Tortas with carne asaada is prime. Service quick and nice. Not expensive. What more can you want!

OMG The best clean tacos! I love chicken chicken mole and Vivas has the best ever! As good as mi mama’s and that says a lot. I am from East Los Angeles where there are many options. I am super picky. Any of their tacos are excellent! Go get you some tacos!

The staff was really friendly! The food would have been great, but they microwaved our nachos and it made them soggy, yet with a stale texture. There was just no need to microwave them. The cheese would have melted under the hot beans.

Vegan burrito is my favorite go to, they also have vegetarian options, fish and other meats. They also have drink options. The best is the quaint corner environment they have in the restaurant. It's simple yet clean and brings you into a calmer space regarless of the funky intersection the store is next to.

They claim they are organic, but only their beans are organic and their beans are in everything so all over their menu it looks like there are organic ingredients, but it is just the beans!
I specifically asked the cook if their tortillas were organic because I did not want to feed GMO corn tortillas to the kids. They assured me they were organic. When I went through their kitchen to use the restroom I saw all of their tortillas stacked on the shelf. None of them were organic or even close, they were all conventional. When I confronted them about it and asked them to bring the pack of organic tortillas that they used for my tacos they could not produce the package. I will never eat there again.
I will not be missing much because I have eaten there several times and never been satisfied with the food, but only kept returning because they were the only organic Mexican food in town. The flavor is not at all worth the price and not even organic!

Vivas is a great little Mexican restaurant in Santa Cruz. Their Chile Rellano is delicious! The restaurant is casual and welcoming. The owner lives in Santa Cruz and is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. They always have disco music playing and I wouldn't want it any other way. It's truly as quirky Santa Cruz gem.

Stopped in for a quick lunch, hoping it would be decent- We were so impressed! Great atmosphere, fantastic staff- definitely will return each time we visit. Being from Arizona, we already have fantastic Mexican Cuisine, but Viva's HANDS DOWN served the best dishes we have ever had. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Food is quality, BUT they are the worst taqueria in town when you compare prices and customer service. The prices reflect the organic ingredients... doesn't make it okay to price gouge you on literally everything else. Chips+$2 salsa+$1 sour cream +$1 avocado+$2 on and on. Unless you eat all your Mexican food w/only meat(A+ meat quality, but they make sure to put hardly any of it), beans, rice(they add tons of rice so they can skimp on meat), and lettuce...you'll be spending far too much on a simple meal. SC local for 25yrs, they need some improvement before I will support them regularly. Try La Hacienda, Palomar, or Salsas before Viva's
