My wife and I loved the ambiance, the food was the best authentic Italian food we have ever tasted, the only place that even comes this close is in Little Italy � In New York!!! The staff were amazing we will return again and again to this wonderful restaurant!!!

We had the Criminale pizza, which was generous with the toppings; seafood pasta that I didn't eat any of but my partner said it was delicious; the artichoke app (I'm not kidding - it's one of the best things I've ever eaten); and the antipasto, which was enormous and had all kinds of interesting goodies on it.
Our server brought us some lovely crusty bread to snack on and it was served with a proper dipping oil with herbs and flavoring, not just plain olive oil.
The atmosphere is kitschy casual and the prices are reasonable. This is a great restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal.
I love this place! The olive oil/herb combo for bread dipping is divine! My birthday meal started off with the delicious calamari appetizer, then a lovely side salad and Sofia Loren pasta dish for my entree. So yummy, I would definitely order it again. Then heavenly tiramisu for dessert - my tummy was happy, a perfect birthday dinner!!
Visiting from Cincinnati and stopped in on recommendation of friends. Atmosphere was excellent, food tasted incredible and server Maria was very nice and attentive. We will be back and recommend to others visiting and family who live in town.

Primo!Ristorante has been one of my favorite for many years. They are #1 in my book with their Italian (Neopolian) cuisine. You can't beat their hospitality. They greet you as family...and I Love that imported wine from Italy. Primo's is authentic.
If I could give it 10 stars I would. Have been coming here for over 5 years. The food gets better ever time. Wonderful food & hospitality. We drive an hour to come here.

The setting is like that of an Italian canteen, very spacious and with large and familiar tables.
All the decoration is very careful and there is a lot of detail to look at in the room while the moment passes.
The food is very tasty, in my case I tried grilled octopus which was very tender and tasty.
It has a good selection of wines and in addition to pasta they have a good variety of pizza.
Among the desserts there are several Italian classics, in my case I tried the cannoli and it was quite well done
The attention is very good, friendly and fast, they are always ready to help with any questions.
The place is not usually very crowded
Great good! Ordered carry out, on time and greeted by friendly staff. Restaurant had a great authentic Italian vibe. Food was awesome! Pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza were great. Veggie was unbelievably good with fresh artichoke, asparagus, and spinach. Fresh basil was the icing on the cake. We will be back!
We found this jewel while looking around for a restaurant. And we are so happy! Excellent food! A truly Italian place not a wanna be. Tired of chain restaurants with lot of msg and reduced menu, Primo is authentic and hand made style. Since now, we are going here to eat, plenty of menu options. I am glad they serve authentic antipasto. I attach pic of it and hand made cakes. By the way, the place is very nice also. Prices are much better. We ate more that in any of the 3 main chain restaurants around and we spent less.
We went last week for the first time and what a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by several people including the owner. Aaron was our server and took plenty of time guiding us through the menu. We had meatball sliders for a starter then spaghetti and meatballs, lasgna, pumpkin ravioli, fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and it was all perfectly prepared. Great service, delicious food and a beautiful restaurant inside. We just reserved a table for 10 and we are going back tonight!!!

If you're looking for a Authentic Italian Restaurant, you know it's all about the SAUCE!! Original Italian Owners. You will feel like you're in Italy. It's our little Italy and Sarasota! Meatballs, chicken parm, lasagna - bring your appetite. Family salad dressing too. Dance hall included can learn to do the tango. Watch for entertainment specials.
My family has been going to this place for decades. We are from Italy and appreciate the authenticity of this establishment. The pizza is AMAZING and the tiramisu is very good. If you want authentic Italian, look no further!

I have been coming here since I was a young girl and each time I find the food unmatched and the presentation high quality. The owner is as warm and hospitable as they come and the service from the staff doesn't fall short behind. Will always be one of my Sarasota food landmark's.
Great place with great people. It was very, very busy, but they managed it well. We got a few drinks in the bar while waiting, and bartender she was very sweet.
Food was great. Salad dressing is wicked. I think it was on my lasagna as well. I had to lick my plate. Awesome!

In love! The staff was warm and welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. My waiter was helpful I helping me choose my entree and very attentive. I ordered Lambusco for drink, very tasty. For dinner I chose the lasagna and it is very delicious and cheesy! The bread is served with an amazing oil and herb mix which I could drink from a cup lol! I will be back for sure!

Had a great experience. My aunt recommended it for the family to get together. The food was wonderful, I had the short ribs with risotto, my partner had the Sophia Loren. The short ribs were tender and the risotto was cooked perfect. The service was friendly. Our server made the experience fun. Prices were very reasonable for 7 people with appetizers and wine. Highly recommend this establishment.
