Awesome food, nice music, nice place to visit. recommend trying dal makhani, malai kofta, butter chicken and garlic naan. The ambience is also good and was quite close to the place where I was staying
Best indian food in the valley. From spicy to mild they have it all. The lunch buffet is awesome too. My personal favorite is the chicken coconut korma but I haven't tried anything I didn't like.
This was a solid place. Went as a party of 2 for the lunch buffet - happy with the modest selection, as it means what's set out remains fresh. Service was good, we felt welcome and comfortable. Will definitely be back.
I love the lunch buffet here. It is fairly priced and the has the variety you would expect. The staff was on point when it came to refills and was also quite friendly. Good for a quick work lunch.
I have been to half a dozen Indian cuisine places in the salt lake valley and have never been impressed until we found this place last night. The tiki masala, naan, curry, and korma were all excellent! As well as the mango shake and the appetizers we had although I don't remember what they were called they were deep fried and battered vegetable things that were incredible! We actually ordered a second order of them, a first for me. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and there was nothing that anyone wasn't happy about. I highly recommend it.
Best Indian food ever! The service is always phenomenal!
Had a great meal there last night! Every dish was distinctly unique, flavorful and blissfully lacking the plethoric cream added to similar recipes at other local Indian cusine eateries. After returning from a trip to India this past Spring, the Indian food I've eaten was sub-standard, in comparison. India House delivers! The Vindaloo had a not-overly-spicy and smokey masala. The Bengan Bharta was sensuous & enjoyed by all, even one of the diners who doesn't like eggplant. The coconut Korma was creamy (without the cream) and had a perfect coconut flavor. The Tikka masala was divine. We couldn't stop dipping roti and naan. Finally, starting off with their samosa chaat was one of the best I've had, even in India. The 2 remodels in the past 4 yrs really improved their previously shabby decor. The staff was pleasant and attentive. I'm sad that I haven't eaten here is so many years (no longer work nearby). It definitely won't take me that long to retutn.
Do You Love Naan Like I Do?. For those who work in central Sandy (do we call it downtown Sandy?) this is another must have on your lunch rotation. This isn't the kind of restaurant that will blow your mind with amazing dishes you've never tasted before. It's the kind of quiet restaurant that serves the core dishes you've come to expect, with good flavour and excellent value.
The lunch buffet is the way to go here. It seems to me that Indian lends itself very well to the buffet style of eatery. It gives you the opportunity to try out all the flavor that the house has to offer. It's not a massive selection, but for me that's a good thing. It means that the food is fresh. All the essential dishes are available: korma, vindalu, tandor, and of course...Naan. I love Naan, and the Naan here is really good. With that slight coating of ghee and herbs, I could eat that all day.
My Favorite Indian Food. I have tried a few Indian restaurants in Salt Lake County, but none have compared to India House. Their naan is cooked to order, so soft and fresh, and delicious! And every entree we have tried we have loved. Specifically the boti masala and the coconut korma (our usuals). The staff is always efficient and friendly. Our meal has ALWAYS been hand delivered to our table by the chef himself. Love that! If you are looking for delicious authentic Indian food... this is the place to go!
This place is bomb diggity!
The food was alright. But the service is great. They replaced the food which has hair in it for free. Recommend their service !
The first time I ate Indian food I visited India House with friends and enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much that Indian has been my favorite food ever since. Now ten years later I moved back to the area and to my surprise the food is still incredible! It’s some of the best food I’ve had in Salt Lake, highly recommend.
Since covid lifted I have returned to visit many of my favorite eateries this was the first Indian restaurant that hasn’t changed there breast chicken to thighs in order to save on expenses. We were glad and there dishes were very enjoyable and delicious just like before we haven’t returned to the other Indian restaurants once we realized that they changed there chicken selections.
My family and I absolutely love India House! We eat here all the time it's our favorite Indian restaurant in salt lake. The family who owns and runs this restaurant are simply amazing. Due to frequenting this lovely restaurant on a regular basis we have become regulars and they are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. This year for my husband birthday they accommodated us by making his favorite appetizer that is no longer on the menu. Everything, as usual, tasted wonderful!
This was the most amazing Indian food I've had. My wife and I have been going to Bombay House for year, we just found this place last night and ended up liking it better. The only thing we didn't like as good or more then Bombay House we the Kheer.
We were so impressed with this restaurant. They have some really good Indian food .
We started with the Assorted Snacks, this one is perfect because it comes with a little of everything to try & of course we had to wash it down with a mango and strawberry Lassi
Things we tried ~>
STARTERS
-Samosa chaat & chicken samosa: vegetable or chicken and green peas, wrapped in pastry dough and fried.
-Vegetable Pakoras: seasoned mixed vegetables battered in chickpea flour and deep fried .
-Mango Cauliflower - this was ohhh soooo yummy

-Garlic Naan
-Paneer Naan
( the paneer cheese one is my fav. Both are really good though, it’s best to get one of each)

-Saag Paneer - the green curry.
- Lamb coconut - the yellow curry
-Butter Chicken - the red curry
-And Yellow Basmati rice
We loved all of them. So many different spices and flavors it really awakens your tastebuds. They have vegetarian options as well. Harkamal was our waitress and she was awesome
Overall we had a great experience here !
We came when it was a bit slow. Y’all - with the quality of their food and service, it shouldn’t be slow. It was great to watch the family running the business. Beautiful family, beautiful food! I was attending a conference down the street. If I’m ever in town again, I’ll be stopping by. Great way to support a local family and local economy.
Food was amazing. Some Indian places give day old or cold food but ours was prepared right to order. It did take longer but it was totally worth it! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners whom’s attitude and service was also amazing. The dim lighting with the Indian music in the back was great while we ate. 10/10 recommend.
Nice Indian food in the valley! The biggest problem with Indian restaurants consistency. My last visit was 4 years ago for this place and after it they are still the same. I am really happy to see that!
We love India House! I ordered the mango chicken curry and the tandoori chicken with a garlic Naan. It was to go and it only took 20 minutes from when we ordered. They are fully opened for dine in now and whole ambiance in there is amazing! I 10/10 recommend for an authentic Indian restaurant!
