You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Walt's has the freshest and best tasting seafood in town. We sampled quite a bit from their menu during our visit and nothing disappointed. Server was great and food was delicious.

Everything about this place is perfect! Don’t miss the hush puppies- delicious! Another one of my favorites is the grouper bowl- so yummy! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. The service is excellent, especially Ollie. This is definitely the best seafood place in the area.

Fun, friendly and fresh! I had the grouper salad but it didn't come out as blackened as I liked. It was still delicious! Mike had Walt"s Shrimp, and he loved it. We had their delicious fresh hush puppies, too! New favorite in Sarasota!

I'm kind of disappointed with their high rating online. I think it is overrated.
Went for dinner at 5 pm, but I don't think their seafoods are as fresh as they claimed. The ice tea ordered was watery.
The dishes are pricy, but the quantity of food on the plate is quite large. The fish spread is excellent but served on crackers, not on bread.
It is very crowded and they don't encourage you to stay and talk a little. Feel kind of rushed for dinner. After all, it is a fish market restaurant. Don't expect too much and you may enjoy the night.

LOVED this place for great food as well as friendly staff! We ordered peel and eat shrimp ($19 for 30ct) and Lobster bites ($16) since we weren't that hungry and YES, both were absolutely delicious!! Peel and eat shrimp was served hot, it came with melted garlic butter and you should get Lobster bites here for sure, it was super crunchy on the outside and the stuffing was so flavorful!

This was our first time visiting. Food was amazing! Presentation was beautiful and our server Rhonda was exceptional. She answered all our questions and even shared her favorite items on the menu.
The shrimp is nothing like I have tasted before.
Definitely a new go to restaurant for date night.

One of our favorite places to go for lunch, haven't been for dinner yet. They have a huge fish counter where you can buy absolutely everything fresh as can be including Shrimp, Lobster, Fish Dips, Smoked Fish and Oysters. The menu here has everything on it with a great selection that even the pickiest of eaters will find something on. Staff are very friendly we had the nicest young man yesterday who just couldn't do enough for us.

Fun old school Florida restaurant has been around for over 100 years! Of course they emphasize fish and they provide fresh, right from the gulf varieties. They have a revolving daily fresh fish and have a selection of how to prepare them. Super popular restaurant, friendly staff and seating outside and in. Every time I go I always see a large party of friends having fun and enjoying their meals. Great place to stop by and skip the old chain restaurants.
