I normally never write reviews. But Restaurant Martin - Phenomenal restaurant. Beautiful and spacious covered patio, excellent wine list / delicious food, and top notch service. They are very dog friendly, they brought my dog water in a doggy dish right away which was really nice. Service was prompt and everyone was helping each other out. Many restaurants, even fine dining you see people just standing around. Not here - everyone was helping one another. This is a perfect and amazing place to dine, you get a full experience. I would highly recommend it. I will be back!
As a happy former employee, I worked with Chef Martin starting in 1997 until 2015, with a couple of years off in-between. I can honestly say that I have never worked with a chef as creative, focused and hard working as he is. Ask anyone, he just doesn't stop. Some chefs have that special culinary magic, that makes a good dish GREAT, and he has it. I love eating his food and every seasonal menu change was a learning process and discovery. Much of his genius lies in his passion for learning, his natural instinct for flavor combinations, his incredible cooking skills, and his confidence to experiment. I feel blessed to have worked with him for so many years and I appreciate what I learned from him, especially now that I live in San Francisco. Let us all focus our energy towards him recieving that much deserved 2018 James Beard award. Best of luck Restaurant Martin family!
Jennifer and Brooke were incredibly nice and made a special occasion truly meaningful. The flavors in each dish were exquisite and fresh. If our satisfied palates are any indication, Restaurant Martin finally the merit and recognition from the James Beard Foundation.
Had the yellow tail special of the day, oysters, and pork belly. Waitress was very slow to greet, but the owner stepped in to fill in the gap. She made it feel welcoming and ensured things continued to flow.
The oysters were delicious with complex flavors and all the textures worked well together. The sauce complimented the entire dish.
The pork belly was somewhat bland, but the red sauce was great and complemented the pork.
Will definitely return to try other menu items.
I expected a fantastic meal and was not disappointed in the least. Quaint home atmosphere. Worth a visit or two to try more on the menu.
The best restaurant in all of New Mexico. If you are going to Santa Fe or somewhere near, this restaurant is the place to visit. The staff is amazing, the chef is so talented, and the food is life changing, mind blowing great. Anything and everything that your try here is excellent. Love it! We will be going back again in our next visit! The Truffle Mac and Cheese is still in my dreams!
Delicious meal, excellent service. I have a dairy allergy and the chef basically made me a personal dish based on what I ordered.
I don’t want to give them a 4 because the service is great and the ambience is fun. But the food didn’t have balance 1/3 times I have gone. A little interested to learn more about the Food that got them the James beard.
