I had an afternoon to waste... What a great place to enjoy an afternoon with really good and friendly people. The raw oysters were fresh and big. The staff were fantastic. The beer was cold... What more can you ask for? 🍻😀💯

Amazing seafood and great staff. They've been doing this for a really long time and have the steaming process down to a perfection!
We sat at the bar, but they have plenty of tables inside available, plus outdoor, covered seating.
The restaurant has a very comfortable setting, friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the seafood they serve.
A must visit if you're in town (or a local).

Very enjoyable food experience for my son’s birthday celebration! We had the crab legs and two pounds of shrimp. Steamed right there behind the bar! Delicious! We had to ask for more crab crackers so everyone could have their own.

I love this place. Zaid and pineapple really make it feel like a home away from home. Fresh seafood at dive bar prices. Fun vibe . Def try the oysters monkafeller and the mussels get a side of monk bread for dipping .

We had great raw oysters and peel / eat shrimp here. Casual atmosphere and friendly service. Parking was easy out front. Didn’t try anything else to assess the menu. Would return.

such a good price to get fresh and delicious seafood. we can't help to order too much and of course we didn't finish lol... seems only one server at that time but she did her best. we get good service and good drinks~ we just visitors but really want to come back some day!

This place is great! We love Monks, the staff, the food, and the environment.
The environment is casual and the food is EXCELLENT.
Everything on the menu is good but our favorites are the Oysters, Steamed Shrimp, Snow Crab Legs and Mussels.

A great local bar for beers and appetizers although you can fill up quickly on the apps. Outside and indoor seating with TVs to watch a game. Kids allowed to sit outside but not indoors. We love the variety of bottled and draft beers. Get the dozen monkefellas and top it with cocktail sauce, hot sauce, horseradish and/or a squirt of lemon juice. We also like the peel and eat shrimp. A must try!

With outdoor seating. I love how fresh their oysters and snow crab legs are. Our waitress is also very attentive. Their oysters are huge compared to other seafood places. The price is reasonable, especially the snow crab legs. I highly recommend it.
