Tavern On Main

On August 3rd, 2019, Belleville Township High School East Class of 1979 celebrated their 40th High School Reunion at the Tavern on Main. I cannot say enough how wonderful the experience was working with Mark and his team as they went the extra mile to bring this special event together. The food was incredible and at a very reasonable price! We heard nothing but outstanding comments from the attendees about the venue and many are already looking forward to the next gathering we will have in five years. Tavern on Main is the place to have any medium to large event in a casual and friendly environment. Do not be disappointed with the outcome of your party by going somewhere else. Call Mark and reserve the night so his team can make it a truly memorable experience that no one will ever forget.

Tavern on Main has been my favorite bar to hang out for the year I lived in FL. Lots of nights spent with buddies, drinking brews, and making memories. Bar tenders are friendly and seem like an old friend. It was just a space that the environment was entirely created by the clientele. It wasn’t anything special, but it was my consistent and familiar fallback. The Tavern was like your favorite hoodie. Nothin special, but made you feel like you were home. I’m definitely going to miss this place.

The best little beer joint since the Village Idiot closed down in the East Village, NYC. Tavern has it all: hot bartenders, cold beer, a smooth pool table, great tunes; including live professional music, open mic & karaoke nights. But beyond the indoor & outdoor seating & hundreds of beer selections, Tavern has really incredible Italian food such as pizza, calzone, meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, pasta & salads, ideally served until after midnight or whenever the crowd disburses. Come on down and save me a seat at the bar!

Just what a tavern should be. Great selection of cold beers, on draught and in bottles and cans. Friendly bartender, very accommodating. We had a delicious Hawaiian pizza, excellent toppings and a thin , crispy crust. Best spot on Main Street for afternoon beers and ACC tournaments basketball watching. Go BC!!

Pretty good beer selection and some of the staff are very knowledgeable. Not the greatest bar, but I wouldn't judge them by the sticker they had on the door. It also said "No Hipsters", but they still served plenty of them. Have a small sense of humor, people. Also, the homeless factor in downtown Sarasota (on that corner specifically) can be a little much...

Best craft beer bar in downtown Sarasota. I haven't had a chance to try out the pizza, but everyone is raving about it. You can ignore the negative reviews. They're mostly from people from outside of town who were "mad online" about a bar sign when they didn't know anything about the bar. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
