Review Pennyroyal Cafe & Provisions - Saugatuck

I finally managed to drop by Pennyroyal after driving by it for the last few years, and I’m glad I did. My friends and I enjoyed a great lunch there. I ordered the johnnycakes and a cafe miel, and my friends had the smoked brisket sandwich and the cheese omelet. Everything looked and tasted great. Service was good and the space was comfortable and snug. Their baked goods looked and tasted amazing, and their bacon bun was like an American bao. I’ll definitely be recommending Pennyroyal to my other friends going forward.

Atmosphere is amazing. Walk up window to order delicious coffee & baked items. Fabulous outdoor garden to eat while there is my favorite. Small indoor area to eat too. Breakfast was great. My patty melt was the best I’ve ever had. Perfect place to charge electric car too and enjoy outdoor cocktail

What a hidden gem! We had lunch in their beautiful outdoor dining area. My husband had the Farmers scramble and I had the whitefish melt. Talk about flavor and seasoning! Every bite was bursting with flavor and the chef’s use of seasoning is spot on. While waiting for our food we toured the little provisions store, too fun. Coincidentally we had dinner the same day as another restaurant we had plans to eat at was closed for repairs. We didn’t have a reservation and the staff totally understood our predicament and got us a table before the kitchen closed at 9. Being so accommodating made our entire experience fun for our little group. We’ll be back for sure :)

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Every bite of every item was amazing. Can't wait to go back and will drive from Chicago regularly just to enjoy this as often as possible.

I got the Deluxe breakfast and my partner got the Country Hash and it was absolutely amazing! The service was fabulous and it was absolutely darling space. I got the Chai Latte and my partner got the London Fog and we could not get over how scrumptious they were. If you are looking for a delicious/sweet joint to eat some good food, look no further!!

I don’t write reviews often but I wanted to write one for one of our favorite stops on Michigan road trips from Chicago. We have been here a few times and we LOVE the Croissant Monte Cristo. They are often busy but it’s because the food is good! Shelly was our hostess and she was very kind and gave our dog TWO treats. Our waitress was Gaby who was very nice and attentive as well. Good eats, good vibes, and good music. Highly recommend Pennyroyal and we’ll keep coming back!

Amazing brunch spot! We were seated at the counter and I really enjoyed watching the chefs make the amazing made from scratch dishes. The croissant monte cristo is decadent! The Penny Royal breakfast was also very good.

I love Pennyroyal. It takes me back to Europe with the croissants, bread and pastries. It isn't an American truck stop place so if that's what you're looking for, you'll want to find a different option. Breakfast is the perfect size and be sure to add on potatoes with the sandwiches. If the weather is nice, opt to sit in the patio area. I've never had dinner here, but I'm sure it's delicious, too!

This place makes a hell of a sandwich. They have a decent beer/cider selection as well. You will not regret stopping here. I had the BLT on sourdough. It is the best BLT I have had to date. Cheers.

Comfortable and rustic atmosphere. Visiting in the spring brings the smell of lilac in the air. Food was good and the host was hilarious. Minor complaint is the single bathroom servicing the entire place, which means it is always occupied
