Review Tomo Hibachi - Sandusky

Now a lot of the complaints I have seen about Tomo is the pricing, now even though I acknowledge the fact that Tomo one of the pricier options at Cedar Point's Hotel Breakers, you pay for an experience and not just the food. The food I had, the hibachi combination was pretty wonderful, in particular the filet mignon they used was amazing! The rice and the soup that was with it was amazing as well. I think what I enjoyed the most about Tomo was the fact that their were families near me at hibachi tables and not only having fun with the chef but the chefs were clearly enjoying what they were doing, that translated into the food! Tomo won't be a spot for people on a budget or expecting some life changing experience but next time I vacation at Hotel Breakers this will be a spot I will intend on visiting again!

Food was good, service was great. Prices were fair for a resort. Nice ambiance with plenty of fun and lively entertainment.

Fun. Now this place lives up to the kind of meal experience I was hoping for on a vacation to Cedar Point. Flying knives, flaming food, saki squeezes and a really great meal. Like many Japanese steak houses, the preparation and delivery of your meal is as important as the quality of the ingredients and final presentation. Tomo was all of that!!

Wonderful experience....wonderful food....met a wonderful family....I would go back...the only thing that kept it from being a 5 star experience was that nobody came around to refill your beverage....so...drink it slow 😁❤

Way downhill since last year service and overall experience was good but the food was so much better last year when I was here . This year all our steak was a very fatty cut and not seasoned well at all. I also got the scallops and also not seasoned all just sprayed with soy sauce . Also the rice was not good again just white rice sprayed with soy sauce. An on top of the horrible meal my drink was mainly soda water or they lied and gave me Sierra mist one or the other

It may seem a bit pricey, but you get large portions! Very delicious food and great service by the hibachi cook. He makes it fun and also cooks yummy food! Would come back again.

Decent in a pinch given the location. A little over priced though. One main and an extra side was $33.

Food was great! If you go early you’ll sit and watch the employees eat...completely unprofessional if you ask me....it’s oddly silent, no music...just listening to the employees talk and play on their phones. The cook sprayed lemonade all over my son and sake in my moms mouth...we laughed it off but it was awkward. Slow service when we were ready to pay and leave but overall the food was wonderful!

Ehh it was ok, have had way better hibachi.. the chef was very good with his prefeormance though, just the food was not that great.. Panda Express in the park has better rice

I was surprised to come across the recommended ratings for Tomo. Unfortunately, our experience this summer was not so pleasing. Went during the week, so no crowd to contend with (we were the only ones in Tomo's). Disappointed that they did not have ginger salad or noodles on the menu but the show the chef put on was decent. In our party of 5, we ordered chicken that was like eating rubber, and filet that tasted like liver Incidentally, 3 out of the 5 of us ended up falling very ill shortly after eating there.

That had no sushi ; service was ok not the best and no ginger salad at all :( short in staff

Awesome tasting food and the chef put on a great show while cooking, I just wished they’d open up earlier for business during the day!

Super fun and the food is great! Have gone 2 years in a row and will continue to go when visiting CP!

THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!! Almost as good as the park itself. The waitress was fast and efficient the cook was fast and very entertaining. We made reservations on a Thursday evening in June, no delays. The food was delicious! I got the combination ( shrimp, lobster, filet mignon) and he cooked every thing perfectly. Everything at Cedar Point is pricier than normal, we knew that going in. Gotta check this place out if your staying at Breakers! MY OPINION! *SAKE... CHA CHA CHA!

Great food and service. The portions were good but don't expect leftovers. The cooks are very entertaining. I enjoyed flying broccoli hitting my face and sake(first time) being squirted down my throat.

Service was slow. It took 20 minutesto get a waitress, another 10 to get drink order. Had to ask 3 different people to get water. 2 different waitress worked our table. When my son's sushi came he told her one item was wrong. She looked at him and started and said "order correct" and started to walk away. I stopped her and asked for menu. We showed her the order was wrong she took plate without an apology and walked off. We waited a few minutes for an explanation, got none so canceled order and left for another restaraunt. When we left another employee was arguing with a customer who had been chargerd 3 times for wrong item. If you are on vacation in Sandusky, OH do not go here.
