Speaks Clam Bar St Armands

I recently had the pleasure (last night) of dining at Speaks Clam Bar in Downtown Saint Armand's, and it's high time I share my enthusiastic thoughts. Each visit to this establishment has been a culinary delight, and I'm thrilled to finally leave a review. Without fail, the food and service at Speaks Clam Bar have consistently exceeded my expectations. What sets this place apart is their commitment to quality. All of their pasta is homemade, crafted in-house, which elevates every dish to a whole new level of excellence. On my most recent visit, my dining companion and I decided to indulge in the Linguine Frutti di Mare, but with our unique twists. I opted for zucchini noodles paired with a sweet marinara, while my partner went for the classic pasta with medium marinara. Both dishes were nothing short of exceptional; the flavors were divine, and we savored every bite. In fact, we were so thoroughly impressed that, despite our best efforts, we couldn't finish our plates, a rarity these days. The libations at Speaks Clam Bar were equally impressive, ensuring our spirits remained high throughout the evening. What truly elevated our dining experience, however, was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Robbie. His attentiveness, humor, and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening. Robbie's ability to engage with us and share in our joyful mood was a highlight of the night. And here's the surprising part – those leftovers we took home were just as sensational the second time around. Speaks Clam Bar's commitment to delivering outstanding flavors and memorable experiences is truly commendable. It's a testament to the culinary expertise and dedication of the entire team. Now, if I may offer a humble suggestion, as someone who adores the cuisine at Speaks Clam Bar, I would love to see some menu additions. Specifically, the occasional or, better yet, permanent inclusion of a gnocchi special and a carbonara special (with bacon wrapped scallops hint-hint) would be a dream come true. These classics, prepared with Speaks Clam Bar's culinary finesse and their homemade pasta, would undoubtedly be a hit among patrons like me. In summary, if you're seeking a dining experience that combines delectable cuisine, outstanding service, and a fantastic atmosphere, look no further than Speaks Clam Bar in Downtown Saint Armand's. This gem in Sarasota, Florida, continues to impress, and I can't wait to return for another memorable meal, hopefully with those enticing additions to the menu.

Stopped by for a nice lunch and we were able to have a wonderful waitress by the name of Sabrina. She started us off with mojitos and margaritas and they were outstanding! And as soon as we open the menu we realized that we were going to order a lot of food, which we did. The drinks were delicious, the specials were very good and the homemade pasta was excellent. All the seafood had nice taste. I would suggest though with the linguine white clam sauce, maybe adding a little more garlic and with the clams casino, maybe removing a little bread and shucking the clams before baking them. The hot marinara sauce that they brought it was unbelievable. Probably one of the best sauces I've ever had. I wish I could have taken a bottle home but I could not bring it on the plane. Other than that, it was a wonderful meal that was enjoyed by everyone. Five stars. We will be going back next time we're in Sarasota.

Stopped in at Speaks , had some time to kill and it looked like a nice place and we had heard good things, we sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails and some bar bites. The bar staff was super friendly and attentive, the drinks were delicious and very well presented. We order the mozzarella sticks and the raw oysters, both were brought out quick, nice presentation, and tasted great. The oysters were of good size and taste and the two mozzarella sticks were large and tasty with a great dipping sauce. Definitely will go back to try a full dinner.

The place is nice and a service was a top notch. My husband ordered Rigatoni bolognese and the dish didn't look as good as expected. He was so upset i even didn't take a pic. As well as the pasta was hard (all the pasta is house made). So if you a soft pasta fan, just ask them to cook pasta a little bit longer. As far as our server explained. Instead of that he ordered Grilled chicken pesto panini and I ordered lobster bisque with added lobster meat. And two dishes were delicious. Our server (lady) and a gentelman who was trying to fix a "pasta problem" (didn't introduce himself) really provided a great customer service. Will recommend.

We have found one of our new favorite restaurants at St. Armand’s circle. Everything we had was delicious from the lobster bisque to the clams to the lasagna. We came here as a suggestion from relatives and were extremely happy from the service, to the food, to the atmosphere. A great dining experience.
