Came for shawarma today and the place is EMPTY!
I come here everytime I'm in Sarasota.
Please tell me it's not true!
Food was excellent, shawarma was more than worth the drive from Bradenton.
Grape leaves were a very good starter.
Recommend you go!!
An update from a year ago... we have been visiting regularly and the food continues to impress! Today was kibbeh and shawarma and the Mrs had a gyro. Simply wonderful.
Up the rating to 5 stars as this place cannot be beat!

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants ever. Did exceed our expectations by far. Real delicious home made food. Great hospitality. Can't ask for more. We kept ordering food just because it was delicious not because we were hangry.

Got another absolutely exquisite meal at my favorite mediterranean cafe. Nothing ever beats family-owned, hole-in-the-wall spots. The place is always peaceful: the husband usually has soccer playing at a super low volume while he makes the orders and the wife is an absolutely lovely hostess. The feeling of calmness and quiet I experience in there rivals libraries and orthodox sanctuaries.
We ordered greek salad with a sublime dressing, shankleesh with pita, gyros, and pistachio baklava. The food smells incredible and is so fresh it tastes bright. I can't wait to come back.

The lentil soup was lacking salt in my opinion. Everything else was AMAZING!!! I ordered lentil soup, grape leaves, the Kafka kebab plate, mixed appetizer, schawarma, and vegetable soup. This has been my go-to lunch restaurant in Sarasota for probably 10 years. Everything is fantastic especially the shawarma sandwich. The owners are there every day and are some of the friendliest people on the planet. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

What a delight this place is....super friendly folks and delicious, authentic Mediterranean food made fresh. It's surprising how low their prices are for the quality and taste. I should be embarrassed to have only just visited this gem considering they've been there for 14 years.

Excellent. The best Falafel in town! Fresh and not greasy! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Absolute lovely Husband and wife couple team up as chef and front of the house to bring authentic food at great prices. Very vegan friendly. The owners are seriously the nicest people you will ever meet. The food might take a little while because the owner does all the cooking himself but, it is well worth the wait. Do not expect great atmosphere but, it is very clean. This place never disappoints.

Best Mediterranean food in the area! Freshest ingredients, best tasting. Falafel
Dish was unbelievably awesome. Homemade tzatziki sauce was incredible. Fresh cucumbers and dill in the salad. people working were nice. Only strange thing is people kept going into the back of the kitchen.
