Very polite and friendly servers with super great food. They’ve even got seating outside which is excellent if you’re out on a sunny day.
Go for the duck! It was scrumptious
Great burger, great service, great view. And just enough off the beaten track to make enjoyable. Did Sunday brunch and look forward to coming for dinner
On our way to Black Sand beach hike..we decided to take a stop at Le Garage for brunch. The location is perfect, near the docks facing the marina, siting next to it and having a good breakfast.. what more one needs to spend a wonderful morning with Friends.
Though we had a reservation, even then we had a wait a little. We ordered our dishes which to our delight were very tasty. Specially the Waffle.. we totally loved it. But for me the main highlight was the "Orange Juice". Initially one 2 of us ordered it(our of 7) and we tasted it and loved it. It might sound "meh -orange juice.. really??" but believe me ..it was so utterly fresh and refreshing that sooner there were orange juice for each one of us on our table.
We had also ordered "Crispy Panisse" which initially tasted very nice, but after 2 bites.. it was like "ok-ok" taste.
Other dishes we ordered were "Pain Perdu", "Gaufres" "Eggs Benedict" "Omelette" and "Duck Confit" and were all good.
Will definitely would like to visit this place for dinner sometime.
Great food -- great setting. I chose this restaurant for the destination of my (teenage) boys' and my bike ride fron SF across the GG Bridge and into Sausilito. It's on the far side of town, which we totally enjoyed (not touristy, and definitely had a local vibe). The food (7-hour ham sandwich, Croque Monsieur, quiche, seasoned fries, and desserts) was superb. The bread was the best we had during our 1-week stay in SF area. Of course, the beautiful weather sitting outside 15 feet from the boats in the marina helped make the day, too.
Very good food (Figs appetizer a must). Kind and helpful French waiter staff (don't believe negative reviews). Great ambiance and peaceful Marina setting. Would go again. Nothing like France. Ha!
Hidden treasure!. This place is very difficult to find if your not familiar with the area but it is well worth the search. The Kobe Burger is outstanding!!
Enjoyed lunch and dinner there. I am looking forward to going again. Merci
People who want real should eat at Le Garage. Take a hint from the name. The staff at Le Garage don't fawn over you. They are kind in the normal ways. The food is good in the solid ways, ample portions, blended and unique taste --definitely to be eatten after having exercised for the day, not before. If you make a suggestion -- it's usually inacted by the next time I visit and I visit often. The Coissants are to die for in the early morning after a row. They maintain the sanity of a European schedule for workers, with holidays even in the first year of business -- sorry folks families work here and they may be home with theirs on the major holidays.
Le Garage prices are reasonable in the context of the region and relatively cheap for brunch on Weekends. It's easy to get hung up having the same item on the menu because say, anything they serve with goat cheese, becomes addictive. But take a bite of someone elses food and explore Le Garage's full range.
If you don't like the sand don't go to the beach; Le Garage is only for you if you like real!
If the post doesn’t say it all, I have been diligently eating French toast for a while, trying to find the best! I don’t have a special preference for French toast, as you will see each one is so different, but they all offer a tasty and very memorable experience. If you haven’t been, these places shouldn’t be missed and if all you get to try is the French toast, trust me you’re not doing yourself a disservice...Le Garage $12 Their Pain Perdu, as Le Garage likes to refer to it, is made from brioche with crème fraiche and house-made berry compote. This French toast is very unique because the outside is a bit crisp while the inside is moist. The bread also holds the flavor and juices in really well so when you cut into it, you get a crispy, light...
Located in a complex facing the marina, Le Garage literally has industrial garage doors that can be rolled up or down depending on the weather and wind conditions... The Croque Madame was decadently rich between the cheese, sauce and the buttery brioche bread. The mixed green salad lightly dressed with a vinaigrette almost fooled us into thinking that the dish had some healthy aspects
It totally makes me excited to be able to introduce my sister Sarah as today guest blogger. I found a restaurant, Le Garage, in Sausalito for her to try out and she was kind enough to write up a review for the blog. We were surprised we had never been to/
We came here because of a blog we found online where it said the view was amazing, and it was good. I liked that it was not a crowded restaurant like the ones nearest to the ferry and the service was really nice. There are not that many options in the menu but what we ordered we liked.
The escargot were really tasty and the pasta was a little over cooked but the sauce was really good.
It’s a nice choice for a good weather day.
Wednesday lunch with my partner and a friend. Cute little spot that got pretty busy at 12 noon. We didn't do our research properly and were a little disappointed that they didn't serve their brunch menu on weekdays, but we still enjoyed what we got from the regular lunch menu. My steak was a little tough, but the flavor was good. We enjoyed the ambience and liked the little pumpkins on the tables.
Had a salad (nothing special), steak Babette which was delicious and prepared as ordered. It was bigger than expected. Fries were ok, should have been a bit warmer. Chocolate dessert was delicious! Service was very good.
Title: A Casual Fusion of French and American Delights
Review:
Le Garage in Sausalito is a casual haven that seamlessly blends the flavors of French and American cuisine. The relaxed ambiance, coupled with a touch of elegance, creates a welcoming setting for diners of all ages.
Nestled by the boats, the restaurant exudes a laid-back charm, making it an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy a leisurely meal without sacrificing quality. It's the kind of place where you can savor a delicious fusion of French and American dishes in a comfortable and unpretentious environment.
Adding to its appeal is the dog-friendly atmosphere, allowing pet owners to relish their meal in the company of their four-legged friends. The waterside location adds a scenic backdrop, enhancing the overall dining experience.
One of the standout features of Le Garage is its affordability. Despite offering a fusion of culinary delights, the prices remain reasonable, making it accessible to a diverse clientele. This makes it a go-to spot not just for special occasions but also for casual dining when you crave a mix of French and American flavors.
During my visit, the service was outstanding, contributing to the overall positive impression. The staff, including our amazing waitress, ensured that the casual charm extended to the dining experience, making it both enjoyable and memorable.
Le Garage's fusion of French and American cuisines in a casual setting makes it a versatile choice for various occasions. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating a milestone, or just enjoying a relaxed meal, this restaurant offers a menu that caters to diverse tastes without breaking the bank. I'm looking forward to revisiting on my next trip to the area and indulging in their delightful fusion once again.

I don't like a lot of dressing in my salad, but this salad seemed to have no dressing at all. The soup was hearty, I would prefer a bit more liquid. Overall the place was lovely.
DELICIOUS!!!! Service was impeccable and the food was sublime. Located right on a marina, the atmosphere was fabulous. We had the mussels, salmon Benedict, tuna salad, and the salmon galette. So good!!! Highly recommend!
A nice experience overall! The restaurant setting is very lovely, being right on the water, and they've created a great outdoor patio seating area. The food was very tasty, nothing out-of-this-world but good quality and flavors. The Bouillabaisse was my favorite dish we tried. The seafood was cooked well and the sauce was just amazing. The service was great - we were seated right away (we did make a reservation) and had very friendly servers assisting us throughout our evening.
Great food. Onion soup was spot on. Everything is delicious.. Chickpea fries were unique.. loved it. They also have all coffee options.. French toast only available in weekend. Not much vegetarian options but salad is delicious.. mix and match…
They do have parking, end of the parking lot is dedicated for restaurant customers.. reserve early.. we got luck as we found a table even without reservation. They have inside and outside seating.. harbor view.. keep some space for dessert menu.. 💜💜
Great views, service , and food. Very friendly staff from host to wait staff. Food and drinks were great.
Weather happened to be perfect that day too. Sat outside.
Away from the tourist traps in Sausalito is this gem of a French bistro. It’s hidden away at a marina. Industrial-chic bistro serving basic French food in a converted garage. How cool is that! The servers are dressed like car mechanics as well.
The Mediterranean vibe is alluring. It transports you to another country immediately.
The menu consists of basic French bistro dishes. Not too complicated. Soups, salads, tarte, sandwiches and a few hot dishes. It’s sufficient.
Onion soup was as expected with a thick crust of cheese on top.
Salad Nicoise had chunks of pan seared tuna on it! Nice!
Mussels in a garlicky white wine sauce was a treat. Fresh, tasty and not overly salty. Ask for bread to soak up the sauce.
Bouillabaisse was super as well. Fresh seafood in the broth. Topped by a slice of garlic bread.
Green beans had a slight char which elevated the umami taste.
It’s a great place for a “getaway “ feeling. Great food and atmosphere. Go chill out and have a great meal!
The place is in a nice location with good vibe. But I would only give 3 star for the food. The Galettes is bland and has a crumbly texture. Everything is just average…. I would not go back.
Le Garage is a hidden gem! Despite the rainy day, the experience was stellar. The limited menu didn't disappoint - our steak 🥩 and lamb 🐑 were exquisite. The wine 🍷 selection complemented the meal perfectly. The positive vibes made it an unforgettable evening. Five stars without a doubt!
I'd made reservations two weeks in advance so we were able to be seated immediately upon arrival. The SO loved the mussels while I got the Eggs Benedict, which was pretty good too. It was the weekend so they only offered a more limited brunch menu, which excluded some French dishes. Also, note that the restaurant parking is through the gated marina lot, in an inside fenced area, that is valet-only. Overall, it was a delicious lunch. Lots of people were there but service was quite speedy!
If you found a bistro like this in Paris, you would be very happy. Although well known for brunch, we have been coming here for years for dinner and it has always exceeded our expectations. On our last visit, the onion soup gratinee was terrific, savory and not overly sweet. And the bouillabaisse was excellent- using locally available seafood ingredients of course. I also appreciate the availability of champagne by the glass and an excellent baguette. The service was very professional and friendly- attentive without being overbearing. It is a little hard to find- but if you drive down to the harbor you are rewarded with beautiful views of Sausalito and the San Francisco Bay with your meal.
Super nice and beautiful restaurant by the water. We came for Saturday brunch and it was so popular that we waited about 20 minutes for our table. I highly recommend the classic dish - croque madame. It’s just so perfect. We also ordered the steamed mussels, the white sauce probably is the best one I’ve ever had. I also loved their two wine drinks - kir, they are strong and tasty.
Service was a bit slow but made for the perfect brunch spot! Enjoyed the delicious food and drinks. Great views and the perfect spot to grab a meal after walking and shopping around town!
Interesting spot for French food. All the dishes we ordered were quite tasty. Portions were generous.
I came here to try and get seated right away for outdoor seating, but no heat around, it was cold, and the food got out fast.
The server recommended I try the garlic mussel, and it was great but a bit salty with a saltiness level of 8/10.
