Quick, easy and reliable. Buffets typically offer a nice selection of food at a reasonable cost and it is ready as soon as you can grab a plate. New Dynasty is all those things. You can eat your fill and more for around ten dollars, depending on whether it is lunch or dinner. I stopped in for dinner.

It was not my first visit, we had been going to New Dynasty for lots of years as the kids grew up, but stopped several years ago. I knew in my heart of hearts that if I went back now that I’m playing restaurant reviewer, I’d have to report the food isn’t that great, and I didn’t want to do that. Now with Urbanspoon coming to an end I knew it was time.

The food isn’t that great. But it is a Chinese buffet and no worse than what you would normally find elsewhere. They don’t have a massive number of stations but they have a good selection, I’ve never left hungry and didn’t again tonight. It actually brought back some good memories, the place has not changed in decades, except I think they got a new soft-serve ice cream dispenser.

New dynasty chinese restaurant. Prelude:
I didn't eat the night before, nor did I eat breakfist.. I was starving as I stared at the clock.. waiting for 11'o'clock to approach. I knew I was going to get my feast on, but wasn't sure if I should try New Dynasty or the neighbor Mrs. Chens. I hadn't been to either in years so I dialed 411 and got the number of both restaurants. New Dynasty charged $6.50, thirdy cents more than Mrs. Chen's, but speaking to person on the phone that sounded less chinese than myself confirmed my decision. New Dynasty here I come.

Some people have a sweet tooth, thats nice. I have 32 sweet teeth, so you can imagine what my first plate of food looks like. I was disapointed when I found myself looking at a desserts section without the miniature cakes I was accustom to seeing at chinese buffets. The standard coconut pastery was there, I grabbed a couple and filled up my two plates with a little of everything. I ended up drowning the coconut treats in my icecream to soften them. They were hard, but I tasted some from a different batch on my fourth or fifth plate, and they were much better. New Dynasty offered a large variety of chicken dishes. Some of the ones that really stood out was the BBQ chicken-on-a-stix, the chicken wings, baked chicken wrapped in bacon, genoral tso's, and oh did I mention the chicken wings? I couldn't get enough of them, maybe they knew a wing fanatic was coming so they brought out a fresh batch. I raided the wings, dipping them into a dessert dish I filled with bleu cheese salad dressing. While I was at the salad I tried some of the egg salad concoction which I enjoyed very much. The cheese/spinach dish was suprisingly delicious as well. The soft serve icecream was great, I broke apart the sugar coated chinese doughnut into chunks with the icecream. A few different items I found here was a custard-like-pudding, the top was toasted, I thought of it as a poor man's creme brulee. You could really taste the egg in the dish, which isn't a bad thing but was unexpected. I would recommend coming to New Dynasty. For $6.50 (lunch price on a Friday) you get alot. I can't tell you if its better than Mrs. Chen's though, expect a Mrs. Chen's review coming soon!

Ordered wanton soup and to go plate. The soup was very good. The food was tasty with the exception of the general chicken; dried out. The to go plate & cup for dessert were small so eating in would have given me more bang for my bucks! Or, learn the craft of packing a to go plate. Otherwise, clean bright open environment.

Just dropped in one day to check it out. Now, I look forward to the experience, again. The courses, soups and desserts are well done. Note: I am a vegetarian.

amazing experience every time we go there! Has some of the tastiest wonton soup in the city. :) the service was very nice, when me and my dad went we were the last customer and our server offered us a box of chicken and rice on the house. Wish we got his name. It was very generous and overall a calming night. Come here for authentic buffet food of good quality!!

Nice and peaceful atmosphere, extremely clean and people social distanced. The food selection is what you'd expect from any China buffet and it was all fresh and flavorful. Will definitely stop by for lunch here again.

Very organized with their reopening from Covid-19. Food is fresh and out out in smaller quantities. You are required to dish out with a glove. Masks are used while not able to be 6 feet distances. The food serving equipment was wiped down twice in my visit that I saw. Thank you for staying on top of sanitation!! Food is AMAZING. Not one thing that I tried disappointed me, which says a lot from a picky person like me. Staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and organized. Will be a customer for a while now. :)

I've been dining at New Dynasty since it first opened in 1998; the year I graduated. I've been a loyal customer for 22 years now. I love their selection of food and enjoy interacting with the friendly staff. They are by far the cleanest Chinese buffet I've ever eaten at. In a sense, I feel like I grew up with this place. I'll be heart broken if they close down....

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, probably closer to 12 or 13 years. We have always loved this place. The staff are personable and have always been kind and accommodating. Their food is tasty, as it always has been, and they keep the place clean and tidy.

One of the nicest Chinese buffets I've seen. The food is always good, plentiful, tasty and the variety is a large one. The steam tables are kept sparkling clean and full of food. The staff has always been accomodating and friendly. We usually visit with a group on Sunday after church and one of us is gluten averse. The host was kind enough to point out all the gluten free entrees. As Arnold said, "I'll be back!"
