Whoa. This place has some fantastic steaks. Also, please order the au gratin potatoes. They were so darn good. Food was top notch and service was excellent. The location is pretty small and it is reservation only. Will definitely come back again. 10/10

Incredible food. Had the brussels and belly, fillet and flourless chocolate cake. Maybe the best fillet I've ever had. Server, Lane, was really good too. It is pricey. Our wine was spectacular, $90, total bill went to $250 + tip for two. Would totally go here again.

Visited last night for dinner and had the best time. Great atmosphere, amazing food/ drinks, and lovely staff! Lee, our server, had great energy and was very knowledgeable regarding the menu. We will definitely be back in the future, and I promise we won’t miss count our bills again! (Sorry Lee) lol

Expectations were high for our first time at this fine restaurant in Saugatuck. Since opening in 2017 we seemed to perfect our procrastination tendencies, finally pulling the trigger on what proved to be a wonderful dining experience May 16th, 2023 ... Our server - Lane - struck a perfect balance, being attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent guidance on the available choices. The food was excellent ... well prepared & presented in appealing & ample portions (the lobster mac & cheese was INCREDIBLE!). Highly recommend for any special occasion ...

My husband and I went here for a date night and were absolutely blown away. The planning was poor on our part, but we were lucky enough to get in last minute. Everything from the food to the drinks to the service was outstanding. Elijah was friendly, attentive, and took his time giving us menu recommendations as well as recommendations on what to do around town. Besides being one of the best meals we have had, Elijah provided THE BEST service we have ever had. We started with the oysters, which were not on the menu. They came with a delicious mignonette which I wish more places would offer! Next we moved onto the grilled Caesar. The grilled aspect was a nice touch and really added to the flavor. Our main course consisted of Filets, Mushrooms, and Au Gratin Potatoes which were delicious and cooked perfectly. My sister and brother-in-law ended up going a couple of days later after hearing us rave about our experience, and the also couldn't speak highly enough about theirs! Bowdie's will be a must anytime we visit the area in the future!

Hands down the best steak I've had so far. Dry aged and USDA prime is where it's at. The steak was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and every bite was heaven on earth. Side dishes are amazing and plentiful, too. The lobster Mac and cheese was perfect. The mushrooms were excellent with that garlic and vinegar finish. This restaurant is worth the price. Will definitely come back here for every special occasion.

We were married that day and was able to snag a last minute reservation, but had to sit at the bar for dinner. Boy, we are so glad we did! We wouldn't have met the most excellent Bartender and wouldn't have met some of the most wonderful people sitting there! Oh, the food was perfect ...melt in your mouth steaks and a shrimp cocktail to die for. It was a great, unexpected, wedding celebration! However, the friendliness of the waitstaff, salespeople, shop owners and most of all, the people is always something I can expect in Saugatuck. That has not changed since my first and subsequent visits for the past 30+ years.

One of the top 3 steakhouses in West Michigan, hands down. Everything is a little pricey compared to others, but the food quality, timing of courses and professionalism of the staff is top shelf. It's a very small restaurant, so reservations are a must. Parking can be tough.

We (9 of us) dined at the new Lansing location on 12/2 to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a PHENOMENAL experience! I've had some of the best steaks, living in Dallas for a period of time, and Bowdies was better than any steak I've had before! Sides were delicious as well - my favorite was the truffle fries. Tyler (server and part owner) was very knowledgeable about their steaks and menu and spent extra time with us. Wines and drinks were also spot. Highly, highly recommend Bowdies for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to the best steak in Lansing - BY FAR!

Dinner started with Crab Cake appetizer which was awesome.... wedge salad with blue cheese and carmelized bacon, filet for wife, and bone in rib eye, sautéed whole mushrooms, au gratin potatoes... dessert was the most incredible bread pudding ever. All in all, could not have picked a better place, or better prepared food, for our 30th wedding anniversary.....simply amazing food and attention to detail. We will be back again !!

I had the ribeye and all the sides. The steak has the best flavor. By the way, all the sides were shared by 7 and I and wife split the steak. The check was split 3 ways !

Ok... we eat lots of very good steaks... and drink lots of very good wines (or so we think).... BUT wow - Bowdies Chop House and our server Melanie - OUT-F'ING-STANDING. Tiny tiny place - HUGE service and amazing food. The Tomahawk Steak - did NOT disappoint. It's a Must DO next time you are in town. �����

We had the most perfect night to sit outside with our son and his wife. Wonderfully crafted cocktails and shrimp appetizer while we people-watched. Then each couple split the cowboy ribeye, along with Brussels, truffle fries, au gratins, and the most amazing caprese salad. Melanie, who is the most awesome server in America, decided we had waited a bit long for the steak, so dessert was on the house. Creamy key lime pie and beignets with warm caramel, hot fudge and blueberry sauces topped off our most delicious meal! Looking forward to the next “special occasion “!!!🍹🥩🤗🎉

From start to finish a BIG WOW� ceviche was excellent, wedge Caesar salad so tasty, filet steak melted in our mouths, bottle of Malbec wine super delicious, and the bread pudding 'to die for'�staff is efficient, Melanie was great as our server, loved everything else about this intimate restaurant tucked into a small house! It made my 68th birthday so memorable! We WILL Be back���

Went to the new Lansing location and to date this was one of the best steak I’ve tasted and I’ve been to chop houses in Vegas, Chicago to Toronto. The bone in Cowboy Ribeye was cooked to perfection, the sides were nothing short of gourmet and the service was absolutely first class. Outstanding.

What a wonderful surprise!! Excellent food and drink - wonderful staff - Jeffery was our server - very knowledgeable, warm and attentive. Small, Sony atmosphere. A must if you are dining in the area.

It was our first time at Bowdie’s - and we loved it! We were seated upstairs and were quite impressed! So comfortable! And our waiter, Jeffrey, was so attentive and very informative! The menu is outstanding! You will not be disappointed!!

Made reservation 2 days in advance for a 9 pm dinner. We didn't get sit until 9:15 pm. Our waitress didn't get our drinks until 9:47 pm. Didn't even say sorry. We decided to leave and never done that before. We will never go back.

This is literally the best steak I've ever had. I'm going to buy a place in Saugatuck so I can have this steak more often.

Our filets were perfection and my Manhttan was the best I've ever had. Seriously, this restaurant is special. We will not visit Saugutuck without an evening at Bowdies. First class venue!
