La Chiquita Restaurant - Santa Ana - Photo album

This was definitely a hole in the wall vibe. The inside feels like you have been transported to the 70s. The food was also authentic and homemade. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate. It was delicious, but the Verde sauce had some spice in case you can't handle that. My husband ordered the carn
My friend Jeff Gibson has been coming here since the 80โ€™s. He told me he wanted to take me and the team to have some authentic Mexican. He delivered. Cool little spot in a residential community which makes it feel more โ€œhomeyโ€. Great service; and big portions of tasty home cooking. Iโ€™ll be back.
Love love love this place!! We were looking for authentic Mexican on a Friday night and tried this place around the corner from our airbnb, and this place hit the spot! Chill atmosphere, beautiful family owned restaurant. The food portions were great for the price and best of all-- DELICIOUS. It's
Always had passed by this restaurant for so many years, finally when I have been searching for a place that serves a specific type of soup, this place was recommended 9.9 out of 10. They did not disappoint!! I will be back soon, AND with more people, cannot wait to try all they have to offer in thei
Small, intimate family run restaurant connected to a small corner market. Best enchiladas and burritos- oh, and chicken soup too. Not exaggerating here. Rice and beans hit the spot with right balance of onion/garlic. A very unassuming spot that I am grateful exists. Food tastes like my mom's cookin
Hidden Mexican neighborhood restaurant in old Santa Ana mixed residential, industrial area near train station. Been here since 1950. I came for the fried, crispy beef tacos, which hit the spot. The chili Relleno also very good. Afterward, hit Blinking Owl Distillery down the street for a craft co
I was looking for a place to eat near the Amtrak station and stumbled upon this gem two blocks away. We were in and out very quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with some nachos, some of our party had the pork special and I had the homemade chicken tamale. When it comes to Mexican
Food is outstanding here. Small tucked in place but cozy and very good. Cheese enchiladas and hard shell tacos are fabulous
Decent Mexican food. But service and atmosphere were really nice and peaceful. Had a great lunch with my father here.
Small restaurant with friendly staff and incredible food. Went on a Friday night, seated quickly and food was fast. The carnitas are absolutely incredible.
Coming here for 30 years. It stays authentic. One of the best places in Orange County. Family owned and they make you feel at home.
Awesome food ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿน, great staff, true neighborhood food diner, kickback & chill atmosphere, walking ๐Ÿšถ distance from Santa Ana Amtrak & Metrolink train ๐Ÿš‰ depot ...Thanks Sammy & Staff ๐ŸŽ‰โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ––
This has been our families go to Mexican restaurant for decades. Just the sauce on the enchiladas is worth the trip. Quaint small family atmosphere. The real deal. Enjoy
Stumbled upon this place and decided to go in. Very clean, nice staff and the food was very good. Had a cheese enchilada and a beef tamale. Prices are reasonable and the service was quick. Will go back. Sorry about the enchilada....I cut into it before I remembered to take the photo.
Sammy, the owner, is also co-owner of the Green Parrot Villa in Santa ana. Both places are amazing. My wife and I were married at the green parrot in 2016 and we had our food tasting at la Chiquita. Its all amazing and they give you a TON of food. The photo i included is the green chili pork burrito
Been eating here since I was a kid in the 60's. Best food ever!
Off the beaten path, this place has been open since 1950 and I see why. The food was great and a big selection on the menu ๐Ÿ‘
This place makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood. We live in Fullerton, but husband and I made plans to meet up here because It is just a few blocks from the Metrolink station and he was driving in from Los Angeles to pick me up before we went down to a show at the Segerstrom Center, which is on
