Grillsmith - Siesta Key Gateway

The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and I feel like I really receive value for my money when I visit this place. The ribeye is to die for, cooked perfectly, and melts in your mouth. Don’t forget to have them add some crumbled, melted blue cheese over the top of it, and a side of sautéed mushrooms. It’s like you’ve died and gone to heaven.

What a beautiful thing Grillsmith did for Veteran's Day! We are regular customers of Grillsmith, and were only in a week ago. When we were leaving, my husband saw the flyer about the Veteran's Day offer and we reserved a table. He ordered his favorite dinner, and he said it was the most delicious filet he had eaten in a long time. Our server Nicholas was very attentive, despite having to deal with the crowds. I know it is an investment on their part to cover those meals, and they could have "cheated" with the caliber of the meat. But they did not! And hopefully, the older customers who took part in Korea, Viet Nam, any of the Gulf Wars -- or even peacetime service -- who surrounded us last night will remember this gesture on their behalf the next time they want to celebrate.

We see this restaurant all the time when shop in the area. Based on location and the building not looking any different than any other restaurant, we have never stopped in. WHAT A MISTAKE ON OUR BEHALF. This place was FANTASTIC!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted quickly and kindly. It was early so we didn't have to wait for a table. The waiter was wonderful! My husband being a chef is difficult to please food wise. The waiter took his time to make recommendations, and he did not disappoint. The food was out standing. It was so nice to see portions not super sized, so half would end up in the trash or that we would over eat. Yet we were fully satisfied and delighted with the amazing food. I went with French toast as I love breakfast food! My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. We had such a wonderful experience. The restaurant restrooms were very clean. A big pet peve of mine. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Only this time for dinner. If you haven't been, Go. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is now one of my favorite go-to places.

Husband and I went there on a Monday night and were seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter was Dean and he was so much fun. He offered suggestions and I took his suggestion of the Bourbon Blackberry drink. Yummy. Then we ordered the Ahi Tuna starter...😋😋😋 We ordered 8 oz sirloin steak for hubby and I got the skirt steak. OMG both were so good. We had ordered a bottle of red wine for dinner, JAM was the brand. We did not get dessert because we were full. Dean and Jillian did come over and we had an awesome conversation. They were so nice and funny. We will definitely be back whenever we are on town. Thank you Dean and Jillian for making our night a pleasure.

Came here for my moms birthday dinner, we loved it! We were visiting Sarasota for the weekend and didn’t realize we needed a reservation almost everywhere we called. Found this spot on maps and we were so happy with this decision. I ordered the salmon with jasmin rice, delicious! My mom and boyfriend got some steaks and they were very happy with their meals. Our waiter was also kind and kept up with our table even after being their for awhile. Drinks, food, dessert 10/10 highly recommend.

My friend and I specifically came for the ribs. On a Thursday evening, we were surprised at how busy it was. For alcohol order something simple. It'll be faster. The rolls that come with dinner are a little too good I'm afraid. The full rack of ribs was crazy. In retrospect I should've asked for more sauce but they were very accommodating anytime. You wanted some thing. The potato au gratin was amazing And the sautéed spinach was great. I was a little disappointed with my cocktail, but it was something no one ever asked for. And, it was my birthday, so the very friendly and good waiter, Trevor? Showed up with a huge piece of Keylime pie for us to share. Thank you! I really needed those calories after that dinner ha ha.
