Awesome European bakery. Fabulous crusty breads and a delicious raisin bread. Danishes are delicious and actually have fruit in them. Cheese danish was also old school delicious. The pretzels would be great on game day!!!

they have the best European style bread to the person that complains about touching bread without gloves: obviously you have never been to bakery in Germany or other European places no one there ever wears gloves obviously you are st.....ped we love this bakery so ha mara please dont come back go to Walmart quit badmouthing this beutifull bakery ha mara shut up

Hands down best German bread I’ve ever eaten in the US. I grew up in Germany and it’s every bit as good as the best German bakeries in Germany. True, authentic taste and no additives. They rye sourdough is just water, rye and heirloom sourdough. Delicious!

I was so glad to find a place that made fresh bread! The bakery closed at noon, but there was still one nice sized loaf in the shape that I needed, also poppyseed rolls which were loaded with poppyseeds that did not fall off, and even a hamburger whole wheat bun. We were only in Sarasota for a week, else I would stop by there a lot. I toasted slices from the large loaf, which turned out to be so delicious. The price was right, and the person waiting on me was very helpful. I recommend this bakery as “the real thing”.

I never buy bread in the grocery bread aisle or bakery. There is just no comparison. The hours are 7-12. Go early for the best selection. Get lucky and it may still be warm.

Hand down the best bread in Sarasota. This is where I go if I'm visiting friends and want to bring a small gift for the host. Treat yourself to the rosemary loaf.
