Ahi Sushi

The sushi tastes good. I've been here in the past and enjoyed it. Tonight's experience was just bad. Went in at 6:15, a group of 4 who each ordered one roll, with 2 extra rolls for a total of 6 rolls. We were the only customers when we came in, and several groups arrived shortly after. Two of the people got their rolls in about 20 minutes. The other 4 rolls arrived an hour after ordering. Water glasses stayed empty for about 15 minutes on average. The wait staff was very friendly on the rare occasion they came around. They gave us 10% off and a complimentary order of edamame as compensation for the delay. While we were waiting for the food, several other groups became frustrated by the wait, canceled their orders and left. A group of about 6 that was waiting to be seated got up and left. I'm not sure if Ahi is understaffed or what, but I've never waited an hour for a sushi roll before and will stick to the other numerous sushi establishments in the area.

CAN NOT complain about food quality. homemade sauces and very fresh fish are the best in town. customer service is different everytime, good and bad, but dont get frustrated by that, because dishes are way worth it!! absolutely my number 1 recommend restaurant in santa barbara. especially for famous local SB sea urchin :D sushi and shooters yummmm!!! my favorite roll is Rajin Cajun <3
