Whole Foods Market

We don’t have a Whole Foods in our area so it’s always a treat when I go to Sarasota and can pay the store a visit. My favorite is the bakery with all their fresh baked goodies (try the rugelach cookies). I also enjoy the prepared foods section especially the soups (love the dal soup). There is adequate parking and I don’t wait too long on lines. Also, excellent customer service!

This is a great place to buy food. They even offer hot food freshly made. Many bars with choice from around the world. They sell fresh organic if one is into that. The location is downtown and has a nice big parking garage. I’ve lately started looking for Whole Foods just for my lunch. Give it try!

This place was huge & had so many options to choose from. Their hot bar, olive bar & salad bar were all well stocked! Many prepared meals to choose from. I just wish it was closer to me! We were visiting from out of town. Definitely, a great experience. Enjoyed all the different types of food & brands that they offered.

Had some Amazon returns. I was confused as to why it took me so far from home to make my returns, but it did. They gladly accepted them. The associate was very friendly and polite. She explained that Amazon owned Whole Foods and that’s why the returns went there. It was a little confusing. Trying to figure out where to go once I got there. Their customer service desk was kind of tucked away, making it more visible when you’re leaving rather than when you’re entering the store.

I have been lucky to be a vegan runner for the better part of 42 years. As a young TV reporter, I was interviewed and jokingly, said to the reporter interviewing me, I'd love to start a fast food, health food chain, and call it Tofu Tico. Somewhere in that dream I wanted a large health food store chain to exist before there was Whole Foods. In a world where nothing is perfect, I'm glad to say that I live close to a Whole Foods and can pretty much expect the same inventory store to store. Yes, I will support a small local business when I can, but I was always grateful to Whole Foods for sponsoring my Florida book tour when they carried more cookbooks. If I want to get a quick fresh and relatively inexpensive salad or vegan dish, I know I can always pop in and get what I want. With obesity, and all the problems that it creates, it is imperative that salad bars like this be kept open and available.
