Pleasant outdoor dinning.
Hot Chicken Bao: a little bit over fried,
needs a bigger piece of chicken.
Drinks alcohol & non-alcohol are yummy.
Servers are attentive.

This is one of the best meals I've had in my life. We ordered the halibut special and a pavlova (yes, at the same time, because life is short and there's no point waiting for dessert.)
Every single element was perfect, my only regret is that I have no idea what was in the sauce for the fish or how to recreate it. (coconut? chili oil? something umami tasting?)
We went on a whim (it smelled amazing as we walked by) and it was a total surprise and just... perfect. Yep. that's the word. It was perfect. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Fresh, unique restaurant, but the portions are quite small for the price.
Mie goreng: It was good. That's about it. Nothing particularly interesting, just one of those things that was okay, but you'd never order it again. I guess I expected the sauce to be more flavorful or the ingredients to be more fun? Some acidity or brightness? 3/5
Chicken sandwich with fried bao: Absolutely delicious, and...well, quite tiny for the price. The chicken was freshly fried and utterly juicy and crispy. The sauce was perfect amount of heat. The bun was everything you want it to be and more. One of those things you would eat every day if money was no object. 5/5

Loved my whole experience at Sama Sama! It was so easy to make a reservation for a group of 8.
Food was DELICIOUS! Some standouts were the wings, both Signature and Vietnamese ones - the fish sauce caramel was addicting. Gado Gado salad and Tofu & Broccolini dishes were also must orders!!! Was very surprised at how a potato and egg salad could look so simple but had so much flavor - the peanut dressing is probably the best salad dressing I’ve ever had.

Wow!! We knew very little about Indonesian food so we just ordered by guessing. Not one item was a disappointment. Excellent flavors. Small portions so family style ordering is best to try more off the menu. Leave room for dessert.

Amazing food and better service!! Everything we had was perfect in every respect and could not have been improved on in any way. Anna, our server, was sweet and considerate. She took great care of us and was a helpful guide on our dinner journey.

in order of best to worst: the traditional wings, spanish octopus, short ribs.
the wings were really crispy & i appreciate that they’re all wingtips, my favorite. the short ribs had great flavor but both that and the spanish octopus were a bit chewy and not tender.
cocktail & orange wine were good!
