendly service. Nice atmosphere. One of the best places in the valley!

Industrial chic with cement floors and picnic tables. Pretty decent food and drink selection. Even have craft root beer and cream sodas on tap.

The atmosphere, service, food & beer were all fantastic. Most Brewery's these days have beer lists that are 5 to 1 heavy with IPA's vs everything else. Bluestone has a nice balance - the Elk Amber, Pumpkin Seasonal & Octoberfest were my favorites. I could not ask for more.

Awesome family owned & operated establishment. Fantastic beer & food. One of my favorite places to eat & drink!

Ordered blueberry lager and keg was kicked. Ordered blackberry wheat and keg was kicked. Ended up drinking lemon water because only IPA's were on tap. Ordered food and our server informed us that the big party outside was her main priority. Never got a refill of water during our meal. Server takes our plates and leaves the bill. She walks by us 3 times when we tell her that we are good. The fourth time she comes by my girlfriend has it out and brushes her away when she comes by. Had to go to the bartender to get checked out. Bottomline is food sucked, no beers available and foodservice sucked. Better places in the Valley to eat and drink at....
