Backwoods Inn

I used to come here for years, but moved away. The food was about the same, but their service leaves something to be desired. They brought me the bill and I handed them my card thinking nothing about it. Then upon review I discovered they charged me for a drink I never ordered. When I point it out they handed me back only the cash without the tax for the drink. Maybe you think that's not a big deal, but why not do it right and correct the transaction since it had not yet been posted. What's funny is that I only ordered two drinks and accidentally spilled the second one. A classy place would have replaced the drink. Instead I paid for 3 drinks and only had one. My memories of this place are tarnished.

Traditional atmosphere and food, with great bartenders. Disappointing to not be able to bring home some of their good prime rib to my handicapped mother, seems showing up in person to place a small order (no UberEATS Postmates etc) is too much to handle on certain busy days, but fortunately "Backwards" Inn is not the only game in town. The big tip I would have happily given the server here on a take out went to another place.

Every time we go here the steaks are tough as hell, and the prices just keep going up. This time though we watched a long haired bartender lady taste a drink with a straw, put the straw back into the drink, and send it out to a customer. Disgusting. Please do not get drinks here. Please don't even eat here 🤢

Really rough experience. Food came out about 45 minutes after we ordered it. Kids burgers were extremely undercooked, wife’s spaghetti was really bad (and had clearly been sitting under the heat lamp for a long time as the plate was dangerously hot to the touch. My ribeye was ok. Not quite the size they claimed, and a little too charred, but with some salt it was ok. My side was incorrect, and the lobster tail was good. Will never eat here again, but I’m hoping for them this was an off night

Hadn't been in over 20 years... Had a large group of 20, with 2 servers. The place was not busy at 6:30 pm on a Saturday evening. Most of the orders came out wrong, several of our guests didn't get their meals, and then our checks were all messed up. I thought we were helping by ordering with Separate Checks, but nothing seemed to help this inexperienced staff. Food was OK; steaks and prime rib were nothing spectacular or great. Ambiance of sawdust wood chips all over the floor of a "nice steakhouse" is just not a good look in 2022... my opinion.
