Duval's Fresh. Local. Seafood.

We went there on a Tuesday for lunch. Duval’s was recommended by our best friends. We chose to make reservations about a week prior so I’m not sure how easy it is to get reservations last minute. Once we arrived we were promptly seated and the server came over and took are drink order and advised of the specials. The server was very knowledgeable and was able to provide suggestions. Seafood is definitely the main choice on the menu but they have a few non-seafood items. The service was fantastic and the food was very good. Few things to know: Attire can be casual, there is a shuttle that can be arranged to bring you to the restaurant since parking is tricky and the area has many shops to peruse either before or after. Definitely enjoyed the food and would visit again.

This trip to Duvals was for a celebration of life. We had their free shuttle pick up our group of 8 at Lido Beach Resort, and transported us to Duvals (and back after dinner). We had attentive service from Anatoli. The entire meal was great, I had the Sesame Tuna, it was fresh and tasted good, it could've used a little more of its delicious sauce but otherwise very good. A family member of mine got the steak, for being a seafood restaurant, I did not expect a good steak in a delicious darker sauce, surprised me. Another family member of mine had the blackened tripletail fish, I don't tend to like cooked fish, but it had a wonderful crusting on it, also a decent surprise. To finish off the meal, the flourless chocolate cake was warm and tasted quite good, I am not usually one to like flourless chocolate cakes, but this one was on point. I'd highly recommend trying this place out if you're in Sarasota.

We were new to the town so we didn’t know which restaurant to go with the seafood, so we picked from the suggested nearby list from Google map, and it turned out to an amazing dinner. Food: the kids loved the calamari starter as well as shrimp pasta. We had a Duval’s seafood sampler and an ocean scampi. The seafood was fresh and delicious. We couldn’t finish all the food within the night, and the to-go was still fresh and delicious the next day. Service: the hosts were nice, we asked a question that wasn’t related to the restaurant and food, but they were willing to answer. The server was friendly and fun. Atmosphere: my kids thought the decoration on the ceiling looked like the scene in “Avatar: The Way of Water” movie. They also had a great collection of wine. Bottom line: we had a great experience at the restaurant. We will definitely come back.

This place is amazing. Let me start off by saying I booked a reservation ahead of time and made sure I picked an inside booth. I in fact did not. I picked an outside table. Now keep in mind it was our 13 year anniversary and 96 degrees outside. I was super bummed and my husband vowed to no longer let me make the reservations. They sat us at a tiny high top table(which was barely available so thank God) where me and my husband struggled to be happy. About 5 mins later they joined another high top to us and brought us a complimentary calamari dish and everyone walking by said happy anniversary which after 13 years felt so special lol. The server was sweet and the food was spot on. They really helped to salvage my mistake. I will come here over and over again.

I celebrated my anniversary with my wife and we loved it. First we had a nice personalized card when we came in and they gave us a free dessert. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. We both took the seafood sampler and it was amazing. The portion was pretty big. Also try the lobster bisque yummy. The service was great. We definitely enjoyed this place. We will come back once in the area.

We were tourists for a weekend in Sarasota and this was our first stop, we make a great choice, it was a great foodie experience. They’re specialists in seafood, it’s a remarkable gastronomy of Sarasota FL. Since we entered the place the customer service was great and cozy, the dishes were delightful on every bite, the only dish that was like ok was the Eggrolls. Parking spaces very closed to the restaurant and the people’s vibes are unique.
