Wow, this food was amazing! I always love trying new food and man this place hit the spot. I personally had the small jerk chicken along with a side of white rice and plantains. All for under $10. The variety is superb and the combinations are endless. I would have really loved if they were selling their rumcake by the slice, but I'll save up for my next visit to buy a whole cake. Just make sure you show up with a mask as you will need one to order food.
Great place to get Jerk Chicken on a buffet. The cabbage and Mac & Cheese are great sides. The service is just so so. The unsweetened ice tea was sweet but because it was labeled unsweetened I was wrong. Good thing the buffet is self serve. Nice ambiance here.
I moved here recently from Baltimore, which has a very large Caribbean diaspora. I was very spoiled, but this is the closest I have found to the delicious, authentic Jamaican food I am used to. Not to mention, it’s like half the price in Savannah! Huge portion for $12 — two jerk chicken breasts, and a ton of cabbage, and rice and peas. The woman even gave me extra jerk sauce without me having to ask! They also have tiny containers of yummy hot sauce that you can grab. Everyone was friendly and awesome. Just an overall great experience. Thank you sweet and spice for existing! 😂😊
*Something I forgot to mention — one of the chicken breasts was perfectly moist, while the other was dry and chewy. That’s on me though. It’s always a risk when you order chicken breast anywhere. There’s a reason why in Jamaica they only use thighs.
The Beef Stew was seasoned well and the beef was tender. I loved the rice and beans. The macaroni and cheese was cooked well and tasted good. My husband had the oxtails and they were delicious with the white rice, cabbage, and peas. The portion size for each dish was pretty good. We both had leftovers to take with us. Service was decent and the atmosphere was great for dining in; even though it is not very big in there. Good food at Sweet Spice!
The food was deliciously seasoned. Clean and restaurant with adequate seating. Super friendly waiter. Very tasty food! I had the brown stew chicken with fried dumplings and macaroni n cheese. My friend had jerk chicken with peas and brown rice. No black cake but looking forward to going back soon!
Tastes like home made food, great! Straight comfort food!!! Im a huge foodie. Ive had about many different types of food from at least 35 nationalities. I give food tours back home, so heres my opinion.
I was greeted as soon as i came in. Music is the perfect volume, i wouldnt go higher. Buffett has all the basics. Some of the food is a bit on the salty side, but its great! Im not complaining. Reasonably priced. I spent about $12, totally worth it.
On another note i would recommend the wait staff to be a bit more proactive on water refills. Just keeping it real and hoping you guys keep succeeding. I would come back and recommend people to go for the buffet.
Amazing, delicious, authentic Jamaican food. My favorite is the chicken curry with the sides of Mac and cheese and rice and peas. I also tried the beef patty for the first time and it 10/10- so flavorful and unforgettable. I wish it was a sit down place but maybe someday!

The best Jamaican restaurant in town. I get oxtails from here all the time! The owner is a nice guy!
Loved the food and customer service. Really good authentic jamaican dishes, and reasonably priced!
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I’ve ordered food from here several times and Sweet Spice never disappoints. The price is great and the portion servings are more than filling. The Ox tail taste amazing. If you are looking for something scrumptious and unique to eat than Sweet Spice is the place to be.
Thank you to the two young lady's at the counter . Just getting off and never been here I walked in and said just give me your best. Oktails was the best but I settled for curry chic. Mind you it was just before closing and they happily served me. Being new year eve I was expecting to rush service. But even the conversation was great and positive. Thank yall for a great start to a new year.
We stopped here for dinner on our way home from S Carolina and I'm so glad we found it! I've only really had food truck and quick serve Jamaican food and I like it, but this was great!
There were things on the menu that I was totally unfamiliar with, and I love to try new things! I had the oxtail with a side of cabbage and carrots and house made dumplings. My partner has the sampler (curry chicken, jerk chicken, and beef stew) with rice & peas and plantains.
Everything was fantastic! The oxtail was in a rich beefy broth/gravy packed with flavor that was perfect for dipping the slightly sweet dumplings.
Both chickens were fall off the bone tender and super flavorful.
The real star was the beef stew. Jamacan beef stew is not your grandma's beef stew! Rich and slightly sweet and slightly spicy....YUM!
Add plesant service to the experience and this is a winner!
Hands down my favorite restaurant in this city!
