Stopped by The Butler after our original reservation down the street was "canceled" due to the restaurant filling capacity.
The food was good! Everything was generally underseasoned, but it was still good. The shrimp basket really was great -- the shrimp are huge, cooked well, and very crunchy. The fries and onion rings were a big hit at the table.
The crab stuffed mushrooms were delicious! The mushrooms were firm and fresh. The spinach and artichoke dip was cheesy and went well with the toast points.
Dinner on an extremely rainy Friday evening. View was wonderful. Had the crab stuffed mushroom appetizer. Loads of crab but not seasoned enough. It needed some sort of acid like lemon to put it over the ordinary. Husband ordered a burger medium rare. Came out perfect. He said lots of flavor in the beef. Was pleased with it. He is not fan of coated fries which is what they served with it. I had the crab stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Large portion. I found the potatoes to be a bit blend and extremely dry. The chicken was moist and had lots of crab but again, not very well seasoned in my opinion. The asparagus was delicious. The Waitress was just delightful. We were not offered dessert menu and was given the bill however my husband did ask what they had available. After seeing the list we just paid the bill. It was a pleasant enough experience. Nothing 'wow' about it.
