The food looked like a delicate piece of art and it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was relaxing. The waitress was nice. We ordered two different sushi rolls. We also drank hot Saké. I definitely recommend going down the list of delectable items and choosing which ones match your taste buds. I'll be coming back, for sure.
Second time here and service was slow today. We were seated right away, but waited easily 10-15 minutes before someone took our order, not even drinks before that. There were only 2 other tables occupied during this time. Once we ordered, the food came reasonably fast and was hot. My Pad Thai looked really good and was made to order, but it was kinda bland. I don't think it had any egg in it, either. My dining partner got chicken katsu with Japanese curry, and he said it was really good. Presentation was nice.
We've been to Star Thai several times prior to writing this review and every meal has been exceptional. This is our favorite Thai/Oriental cuisine in the area. Today we ordered Fresh Roll appetizers with the Star fried rice and Pad Kee-Mow as main entrees -- everything was delicious. The presentation and service was also excellent.
This is a small little resturant. The food is always great. It's might seem like it's a little pricey, but honestly it's not. You get so much food. I've been here many, many times and never walked away dissatisfied. I've tried so many things on their menu, and have yet to find anything I didn't think was amazing.
Plus if you are looking to try it out, they have great lunch specials too!
This place has the best Thai food around! So good a not too expensive, friendly staff, they have great sushi too!!
I had the most amazing time! I have been here once before and really liked it. I came back for the lunch special and I’m so glad that I did! My service was AMAZING and the food was excellent. For $10.95 I got two sushi rolls and a salad (you can also choose to get soup). My food came out so fresh and so fast!
I also had one of the sweetest servers I’ve ever had! I will definitely be coming back here.
This place doesn't look much from the outside but inside it has a lot to offer! It is way bigger than it looks on the inside and the menu is great. We had 3 sushi rolls that were delicious. Prices are pretty good for sushi. Service was a little on the slow side but we were in no rush and we will definitely be going back
Our family has eaten here so many time over the past year because the food is is really good. The reason for 4 stars instead of five is they are always short staffed and their duck dishes are not that good. We've tried ever appetizer and love them all! Sushi is good and reasonably priced. Great little place over all. Oh and it is a little place. Not the place you want to bring a party of 10!
First time ordering and not my last! I'm pretty picky/not a big sushi eater and didn't want to break my healthier eating habits so I tried this place on a whim. Boy, did they not disappoint! I ordered through a local delivery service. Yes, the prep time took much longer than most places like other reviews have stated but honestly it was worth the wait as the food was top quality. The Star Makimono and Super Crunchy Makimono rolls were absolutely delicious with perfect seasonings and just enough kick to the spicy mayo and other flavors to not be overpowering. I could tell the ingredients were fresh. This was by far the best sushi I have EVER had, bar none. Prices are definitely reasonable. I'll be ordering ahead of time for pick up today, I've now found my go to guilty pleasure spot without the guilt.
The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. This is a diamond in the rough. The food was amazing. I had Sushi and my friend had Pad Thai. We were both very pleased with our meal and with the price. I will definitely be back to this restaurant and will recommend it to everyone. I am a very happy customer and so happy I found this great Thai place.
Their curries are the bomb and I highly recommend trying one of them. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. I usually like to order hot tea at restaurants serving eastern Asian cuisines so I was a little disappointed at their selection of generic bag teas but, it's not enough to stop me from going there when I'm in the mood for Thai. Thanks for the good food :)
A bit pricey on their sushi but it is always fresh and presented nicely. Great lunch box value and choices for cheap. Their crispy duck soup is amazing!, so many flavors combine and you cant stop eating it. They have a blend of thai and other Asian countries on the menu, which is pretty extensive. All around a great place to eat. Its tucked away in a shopping plaza so never very busy, you can always just walk in and sit or order and pickup is in no time. Highly recommended!
Fantastic food and service! We love the panang curry. It's absolutely wonderful. The sushi is also wonderfully crafted and gorgeous. Can't say we have ordered anything here we didn't like... It's always been that good. I highly recommend it
I have had both lunch and dinner, Thai and Japanese cuisine here for many years, going back to when they were in a different location. The prices, portions, quality and friendliness are in my opinion the best to be found on the Gulf Coast. I am a regular customer who dines there on average more than once a week. Highly recommended.
They have amazing sushi and excellent service in a beautiful spot but with a laidback feel. Even their music is excellent. I came early so the food came quick. I’m glad we were able to come here.
