Review Denny's - Santa Paula

Went to Denny's this morning was a nice time . Wife and I were greeted promptly and had sat down within a min. Time was around 8:30am on a Tuesday. We ordered orange juice and ice tea for drinks . Wife had scrambled eggs and had eggs over medium all cooked very well and tasted great. sausage and bacon were not burned and cooked good as well. I also had French Toast, Wife had the Pancakes.. all around good breakfast. Denny's was a very clean restaurant.

The restaurant is like any other breakfast chain, except the service was very good and that's a big plus with me. It's a restaurant in a not very large town, so it does get busy. Expect a wait, and enjoy your meal. Breakfast has the slams, nice. Lunch , dinner. Give em a try.

Dont go here it had the WORST customer service and food i ever had at Denny's. I would give no stars if i could.Walked in with my husband and grandson. Host/waiter sat us at a table that had crumbs. When I mentioned the crumbs he said he would clean it. I should have went with my gut feeling and left, but we sat down and waited for someone to take our order. I had to find a child chair becuz no one offered it and brought it to our table . Dennys was not crowded and the staff were standing around talking.We waited while watching other customers who come in after us get served. I flagged down a waitress, asked if she can take my order and she said she will get my waitress. The waitress looked very annoyed that i even asked.I ordered the endless breakfast, requested no cheese, my order came with cheese on the eggs. My eggs were remade and return 2me very running. I initially asked for scrambled eggs well done. I noticed I did not get pancakes. So I asked the waitress who said no pancakes come with your order. Again this waitress looked annoyed too.All the time the staff is just talking and laughing. Later i checked on the Dennys websitw and found that pancakes do come with my order My husband order and grandson was ok. Also a friend of the staff who walked in from outside came in, walked behind the counter, laughing and talking with the cook/other staff. I thought for sure this woman would have to stand behind the counter or least wash her hands n wear a mask. But nope she stood talking/laughing over other customers food with the cook . No one ever came to cleaned our table, I evemtually just wiped it down b4 our food came. If we weren't pressed for time i would have complained to mgmt. Dennys your service has really went downhill..

I went get Dinner and when arrived noticed some of tables dirty but Waitress on phone. She bring Menu and order food but noticed waitress didn’t care if help me . The food came and meatballs cold but noddies hot and sauce and corn cold . Everytime look for waitress play on phone and noticed nobody cleaning. Waitress never bring check I went to pay and waitress doesn’t had me check so don’t know how much was so the me total with out check. So ask for check so see total and warn waitress I going review she didn’t care . I paid bill and left . Denny’s why restaurants slow poor customer service and place dirty and got Employees seat not working and playing on phone. These reason why I don’t like eating at Denny’s.

The double chese burger patties was near room temperature about 77 degrees not good and tasteless I can make a better burger at jack n the box and I had to yell for my bill because I was being ignored customer service is horrible. Now I know why denny's are closing in Ventura County it's the employees this one's next this was my last time here for now maybe in a year I'll be back hopefully it has new cook's and waiters I didn't leave a tip that says everything keep looking around for a good burger and let us know I hope I saved your time and have a good day neighbor.

The place was clean but they took long to seat us down and give us a menu.

Staff was more fun with showing each other things on their phone. They were providing service. Got to hear a whole conversation about driving her boyfriend's lexis.

Showed up at 8:45pm, guy said they close at 9:00pm and can only do take-out. I pointed out that their closing time states 10:00pm and he said they close the inside at 9:00pm. Makes no sense. Rather give my money to IHOP!
