My wife, son, I are in town from Florida visiting family. We come up twice a year and this is the 1st time we have been to Pure Country. My mom took us there for breakfast yesterday and it was amazing!! I ordered the cowboy killer omelet and ordered the Hillibilly as well. Wasn't able to come close to finishing it. Didn't realize the helpings were so big. Needless to say I had the Hillbilly leftover for breakfast this morning. Service and food was great. We will definitely make this place a permenent stop when we are home to visit!!!!!

Great food, prices are good, and the portions are big! Excellent, happy, efficient wait staff who always have a smile on their faces even when super busy. The only bad thing is there is always a wait, but worth it! More tables would be a huge asset! We watched 12 customers leave on one night while we were waiting for our table. Keep up the great work!!!

We have been coming to Pure Country since they opened, and have always been very happy with their food, and especially their service. This past mothers day, my family took me out to breakfast, and of course we came here. It was a little busy, but we only waited a few minutes. A young lady took us to a table that would seat 8. It was just the four of us but we thought hey, at least we got a table! After we were seated and got our coffee and drinks, the waitress had asked us if we could move to a table of 4 which was more suiting for us, seeing as that there were bigger families coming in. We said of course! We are a pretty laid back family and we are not easily angered or annoyed, and anything we can do to help them serve their customers better is definitely in our interest too! After we finished our meal (which was awesome like always!), our waitress told us "Since you guys were so sweet and willing to move tables for us, I'm covering your meal. Happy Mothers Day!" Not only was that a great start to my mother's day, it goes to show that great customer service is out there! And this is not the first time they have done something like this for us! We truly love you guys, and we will miss you when we move this summer! And thank you again!

Delicious, made "from scratch" food, with delightful, attentive and friendly customer service. My mom and I enjoyed our lunch, and will most definitely be back frequently, particularly when the dinner menu starts being served. Bonus - breakfast is served all day! If you want great food at good prices with top-notch customer service, plan to visit Pure Country Family Restaurant soon. Your taste buds and tummy will thank you!

A really delicious breakfast. I had the cowboy killer, which was great and filling. The hostess that sat us seemed a little frustrated or upset, maybe having a bad morning, but the tone she used made it feel that way. The waitress was super friendly and kind. This will be our new breakfast spot when we go out for breakfast.

Seems to be a local favorite, and after dining there, I can understand why. We were there for a late breakfast and it was full, with a line out the door. Food was fabulous comfort food, with huge portions. Affordable prices and great service. Would recommend!

Stopped in for breakfast. Food portions were big. The sausage gravy was great. The hashbrowns were perfect. I got the cowboy killer omelet. It was delicious. Maybe could have used more jalapeños. Our server was a bit quick to leave our table as they were busy. My wife had questions or needed something and could not even voice her request. I only saw 1 person come around for coffee refills and at the time i did not need one. Over all it was still a good breakfast experience. Our kids were thilled with the kids pancakes and loved the faces on them. Will return in the future.

While planning our family U.P. summer excursion, this restaurant made the list of possible stops while in Sault Saint Marie (it was literally in sight of our hotel). We were not disappointed. Initially, the understated exterior put my hopes for dinner in check until we walked in and were seated by a friendly waitress. The main room is very spacious and welcoming. The staff was especially warm and accommodating. Since it was the first night in the U.P., I ordered a Pasty... it was homemade and good (although the crust was a bit too 'bready' for my taste). I especially appreciated the rutabaga! My wife ordered a chicken wrap that was smokey and delicious. The girls had a cheeseburger and hotdog -- both were gobbled up. The portions were very large and no-one left hungry. Will definitely return whenever near the Soo again.

Food is delicious! Came here on a whim and got french toast, over medium eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, pancakes, toast, and a waffle! Pancakes were a great texture, eggs were cooked perfect, wheat toast was sooo good, and the biscuits and gravy were to die for. Filling, quick, relaxed, and the people here are awesome! Laura especially was so attentive, kind, and welcoming! I felt like family. Probably the most at home I've felt at any Sault Ste. Marie restaurant 🥰 Thank you so much!

The restaurant in town for home style cooking. The western theme is cute. The employees are polite, and check often if you need anything. Something for everyone. Small children to your great Gramma will get filled up on delicious food. I didn't go into the saloon part, but I trust it is as charming.

Never been here before. Stopped in for breakfast because it was right across from our hotel. Very friendly staff. The food was so good we are going back tomorrow! Huge portions, homemade bread, great sausage gravy! I didnt have lunch or dinner but the menu looks good. Theres a lounge attached for cocktails in the evening. We will be back every time we go to The Soo.

What a great place to eat!! Fast, friendly service, and the food...over the top tasty!! We happen to be staying in a cabin over the 4th of July this year in Paradise, Michigan; and went further into White Fish Point, when we found this little gem through Google search. Thinking about not wanting to cook at our cabin in 85°F temps, we ordered this Extra Hungry Man breakfast. It came with everything...literally several plates each full of food!! When it came, I requested several to go boxes; that's when we found out we were eating their "challenge". It wasn't listed as such, (that we noticed), and were told they don't do take homes of this meal because it's a challenge. After a bit of humor...the entire place was now in "the know", they were all as amazed as we were to see a full table of food, and it would go to waste if they didn't let us take home leftovers....i don't know how anyone could eat that much honestly., and it was only $15.00 per meal...super cheap!! We want to thank everyone there for the great food, good laughs, clean restrooms, clean establishment, and the makers of to go boxes. I highly recommend checking this place out....see if you're up to the challenge.

I read some reviews telling the place is famous for breakfast. I went there Sunday around 12:30 looking for lunch. They have a great menu option for entrée, but unfortunately I could not try it (available just after 3pm). The place closes from 1pm -3pm. I tried the fried shrimp and the white fish. I would prefer something grilled, but there weren't nothing available at the time frame I was there, neither soup or dessert.

On our trip to the U.P. Michigan I stopped for gas in S.S.Marie. I asked the guy inside about places to eat off the tourist trail. He said he takes his wife the Pure Country to eat. We took his suggestion and made our way over. It's a country diner, great food, service plenty of both. They advertised "best breakfast in S.S.Marie" my opinion, one of the best anywhere!! Wife had whitefish sand. and onion rings. I had biscuits and sausage gravy, hash browns and swiss cheese on top, more gravy and two eggs on top of it all!! Make sure you visit this excellent restaurant and ask for Laura, she was great.
